[Resolved] Bigcity Promotions — Vouchers of big city from standard chartered are of no use . | |
I got big city promotions movie and dining vouchers from standard chartered bank with my credit card. These vouchers are almost use less. I tried to book for a dinner 3 times. i haven't any response for the first time. then after they are giving me only 2 restaurants to choose from the list of 15 to 20 restaurants they show for pune for a weekend . As these 2 restaurants are too far for me to go. I have no choice to cancel them every time. I tried to book for a weekday. same response. So there are only 2 restaurants to chooose for entire pune city. I have booked for a movie for a sunday using the movie voucher. I got the call and they given me the Winpin number to book the tickets in bookmyshow.com. After an hour i started booking my tickets and got a message "WinPin already used". I called back immediately but they wont respond on sat and sunday. As i have already planned for a movie i payed the full amount. So in this way the vouchers of no use for me. Just waste of my time and money on calls and mainly mental peace. Was this information helpful? | |

I have also met with a similar experience.I have got the 2 big city coupons from Guardian...for dining and movie which are of no use...as both of these companies are propogating wrong information about offer and making fool of customers. This is nothing but a marketing gimmick. Firstly we have been told that the movie offer is available on all major cinemas, but on calling the number given on voucher it was confirmed it is only big cinemas. The ordeal does not end there, and i do not wish to continue and mention the complete incidence here as if these people are intersted to contact me, they can do that on my e-mai id [protected]@rediffmail.com and seek more details...which i am sure they will not...BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE I WOULD WARN OTHER CUSTOMERS TO ABSTAIN FROM THESE MARKETING GIMMICKS AS IN NUTSHELL THIS IS WASTE OF MONEY, EFFORTS AND MENTAL PEACE...

I too availed the Free Movie Ticket offer over the sweets worth Rs. 600/-. The difference is I was rather satisfied by availing the movie tickets, unlike you.
I had purchased some sweets from Bikanervala worth few thousands and got an offer of either taking sweets or few movie tickets. I took the tickets offer. Few days after, I booked my tickets 2 days in advance and to my delight the process was too easy and convenient.
In your case, I believe there must have been some discrepancy at your end in making the booking in advance. Obviously no one shall entertain on the spot availing of the free offer, and more over it was mentioned in the terms and conditions too. You could have also approached the Bikanervala officials. And the rest as they say, Let the buyer be aware, though I m very happy with the Free Movie Tickets offered by Big city.
Looking forward to watch more FREE movies and redeeming rest of the vouchers.

My experiance with Bigcity too is not great! Am trying to utilise dining vouchers for the last two weeks...no body is answering the phone..one time i got thru and was put on hold for 15 mins, and had to disconnect. This is pure marketing stunt.The sad part is a reputed bank like Stan chart is doing this...
My Experience to Bigcity is too worst...I have booked the movie for Monday 26/Dec/11...and they did not call me back, i am still waiting for their call...and today is 24/Dec/11...i can't even call them today and tomorrow, as these are week ends...God knows whether they will call back...i will comment back after Monday stating my status...
On the 2 and june they said that my prize has been dispatched but they are now saying that once my document s are verified the prize will been dispatched with
