Easy Cab — Last minute cancellation

Hi,

I booked an Easy Cab on 18/08/2010 evening for catching a flight on the morning of 19/08/2010. The booking was confirmed and i was told that the Cab would reach my place at reporting time which was 7:30 in the morning. At 7:15 am on 19/08, i called up Easy Cab's customer care no. to ask where the Cab is and i haven't received any details related to driver, which generally comes about an hour earlier from the reporting time. The guy on the phone told me that due to some technical problem SMS has not reached me and the cab is on it's way and would be there in some time.

But around 7:40 am i received an SMS saying that due to non availablitiy of cabs my booking has been cancelled. You can think of the situation i was in, i called up the customer care again and the guy on the other side said they can't do anything.

This was seriously such a jolt to me, that how easy it is for these bogus organisations which talk so highly of customer service to ruin a persons plan. They have such a callous attitude about their customers that they don't even care what could be the repercussions of this on a person who might have or be in an emergency.

I would like to advice all future customers of these services to have a contingency plan because you can never trust these guys and they don't bother at all.
