[Resolved]  CIBIL — 2 different versions of CIBIL report

Hello,

I had applied for a home loan from HDFC bank which was approved and sanctioned by the bank without any issues. But the builder had some technical problems with the bank which did not resolve so I was requested by the builder to apply for a home loan in some other bank. Accordingly I applied for a home loan in Bank of Baroda(they claim to process home loans in just 6 days). It took over month for them to come to a conclusion over my home loan application (for which I had to chase them down several times..!! my application file was below dump of several files and it took real efforts for the bank guy to find out my file)

coming back to the real complaint...Bank of Baroda had my CIBIL report which states that I have not disclosed a loan of 80000/- and also a credit card details. At present I have only one credit card and have submitted the details for the same with the bank. On the basis of the CIBIL report the BOB bank rejected my application plea. When I asked them for a work around they suggested that I buy a HDFC std life insurance product from them of 20000/- which would increase the weight of my home loan application and they will process it within 3 days.

Now I asked the BOB bank official about the CIBIL report he had no answers. I aslo checked with HDFC bank and they said my CIR was clear. Now I need to know how come I have 2 versions of my CIR????

Can anyone please suggest me on what action I can take ??

Pl. consult a lawyer friend and demand info under the provisions of RTI (right to information) act. Then take these people to task. Actually all these finance cos. are agressive in uploading info. whether correct or incorrect is immaterial. Just what appears in their records. They do not take the pain of verifying the facts. That's the irony.
Is it safe to share our Voter id, passport number with Cibil to get the deliquency details.

I heop they dont use it in any wrong means?
I'm totally agree with the complaints mentioned above and I feel there should be the way to solve the issue rather than putting in some stupid system to make people suffer. here the cibil system is such that only consumer will suffer not the bank whom so ever committes the mistake. There are lot of other reasons, for which people don't pay, it could be false promices by bank, bad services, wrong practices etc. we all are well aware that such things happen. But if the solution is only to harrase common people then we are not solving a problem. we are increasing it. in near future we'll have no choice but to dump CIBIL.
We all need to know the solution to solve the issue. if even after settlement, there is no help from CIBIL, there is no settlement. Payment the outstanding amount has no meaning.
