I have taken Home loan from DHFL ( Deewan Housing Finance ltd).
My EMI is around Rs 22500/-. The first MAR10 and APR10 EMI was to be cut from 1st to 10APR10.
DHFL cut MAR10 EMI on 10APR10 and the rest Rs 22500/- they didn't. So I thought that they will start doing it from MAY10. I was aware that I have 40k+ balance in my account. On 21APR10 I did some transaction to buy air tickets. The cheque however got bounced and after inquiring I came to know that DHFL cleared the EMI cheque on 24APR10. I had to face the travel agency and fine of around Rs 380/-.
Inquiring at DHFL gave me the reason that they deposited the cheque on 15APR10 and so this caused the problem and told me that I should have checked my balance before issuing any cheque. How come 15APR falls between 1st to 10APR10 is my question. And why did they deposited the cheque on 15APR10? Is it according to the law that they could deposit EMI cheque on any day? DHFL should have done this on 10APR10 itself along with MAR10 cheque.
I want reimbursement for the fine of Rs 380-

Anyways they may have been a very minor error on DHFL's part...You shud be ashamed this as an excuse ... This is not an excuse ... you shud have called the DHFL to enquire about why the cheque has not come to your bank rather than spending that amount ...idio...t.
