[Resolved]  Credit Card — Harashment & Dominating treatment from SBI credit card cell

Dear sir,
PLEASE GO THROUGH MY SO LONG STORY.
I accepted the personal loan proposal received from SBI. I took Rs. 52200/- loan from SBI bank. I agreed the terms which told me that time by SBI representative. I asked so many questions to SBI representative.
I got that loan by cheque.
After around one month I submitted some amount around Rs.40000/-. That amount was not deducted from my loan. When I asked about it, SBI representative told me that I must call to customer care & request that kindly credit this amount against my personal loan. I called cust care. That guy told me that u must submit total amount to forth close the loan.
POINT no 1. No one told me about this formality.
I asked about the figure of total outstanding amount. The representative told me some amount. I submitted that amount. Again the loan amount was reflected in next statement. I called cust care, That representative told me that due some mistake, earlier calculations r wrong. Now u has to pay Rs 1800/- to forth close the loan. Again I paid some amount (more than 1800/-).
Point no 2. Due to the mistake of SBI representative interest of one month was charged. Who is responsible for that amount?
Again after some days when I called customer care, & came to know that still the loan was not settled. I called again to customer care. That representative told me that "your request of forth closer was not forwarded that time Now I forwarded it & the loan will forth close within next two days"
I saw the statement dated 2 oct 2008. & I am confused. still the loan not forth closed due to the annual subscription charges charged. Actually the said card is life time free from annual subscription charges. & I need to fight to wave off these charges. These charges were reversed after few days, but who is responsible for the interest charged due to this mistake.
Point no 3: who is responsible for the interest charged due to this mistake.
I mailed this story to cust care. I called cust care during oct 2008 regarding this story.
I told cust care that I wish to know that “how much amount u recover by me against the historical loan of rs.52200/-? I[censored] failed to send the details about the said loan, I am not going to any further payments, charges, late payment charges to u.

There is no any positive response from SBI side to settle this matter.
I wish to know that how much total amount I paid or SBI recover by me against the loan of Rs.52200/- including interest, finance charges, processing fees, forth closing charges to SBI.
No one is ready to inform me about the said details.
I answered more than 400 calls during last three months. I need to tell all above history to every ph call of SBI & still the outcome is zero. I am very much depressed due to the phone calls of SBI credit card. The recovery agency was so rude & now I too due to all these complications. They don’t have sense about "how to talk with cardholders". SBI & their representative are continuously doing harassment to me. The treatment given by SBI is very much dominating & feels insulting to me.

So I beg u that please find some solution & help me to resolve the matter as early as possible. Please stop the calls from SBI side regarding this subject.

SBI Credit Card — Harashment on payment

I had one SBI Credit card.On 1st week of Feb'2007 I purchased on mobile cost around Rs.11250.Then the SBI people called me many time to make it installment basis for easy payment.I refused many time.At last before my statement date I agree for it but my condition was it should reflect in my current month statement.They promised for that.But my statement of that month show me to pay the full amount.So I paid the full amount.On next month they send me the installment statement .When I inquered about that and ask to cancel it, they refused me and said you have to pay it.And I don't know whether they registered my complain or not.Then every month they send me the same statement with some new intersts.when I complained for it agian they reduced that amount to around Rs.2000.But I didn't feel to pay it.After 2to 3 months some one call me and said to pay the amount .when I asked what was my fault, he told You had some cheque bounced on 2005.That amount you have to pay not the recent one.when I said that the bounced cheque amount I had paid to your boy who came to my resident.But he didn't agree on that.Then I told him to give phone to his senior.I asked the senior if somebody bounced on cheque and didn't pay it on next month then till what period you will not block the card.He told me maximum 2 months.Then I said if I bounced one cheque on 2005 and not paid, how could you allow me to use the card till 2007.He didn't have any answer.He told me he will see to the matter personally.After that nobody called me for along time.I thought the matter closed.But now again they are calling to my residence and harasing me.

Three weeks back I got a call from SBI Credit Card executive asking for the interest in taking SBI Credit Card.First I was not agreed because I am already having one HDFC credit card.But after lot of calls from the executive I agreed to take the card. And Igiven the documents for proof like Passport Copy, Pan Card copy, Phone bill, HDFC Credit card Statement and copy of the HDFC credit Card. I got a message from SBI card to my mobile saying that your application for the card is under process and given given me the application number. And this week I got a message saying that they are unable to accept my request as it doesn't meet their internal policy. After this I called the SBI credit card customer care and asked the reason why my application rejected. They are not ready to tell the reason.

This is a common incident now when I checked with my friends, they also had the same problem with SBI. We are giving all relevant documents to them and after this they will tell they will not be able to accept our request. After getting lot of request from the exeutive, then only most o[censored]s are giving application for credit card.
So any one receiving call from SBI card be careful before accepting the offer, because we are giving xerox copies of our valuable documents.

I am writing this mail out o[censored]tmost harassment done to me by SBI card. I was holding an SBI card # [protected]. The outstanding which I had for Rs.25, 000/- I cleared it in 5 shots & eventually I got the settlement letter from SBI card bearing the tracer no.GGN[protected] dt. 18.04.08.The settlemet was done through some Mr. Mannat Singh of the New Delhi office.

I was told from Mr. Mannat Singh that the SBI card will not call me for outstanding dues since I have cleared up all the dues. But to my biggest surprise I was getting calling frequently even on odd timings of Sundays as well for payment of my outstanding dues.

Every time I tell the SBI Card people over phone that I have made the payment they reply very carelessly that there is a mistake somewhere in their updation system. Even I got a call on dt. 22.09.09 that it was the last & final call for settlement confirmation.

But, today morning I got the same call for clearing the dues on the SBI card i was holding.

Sir, please let me know that how faulty the system of a Credit Card Company can be that it takes them nearly more than 1.5 years to update their system on outstanding payment of their customer.

Needless to mention that I am regularly getting SMS & email alert on outstanding payment.

Kindly help me out in this matter at the earliest if possible on your part. Also I am filing a complaint in the consumer court of Guwahati.

2. Ek to Use Nahi Karta,
3. Hum ko Start se ab tak ka statement Bheje, Tabhi Payment Kar paoonga.
4. Bhartiyoon Ka Bank Kahlata Hai aur Unhi Ko lotta Hai,
5. Ek Baar lalbagh, Lko ki Branch me Check Dali Aap tak Pahoochi Nahi us per Charge alag lag Gaya Jab aapka admi check lene aaya, to uske naam per rs. 90/- katne laga.
6. Jab card bana tha to yearly charge kuch nahi bataya gaya tha. ab usme yaerly charge jur kar aa raha hai.
7. Card mai par kar dale de raha hoon. Pura Start se detail Bheje aur apna paise le kar hama hisab band kare.
