[Resolved]  Club Mahindra Holidays — Lack of transparency by salesperson

All you people-- please do not fall a prey to marketing calls received by club mahindra to come and join their membership---- They are all cheaters and will give only part information on the products... after they have made you sign the form you will get fooled BIG time.... I suggest nobody register for their third class membership-- They are highly priced and all their resorts are in the interiors. You are forced to travel by their transport which is priced too high--- Food is very expensive and every thing is charged. not at all reasonable...

Club Mahindra — Lack of Tranparency

On 17th of March 08, I was invited to ClubMahindra outlet over phone, to which I visited along with my wife at Galleria Mall, Vashi - Navi Mumbai. After spending an hour with an marketing executive Mr. Hathiram, I was forced to convience that I should take the membership to avail special offer. I asked him let us take a day to think over it and go through the product details and than we will take the decision. And I wanted to pay it by check or cash. But, his aggressive marketing skills made us to take the membership on the spot by using my credit card.

Well, after completing all the formality and with a mixed feeling (obviuosly I was not happy but there are times when you take drastic steps, when someone diretly hits your ego and these guys at Club Mahindra very well know how to do that), we left the outlet. I was told that we should be recieveing the Welcome Kit in 10 working days. The Kit never came to us within 10 working days. I visited the Vashi outlet and enquired about it, I was told that it should be coming in a day or two. But I received the welcome kit on the eve of 3rd of April 08. After going through the document I came across the clause that I could cancel my membership with in 15 days of the time I have enrolled myself (This clause was never told to us at the time of registration).

I immediately called up customer care and requested to cancel my membership with immediate effect to which they said I shud have called before 15 days, in reply to this I told I was never told earlier about this clause and your pacakge came ot me after 15 days on 3rd of April 2008. I even went personally to there corporate office at Vashi, verbly they accept all the above but not ready to refund my Rs 30000 (Thirty Thousand).

To reach to the right person and to let the right person read and understand my situation, I wrote numbers of mails and made calls endlessly, I have all mails saved in my sent box and can also provide telephone bills to prove the calls made at Club Mahindra numbers, several times. But it was only me who was trying to reach them, every time I was told that some one will get back to me in 48 hrs, to which no one ever called back.

On 20th Aug 2008, I posted my complaint at https://www.consumercomplaints.in/my-complaints.htmlclubmahindra-c72514.html to which they called back on 19th of Feb 2009. Around same day when my daughter was born and due to this I requested them if they could call me sometime later so that I could talk to them in peace.

I did received call later from Chennai and later we agreed upon that some one from Mumbai will call me to settle the dispute. I was again happy that after a day or two someone from Mumbai branch did called me but as it was my office hours I was not able to take call for long time so I requested if he could send me the details in mail than I'll respond to it later. But after that call, nobody took care to send me the mail or call me.

I request your assistance in getting me my money back from such organization to which I will never recommend anyone.

I have not at all availed any service or any other benefits from ClubMahindra.

It seems that you talking on my behalf. I am facing the same situation & finally today I have filed a complaint on this Forum. I think we all together should take some harder action get the Justice.
