On 18th Oct 2013, I had tried to book an Easy Cab in Mumbai . I had called them 45 minutes before I needed a pick up. The pick up was at Lower Parel at 11 45 pm. When I placed my call, I was informed that there is a taxi available and the taxi will reach me at the desired time. Following this, I got a text message with a booking ID at 10 59pm.
At 11 37pm (ie 7 minutes before my pick up time), I got the following message: Dear Customer, due to non-availability of the cabs in your area we cannot process your booking. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Hence, I called them thinking there was a mistake somewhere! How can a company go back on their word at the last minute? On calling them, they told me "we cannot confirm your cab when u book". Can Easy Cabs please explain the meaning of the phrase "booking a cab"??
I was stranded at Lower Parel for an additional half an hour.
I have absolutely no idea what kind of taxi service this is. I strongly believe that their licenses should be revoked as they are only here to dupe customers and leave them stranded.
When I called them back, I also realised that they have absolutely no customer redressing system! Their staff is incapable of handling customers, their systems are horrible (or actually I should say there are no systems at all!!) and they are absolutely non committed to their work!
I will not be booking an Easy Cab ever again! Neither will I be recommending them to anyone! The worst taxi service ever, some legal action needs to be taken against such a company! Was this information helpful? |
