Wrong Billing

I am experiencing the issue of excess electricity billing from past 1.6 yrs

Everytime when I complain the issue will be taken care of for the next bill cycle and after that it's again back to square one with additional tariff.

I seriously think the employees do some goofup while taking the meter reading . I stay alone and spent most of my time outof the house and when I compare my bill with my neighbours...

This is my 2nd complain against BESCOM Marathahalli branch. In last 3 days only 10 hours of power we got. Rest of the time there are power cut here. BESCOM people are not responding the issue quickly and providing wrong information on contacting them. Yesterday (25th Sept 2010) there was no power from morning 7 o clock to 10 PM on asking BECOM we are told there is major fault in Hoody power station. Today (26th Sept 2010) from morning 11 till 4:30 PM there was no power again on asking they told it's local station problem. After some time on asking they told it's Hoody problem. This kind of problem is becoming very common now a days basically in weekends. So I am again requesting the proper authority to please please please take action against BESCOM Marathahalli branch for such careless attitude and lethargic way of handlling work..

    Hi I am staying in Munnekolala, Marathahalli in Bangaore. In the weekends here we are facing huge power cuts. Last saturday (18/09/2010) there was a power cut from 8AM to 2:30 PM. On asking to BESCOM authority (Toll free number, local office, Junior engineer) nobody was giving any specific answer. Yesterday (24/09/2010) there was a power cut from 7:30 PM to 3 AM(25/09/2010) and again 4:30 AM to 6 AM(25/09/2010). This occurred due to a small rain. On asking the BESCOM authorities we are told there is a major trouble which they are not able to trace. Even the response from the Junior engineer was disappointing and that person started misbehaving after frequent query. This kind of things are not new here . Even it is heard that due to some maintenance there will be power cut today (25/09/2010) from 9AM to 6PM. This kind of prolonged power cuts are damaging the study of children, ruining small scale business. But BESCOM is showing it's irresponsibility every time. I request to proper authority to take action against BESCOM (specially Marathahalli branch) as soon as possible for such misconduct.

    BESCOM — HUGE POWER CUTS

    Each and every day there will be a power cut for at least 5 to 6 hours in RT Nagar, KR puram, Rammurthy Nagar. There is no particular time frame, whenever they want they will cut the power, people are struggling here. This has no effect on people who are working in software companies as they will be @ office in AC for the whole day but, what about their families who will be at home ?
    Always the phone receiver will be kept aside and we get the same engage tone whenever we try to reach the electricity department. Irresponsible & careless answers, even if someone picks up the cal. For what sake the government is paying the salaries to these irresponsible persons?
    Why do we have to pay huge tax to the government if it is not doing anything for the common people ?

    Bescom, Bangalore — Unwanted power cut

    I am staying in Munnekolala, Marathahalli area in Bangalore. Here we are facing unwanted power cut not only in the day time but also through out the night. While I tried to call the electricity office for long time nobody pick the phone. Even if anybody pick the phone they tell there is some technical problem most of the time. Through out the day there is around 10 hours o[censored]nwanted and undeclared power cut is happening here. Today (10th July 2010) the power went away from 11PM and it was not there till 1.15 am. On asking the Bescom customer care I have been told there is load shading in my area. I asked them whether it is declared by Govt, they said no and couldn't gave me any satisfactory answer. From last 6 months such power cuts are happening regularly . So please take action against Bescom (at least against Marathahalli section).
    Its the same in Shampur Area... I am sure this is lack of planing... with BESCOM, dont we think we need power to be addressed as a need. Even the small states in the rest of the country is well planned to address power... Karnataka seems to be behind the rest of most states by few years...

    Bangalore looses power with overhead lines... making sure we dont have any overhead lines could save powercuts.

    The best is to privitise power here like in Mumbai... it may be costlier but available...

      Frequent powrcut is seen Bangalore in weekends. On asking bescom peoples are giving various answer like shutdown, station problem, load shading etc and etc. even on asking when the power will come we are getting conflicting answer. Though there are good rain fall in Karnataka but still why such nuisance is being continued ? Can proper authority take some steps..

        Electricity Bill - Non-payment

        Hi,

        Have subscribed for ECS payment for monthly payment of Electricity charges for the last 4 plus years. Even though Electricity charges were debited to my savings bank account, BESCOM officials have disconnected by removing Fuse without prior discussion with us. This has happened for the 2nd time since last 2 years and this is causing lot of trouble. It is disgusting that they are not bothered to fix this issue post removal...

            Today there was a power cut for 3 hours 20 minutes(from 8 pm to 11:20 pm) in marathahalli area. On asking bescom customer care over phone we have been told there is a major problem near HAL and it will come around 9:30 pm. But till 9:45 it didn't came. On asking again we have been told it will come around 10:30 again it didn't came at the said time. Again on asking around 11 we have been told it will come after 1 hour where as it came after 20 minutes.This is my complaint against BESCOM for such irresponsibility towards their consumer and providing misinformation. In weekends these type of power cut is becoming common. Even it has been came to know that these power units are sold to some big company with more rate per units by simply doing such undeclared power cut. This is my sincere request to the proper authority to take action against BESCOM for such negligence. This has been long time I have been putting complain is there any body to look at this forum????

            from yester day(27th Aug2010) to today (28thAug10) at 10:30 AM there is no power in the marthahalli area. specifically Ramanjaneya layout got power cut frequestly.
            i dont know why they are doing with out preor information.
            In marthahali PR Layout every day power cut problem is there either morning or evening minimum 1-2hrs there will be no power if it is for 1day or 2 days we can understand that due to some technical issue but daily it is happening if we call to that office also with out giving proper explanation they are disconnecting the calls

              From past 3 days ,there is a power shut down every alternate hour stating from 7AM and through out the say till 8:30 PM.Its embarrassing as the young and old who needs the power for some of the other purpose suffers a lot.Power cuts use to happen more than 8 hrs per day and really shame to say by stating in teh IT Capital of India.Please let us know is this outage Approved by the Government and how many days we need to suffer like this.

              At this time of the year, most of the DAMs are full and they can generate power with full capacity. There are power cuts for every alternate hour throughout the day and night. I don't know how come we call this Metro City or BBMP.

              It is very bad on BESCOM and karnataka Govt.

                Dear sir

                I am staying at No.70, 1st Cross, Ragahva Nagar,(Near kukkuttam Temple) New Timber Yard layout Mysore Road, Bangalore -26. we are facing Voltage problem in our building. normally 220 V AC should be available i.e single phase. but we are getting 120 V to 180 V AC only. due to very low voltage our water Lifting Moter , TV, Refrigerator, Washing machine are damaging / not working. Please take necessary action do the needful.

                  I called the tollfree number of Besom . First they use to say it is load shading and will come within 1 hour. After 1 hour they say put your complaint and we will convey your message to respective department. Then they start saying power will come within 10 minutes. Then next time you call they start saying the same thing that power will be there within 30 minutes. I tried to call local office. There phone always shows busy.By chance if they pick the phone they show very rustic behaviour. I then tried to call the Jee. This person can't understand Hindi or English. He also plays the same game of saying that power will come within next few minutes but power never come for hours. Even this Jee is very harsh while talking. Most of the time I have been told that there is problem in line and they are trying to fix. I observed a little rain is making the thing worsen.I rarely stays at daytime in weekdays. But when I stays at home in weekends I noticed such ridiculously high power cut. This is my second complain against Munnekolala (Marathahalli) Bescom branch.Last week also same thing happened and I put complain. but I found o change. So this is my sincere request to take necessary action against the officials of BESCOM who are responssible for such negligence and those who are damaging the image of beautiful city Bangalore..

                  It was actually notified in all the newspapers that there will be load shedding close to 10 hours in many areas...those authorities know only Kannada and its best way to converse with them in local language to get prompt replies.

                    Hello sir/madam,

                    With lot of grief i'm writing this. Please do act on this. I'm resident of munnekolalu, marathalli region. Here it's a common practice of the bescom officials is power cut. To be honest i'm fed up with this power cut.
                    I'm a common man grown up from middle class and i can understand the pain of the government, but this is going very very odd.
                    Just think there are lot of children and old people in this place, please do think of them atleast.
                    Please please please. For everything there is some patience level. Try to understand the pain behind and act accordingly.
                    Still have some hope from bescom.

                      I stay at Basavanagudi near sakama garden. From past 1 week there has been an increase in powercuts from the scheduled 1 hr (which is normally seen in bangalore). Last Saturday was the most frustrating day for the locality as the power frequently went off and did not came till the early morning, and the routine is continuing on Sunday morning as well. What is the most disgusting and frustrating part is that when I try to call the Bescom Helpline nos. either they do not respond to the calls or make rude statements that its a routine cut will be restored in few minutes or call after half an hour.. this is disgusting from an Government organisation which has to work for peoples welfare and not torture them. I urge Bescom to train there people to behave properly and work efficiently.

                        This is Arun here,, i m staying im Rajendranagar ,kormangala,near passport office,,
                        Our residents people daily facing a problem because of power cut,,
                        Once it gone usually its take 2 to 3 hours daily,,alteast 4 to five times will be power cut, only in tht particular area,,next street to my hosue is other Power Transfomer it gives supply to Koramangala Layout,, There is rare of power cut,,if it goes also it will come within a 10 mins time,,even v are human beings like them,
                        beacuse of power cut one accident took place in Rajendranagar road on 29 june2010, there is no street light ,A person driving a bike met an accident because of poor light in door divider,,

                          I paid the May 2010 bill well before the due date but the amount still appeared in the June 2010 bill. When I showed the receipt at the Belandur office, I was asked to pay the June bill without the arrear amount. I did so. The money paid on 10-May-2010 is not reflected in BESCOM's system. Although I met the concerned officials at the Belandur office on 12th and 21st of June and made several phone calls to the HSR Layout office to keep them posted that there is no dues from my side, the power supply was disconnected on the 24th of June. After several requests, the power supply was restored. It's been more than 40 days - the money is not yet credited to the right account causing disconnection without any fault from my side. It would be great if BESCOM looks into such matters and bills once paid do not appear as arrear for the following months.

                            The most pathetic electricity board in this country. Most pathetic. They have no respect for citizens' well being and are absolutely inefficient. Transformers blow up as regularly as one can possibly think of. Then they do not find it necessary to rectify these problems as soon as possible. God forbid if the transformer blows during the evening then only expect to get it repaired the next day. Last sunday the power supply was absent for 24 hours because Bescom deemed it unnecessary to get it repaired asap. I find it amusing that a state which outsources its power to neighbouring states cries about the lack of it. I stay in koramangala 6th block and experience long power cuts everyday and it becomes longer during the weekends when families want to spend sometime with each other. Bravo BESCOM. You are a living proof of shameless service providing inadequacies of our Government organizations.

                              Hi,
                              I am staying in Thubarahalli Village, Near Kundanahalli Signal, Marathahalli Area. There is no power supply whole night yesterday. I called Bescom Officials. They said 30mins, 1 hr...I waited till night 1 O'clock. There is no power. Then I slept. Still there is no power. I came to office and lodging the complaint. If there is any problem why cant they say exact time. Whenever I call they will say power will come in no time.

                              I spoke to Assistant Executive Engg and Bescom Officials. I used to call daily...I never call my parents daily but to bescom office i use to call regulary. They are not rectifying low voltate problem.

                              In Thubarahalli area power cut is more than 4 or 5 hrs. There is no specific timings. If any timing is there then we can plan our work. Whenever they will get mood, then they will cut the power.

                              Finally, Please rectify power problem in my area. Because of power problem, today I dont have water to bath. I came to office without bath.

                              By God's grace, If power comes I will do bath today evening.

                              BESCOM — No power supply in marathahalli

                              Hello,
                              It seems the BESCOM employees near the marathalli branch are on mass leave.. there is no power supply since today morning. Now the time is 9pm but there is no signs of power coming in! Could someone take a note of this and help restoring the power supply?

                              Sir i am staying in SIDDAPURA, ( varthur main road) . from past 2 months this problem as occured. we have complaint so many times, but there was no response regarding this concern. If any problems occurs please don't blame on people.by simply saying that there was no complaint of this issue. please check this and save people

                                6 months delay to give new power connection

                                I am Dr. Mohan and I have constructed my new house in No 48, 2nd cross, Nandadeepa Layout, Near Panchasheela school, Pattanagere, RR nagar, Bangalore. I have submitted my application for new connection of electricity and registered my application with BESCOM on 18/01/2010 (receipt No. 4084 dated 18/-1/2010).

                                On 30-May-2010 due to heavy rain tree has fallen down on electric wires. From then, no power in AECS layout. It was almost 20 hrs without power. Bescom staff does not respond properly on phone.Very frequent power cuts daily. It is runing the professional and personal lives of the people.BESOM is not bothered about the problems faced by people. They are so negligent about the compalints and doing the work very slow at their own pace. Please consider our complaints and reduce the power cuts.

                                No power in Koramangala industrial layout on 31st May 2010 since morning. I am not sure how these people would like the businesses to run?. Our generator is burnt due to continuous run. I am sure they were sleeping on Sunday.

                                No sympathy for the public, no commitment, no professionalism. Existing businesses are dying because of lack of Power and BSY is calling for investors meet. Shame!!
