Fitness First india Pvt Ltd Complaints - Cheating and duping the customer Cheating and harassment the customer Hi, This is to bring to your notice that I have been cheated by a fitness company i.e. Fitness First India Pvt Ltd(Delhi, CP Branch) which actually made so many false promises at the time of closing the sale but did not deliver at all and ended up in the most pathetic and worst service one can expect from an MNC chain. I became the founder member of the above mentioned Gym as I had gone there once for enquiring about their services, and after that their sales executives were after my life to join the club and offered me good amount of lucrative benefits and attractive discounts. Somehow as it was close to my office I made up my mind and was ready to sign up and the deal was closed by one of their sales executive who acted very sweet and humble at that point of time and took my registration by taking Rs app 5100/- as the total fees including the first month membership and admin fees and also took a commitment for 18 months which was part of their plan. Since end April I have trying to close cancel my membership (# 1005428), but was told that I was delinquent for the May month and refused to accept my cancellation, Post may attempts to close the relationship, I am willing to pay all the cancellations charges but they did not do so as they stated “the system does not allow it do so “ . Post this I have paid a freeze amount for the month of may, I have tried to close this today, this time I was told that the system is showing me as delinquent I have been duped and harassed fully by this fitness chain which is allowing me to end my relationship with them and was only interested in taking the memberships and collecting the money of different members.the same thing has been experienced by my other colleague also. Pls tell me what to do and want to teach them a lesson for totally misguiding customers and doing these kind of harassment and fraud. These kind of organizations are crooks and are only here for short term gains and actually can't manage the things properly. To date none of the above have been able to furnish any facts or instances that either substantiate their claims or aquisations on this forum. Nor has the moderator of this forum made any such attemts, but repeatedly ignore our communication stating that the above should be contacted directly.
We have made repeated attempts to contact all and have not received any response from either of the above or the others on this forum.
All clubs are functioning, serving happy members and also continuing to grow membership base.
For any clarification feel free to write to us in a organises, respectfull manner with a clear identify of the member if there is a member complaint.

I have been a member at Fitness First Connaught Place since October 2009. IMHO, I might have experienced some minor issues I read above, but most stuff written here seems to be all made up! I feel that despite their shortcomings, they are really doing a gr8 job! I get to travel a lot in my job, and I have experienced the service of some of the best clubs around the world as part of my corporate stays in those countries, but I always like coming back, and working out at the Fitness First Connaught Place club.
Even I would have to disagree with a lot of funny people here. I have been a Fitness First member at Eva Mall Bangalore since more than a year now, and I have already renewed my membership with them. Looks like most people in this forum are just taking out their personal grudges or agendas. And I do not believe 'John Again' even a bit. Based on the number of members and all the happy faces that I see in the club, I really don't see any reason why this club would be shutting down. However, I would request them to do bring in more types of group exercise classes like salsa, etc. which me and a lot of members enjoy.
I just came across this forum surfing the net. Thought I would share my experiece with Fitness First through this platform as well. I joined Fitness First Ambience Mall (Gurgaon) six months back and have had a pleasent experience working out there so far. Leaving aside some petty issues like non-availability of small towels at some times (especially during morning when I go for a workout before going to office), I have not seen members complaining to them about any other major issue. I myself have also not faced any big reason to complain about anything specific, and am overall happy with my membership with them.
I totally disagree with you guys, management at fitness first is made up of CHEATERS AND CROOKS. I have been to the club(fitness first c.p.) my self and found the management disgusting and always ready to make false promises. And above every thing mr. swapnil the club general manager is a total , he does not know how to talk to clients.
Guys skip fitness first they are all crooks handling the branch there. All people in the club like there consultants(sujeet and tripti) they can only make false promises and cant fullfill them.
In the begining i was also interested in joining the club and was ready to pay the fees as well, but every time i went to pay the fee, they came up with a new fee and a new excuse for the fee.
Then again they called me back and offered me to join the club without the joining fee, they told me that they will waive off the joining fee and all i need to pay is the admin fee and per month fee and when i went to pay the fee mr. swapnill came to explain me the programme himself and told me that i have to pay the joining fee but i can break it into 20 rs every day till the fee gets complete.
I tell u that they all can only make false promises.

I am a manager at Fitness First Bangalore. I would like to reiterate that we have absolutely no plans of closing down Fitness First at Eva Mall.
We have been doing well since the time we opened in Bangalore, and the last two months have only been better in terms of new members added. I have reason to believe that people like John / John Again are not only compulsive liars, but seem to be working for competitiors who may have to close shop in the next few months if we continue to do as well as we are currently doing.
For those of you who are skeptical about this, please feel free to walk in to our club on any given day and check out the service and the number of members working out in our club.
John, we wish you all the best and invite you to come and work out at Fitness First Eva Mall on a free 7 day VIP pass. This pass stays valid even after 15th April !

I am an employee at Fitness First Bangalore. I believe that this forum has now become a platform that is being used by our competitors, or people with personal agendas. Since the day we have opened, it has been our endeavour to give the best possible service to our members, and while some of you might have had issues, I still believe that Fitness First has been far ahead of anybody else in the fitness business.
I say this, not because I work here, but because I have spent more than 6 years in this industry. And nowhere have I been made to think more about the members, than at Fitness First.

Fitness First!! totally burst club... I don't know why they call its CLUB?
Such a nonsense place... I am an ex-customer of Fitness First Gurgaon club and leave the place 4 months back. For 6 months i was making payments through my credit card and these bloody are still deducting money from my card??
They are so insane and i believe they don't maintain their customer records?? When you raise your issue then they act very innocently and will give a promise of investigation which never ends!!
So, silly and strange people out there must say, same incident happened to one of my friend at their CP club.
Don't give them PAYMENT THROUGH CREDIT CARD. they can put you in deep trouble and trust me after that there is no way out to get your money back!.

Raj, Incase you have faced such an issue, we would request you to please e-mail us providing your Membership number, along with exact name on your Membership card, and your contact details, so that we could trace the issue faced by you, and take appropriate measures to resolve your concern within the parameters of the membership terms & conditions.
John, today is the 15th of April, and it will be just another working day for us at Fitness First Bangalore. We will also join more members today, and going by the way we are doing this month, April might probably be one of our best months in terms of new member added.

I joined fitness first recently they are cheaters they dupe their customers they keep on charging you even i[censored] dont use their services.I was operated for surgery in upper abdomen and informed Prashant Gautam their consultant about the same and asked him to adjust my membership.Despite of that they still charged me. for next month .Now i want cancel the membership they again want to levy a heavy charge on me.They charged me on my card without my knowledge ..pls suggest what can be done for them.
Asma, membership at Fitness First is based on a monthly commitment and not based on usage. We are sure that you would have read the membership agreement terms & conditions before signing up for the membership, like all members do. If you still have an issue, we would request you to please contact the Front of House Manager at the club during your next visit to the club or by calling the club at[protected] and asking for the Front of House Manager, so that we could take appropriate measures to resolve your concern within the parameters of the membership terms & conditions.
