Blackberry — new handset that is Faulty- want refund | |||
Hello, This is to lodge a complaint against the company Blackberry for giving me a faulty handset (twice) and causing me great inconvenience. On 2nd October 2010, I bought a new handset - the 3g Blackberry Pearl 9100 for Rs. 20,569 from ‘The mobile store’ at Worli naka. The registered office for the Worli branch is Essar House, 11, K.K. Marg,Mahalaxmi, Mumbai 400034. There was an audio problem in the phone, which the company after much persuasion, agreed to replace and gave me a new handset on the 23rd of October 2010. Now the new handset turned out faulty as well. This time, the outgoing suddenly stops and comes back on its own. It’s not an operator problem. I am able to make an outgoing from another phone with my sim card. So, on the 9th Nov, I sent another email to the blackberry corporate communication and told them about the problem. Since then they have been trying to resolve my problem on the phone and a customer care person from their team calls me everyday for details but no one is refunding my money. I don’t want to go through trials everyday with regards to a phone as it’s a loss to my business, my time and energy and causes great inconvenience. This is purely taking the customer for a ride. If they replace it for the third time also, there is no assurity that the handset replaced will work. Hence, I would request for a refund of Rs.20,569 at the earliest so that am spared of mental harassment and I can buy a new phone for myself with that money. Within 5 days if a phone is spoilt, why should a consumer take a repaired phone? It is within the warranty period and since they are unable to replace it with a handset that works, they must please refund my money. I cannot leave my office and go every other day to the Khar office from parel ! THESE BLACKBERRY COMPANY PEOPLE SHOULD BE TAKEN FOR STRICT TASK FOR CUSTOMER NEGLIGENT BEHAVIOUR AND NOT GIVING A PROPER REPLY WHICH MAKES ONE BRUN FROM PILLAR TO POST.
