[Resolved]  Canara Bank — False and iresponsible Information Given by the manager

My Father has given a Canara Bank cheque that needs to be paid to the SBI. The cheque amount is around 5000. The SBI bank representative called my father and told the cheque was returned by the Canara bank due to insufficient amount; However my father was very confident that he has around 20, 000 in his account. He went to the canara bank located at Saidapet, chennai (where he maintains his account) he asked the manager about this, when the manager checked the account of my father he himself found that there was more than sufficient amount available in my father's account and he also gave an lethargic reply asking my father to go and collect the cheque so that he will clear that. Is this the way a leading and prestigious canara bank train their employees to speak to the customers?

I fully agree and I feel ashamed to tell that I am an ex-employee of this bank . We ( myself and my freinds )have the same or worse experience of very poor customer service in Borivali(west), Mumbai branch
Dear sir,

sub: non issuance of check book (s.b.a/c.no:[protected] in canarabank, sakinaka branch.

I Mr.Vishwanath s.naik open Joint account on 6/04/2009.In application forms i filled all information including internet bank service, debit card facility. After one month I received Debit Card. They were not taken my specimen signture on specimen signature cards. They serching my application here and there after one hour they found.
On 18.08.2009 I deposited Rs.31, 500.00 cash at 10.30 am. after one hour they credited in my account . I want transfer Rs.20, 000/- to my native place (CANARA BANK, HAMPANKATTA BRANCH)mangalore. I received SMS after 5.O'clock from DK-canara bank.

One lady clerk argue with me regarding minimum balance. She cannot issue cheque book because of minimum balance. So far I could not received cheque book. What can I do tell me and how can I continued my account.

My A/c. No.[protected], I received remittance for Rs.20600 & 5400 from Provident Fund department. The same day Canara Bank has credited the amount and returned the amount due to Name Mismatch. I enquired with account opening branch, they informed us that we have to ask ECS department. We do not know whom we should contact in ECS department. Anyhow if possible I request you to kindly confirm us why the amount is returned. If we know the reason we can contact our Provident Fund department.
My A/c. No.[protected], I have received ECS remittance for Rs.20600 & 5400 from Provident Fund A/c. The same day on 19.08.2009 amount has been credited to my account and returned the same by mentioning name mismatch. I enquired account opening branch, they informed us the transaction is made by ECS department. I would like to know the reason, why the amount has been debited, so that we can contact Provident Fund department. If possible kindly provide us ECS department e-mail address or you can confirm us why the amount has been reversed.
Customer Complaint dealers, I am a regular customer of canara bank, Hanumanth Nagar, Bangalore 19 since 2001 onwards with S.B.A/c No;[protected] & i was having ATM cum Credit for with rxpiry date[protected] in my name Ariyandath Chandran.As usual i informedConcerned bank manager.Cancard Division, Customer care unit &all for getti ng renewed ATM card in my name to my Kannadi, Palakkad address by regd post. as I am staying here since[protected] onwards.I sent e mail on 31-5-09& 3-4 E mail reminders also to all the concerned.After 21/2 months &sending 3-4 emails on 18-8-09 one manager informed me by my phone no 0491/2523175 my ATM card is ready in my name ARIYANDATH CHANDRAN& I have to go personally & collect it from that Branch Manager where I am having S.B A/c. in my name. Since I am asenior citizen and undergoing Medical treatment for back ache&kneel joit pain
I requested him to send my renewed ATM cum Credit card by Regd post as per my request .as the citiBank at Chennai has sent renewed ATM card in my Mrs name at Palakkad address by Regd post without any reminder & giving no problem to the Customers as "Customers Satisfaction is their prime motto" rather than strictly adhering to bank principles & .adament bank Laws. Secondly My E.P.F. monthly Pension also is crediting in the same Canara bank which shows I am not one very old Custo mer also.If i will have to go to Bangalore for taking Renewed ATM card from that Branch Canara bank I have to spend about Rs900/towards to&fro bus charge, One day Halt in som Lodge&returning home.So please help me to get my ATM card by Regd post to my Home address #10.307.Souparnika, M.P.Road, kannadi post, Palakkad:678701, Kerala..Even though I sent 3-4 emails to them they never sent even one E mail to my e mai address [protected]@hot mail.com for courtisy sake.Kindly solve my problem at the earliest to enable me money from ATM counter with renewed ATM card.Thanks (A.CHANDRAN[protected].00PM

Canara Bank — NO statement received for past 3 months

I am an employee of Canara Bank at Arikere branch, Bangalore. My Cancard no is [protected].
I havent received the statement o[censored]sage of my card for the past 3 months.

Please make sure I receive it as early as possible..

I, K Balram working in BSNL Hyd. applied for a takeover home loan. After repeated perusual of all my documents the processing branch(Bashherbagh) Manger assured me that my entire amount as reflected on my Foreclosure statement will be given as loan. On assurance of all my eligibility conditions by the Manager I got legal verification and valuation done for which I spent an mount of Rs.4000/-

The mangaer at at Adarsh nagar Home loans branch after scrutinizing my application says that I am eligible for only the 80% of registered value. which happened to be almost 1.5 lac less than the our standing balance as per my Foreclosure statement.

The property value as per valuation (Presently) Rs.20, 00, 000/-

The amount as per Foreclosure statement Rs.6, 75.000/-

The register document value as on July 2006 Rs.6, 29, 000/-

The gross salary per month Rs.23, 235/-

Take home salary PM Rs.16, 000/-

Now the branch manager at adarsh nagar says he can only give 80% of 6, 29.000 ie 5.35 L which is almost short of 1.4 L .

I inquired about the criteria for take over loans from SBI, LIC and Syndicate Banks all of them said they would consider only the present property value and our standing balance provided I am eligible as per my pay and perks.

First of all I would never like to object to their criteria. without proper information why the processing branch Manager (Basheer bagh) happen to give me wrong information and made me to spend rs.4000/-. Had he told me about my loan eligibility prior to valuation report and legal report I would have decided whether to go for a take over loan or not.

Now I request the highest of highest of authorities to rectify this criteria issue and give me the loan as per other branches. Had I not incurred the legal and valuation charges of Rs.4000/-, I would have happily changed over tho other branch being unmindful of spending around Rs800/- on getting ECs and on photocopies of documents.

Hence I request the authorities either refund my charges of Rs.4000/- or process my loan.

this Arumugam from madurai here the complaint is i ve opened saving account and also registerd for the ATM card but there is no response from the bank when ever i went to the bank they not giving proper response and also i ve registered for online banking the Manager told that online facillity is not available in the bank but other bank user uses online facillity and also get atm cards with in the month

Canara Bank Branch kariapattinam branch is agreed and get application for education loan for my son on 02/09/08. security of property worth about 8 lakhs. On 1st october 2009 the branch manager rejected the education loan application without valid reasons.
week so kindly E-mail the status of the card and waiting for your reply.

Canara Bank — False Money Transactions

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to lodge a complaint against my bank, ie; Canara bank, Jadhavpur Branch, Kolkata. The bank is harassing us for the past 1 year by deducting the running house loan premiums from my account as well as, from my mother's account simultaneously. Whereas, a year ago, a standing instruction had been given to the bank authorities to deduct the premiums only from my mother's account. But, every month they deduct the amount from mine, as well as, my mother's account. Since last year, we had given them 4-5 reminders, but nothing has been done so far.

Last month, when we insisted, they had confirmed that they will be issuing a letter to us confirming that henceforth, no amount will be deducted from my account & all the extra amount that they had deducted will be adjusted & we will have to make no further payment till December'09. The next premium will be payable in Jan 2010.

However, its about 20 days now but we have not received any letter from them, even after a couple of reminders. Meanwhile, they had again deducted the premium from my account 9 times this month resulting a huge amount missing from my account.

We are simply disgusted & frustrated with their services & would like to report a forgery case against this bank.

If anything else needs to be done from our end, kindly let us know.

Canara Bank — delay service

Is there any process of getting them online.

I am not getting any reply of my letter ( Registered) dated 7.11.09 for closing my S.B A/C 1821. I sent one reminder on 4.12.09 that also has not been replied yet. Should I expect some action from your side or I will have to write some higher authority regarding this.

I am very sorry to point out that you do not care to act what your customer has to say. I sent one letter on 7.11.09 under registered post for closing my S.B A/C No.1821 for which I sent my Pass Book along with unused Cheque leaves. I have sent one reminder on 4.12.09 and sent reminder after reminder through e-mail none of these has any effect till now. Please write me if you think it proper to attend to customer's complaints. I shall be waiting for few more days then I shall aaproach consumer court with documents.

I applied for ATM card two months ago But I have not yet received the card. when can i get the card.

Whenever i go to the bank and ask about the status of the card their answer is your pin number is there but

not card come next week, next week.So kindly E-mail the status of the card and waiting for your reply.
