Subject: Complaint against the deficient services and breach of promise
Dear Sir,
When I joined the Fitness First India Pvt Limited, Platinum Tower, 5th Floor, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon I was given a clear understanding and assurance
( by Mr. Alok) :-
1. That one Floor Trainer will be provided for every 20 members.
2. That I will be entitled for 30 International Passes, which can be used at any of the Fitness First Centers across the Globe.

BUT I REGRET TO NOTIFY THE FOLLOWING FACTS FOR YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION:-
That the Floor Trainer was not provided to our batch despite several verbal and written reminders/ complaints / protests to Ms. Rinki, Mr. Manish and
Mr. Alok. In fact it was Mr. Alok who gave me all the above assurances and he was specifically complained about non-availability of the Floor Trainer, at least 25 times.
Instead of providing the Floor Trainer, I was compelled to undergo Personal Training, thus, shelling out an extra Rs.9927/-(paid though your Receipt no. 6176 dt. 05/05/10) in addition to what I had already paid at the time of joining the Gym i.e. a sum of Rs.3254/- per month, being deducted through my RBS Credit Card. It was another shocking surprise for me when, even, my personal training sessions were left in between.
Recently I had a plan to go abroad. On my requesting for the International Passes, as promised at the time of joining. I was intimated that the passes could not be given as I was not entitled for the same. I have, therefore, been provided incorrect/ wrong/ incomplete information, by Mr. Alok, at the time of my joining the Gym.

In view of the above , I am left with no option but to discontinue my membership with the Fitness First, with immediate effect and without further notice.

You are here by called upon to instruct your concerned official’s to:-
1. Refund my unused amount of fees, charged for personal training, for the sessions not given to me.
2. To refrain, hence forth, from deducting any further monthly charges or any other charges etc., on any account whatsoever, from my RBS Credit Card. I am, simultaneously, sending the same information to my banker for necessary action at their end.

In case I don’t hear a word from you within 7 days of the receipt of this communication and / or any further charges are debited to my credit card I will be forced to proceed against you in the competent legal forum / court of law.

    BEWARE and don’t let Fitness First DELHI sell you any long term memberships! Realize that FF Delhi Club has limited long term members who have remained with them because of convenience owing to proximity; else, the club would definitely have ‘very’ limited long term members. They only seem Customer friendly to the new ‘hunts’, later, there overall manager Vikram Aditya Bhatia expects the Customers to follow his [disguised as FF’s] rules and regulations some of which are somewhat one sided. Many of FF Delhi members have repeated complaints about
    - Dirty towels
    - Damaged and often partially working beverage machines
    - Damaged exercise mats
    - Badly stinking exercise mats
    - Periodic breakdown in steam/sauna
    - Rude support staff
    - Smelling toilets and exercise rooms
    and Vikram Aditya Bhatia defends these complaints sighting the newness of the club. He cleverly also sights the number of customer’s he caters to and the limited resources he has. Vikram Aditya Bhatia FF Manager has portrayed the FF brand to come across as ‘2nd grade’ service provider in INDIA! Checkout reputed competing clubs first! Please beware and don’t buy into any of FF Delhi attractive long term plans!

      I joined fitness first recently they are cheaters they dupe their customers they keep on charging you even i[censored] dont use their services.I was operated for surgery in upper abdomen and informed Prashant Gautam their consultant about the same and asked him to adjust my membership.Despite of that they still charged me. for next month .Now i want cancel the membership they again want to levy a heavy charge on me.They charged me on my card without my knowledge ..pls suggest what can be done for them.

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        While taking membership, I was told that the club accepts only credit card payment. I did not have credit card. So they asked me to pay starting mnth fees thru debit card and said, that the membership will be pending till i dont provide credit card details. They have a policy to take carbon copy of the credit card. Due to this policy, none of my friend could give me their credit card. Now, on same day just after 2-3 hours I explained the reason that I am not getting credit card so please let me know another mode of payment. But they said, we accept only credit card. So I requested them to cancel the membership application and refund Rs. 5700/- (taken thru debit card) I paid. The sales person told me that since money was taken thru debit card so we cannot refund it. It has been more than a month I am trying to get money but now they say..its too late and we cannot refund. Even if, I have not used their Club for even a single day.

        Please suggest how can they be punished and how can I get my money back.

          Fitness First Connaught Place closed sona nd steam bath one moth back in mondat0wednesdat 6am-4 pm due to ndmc water shortage, but showers are open. Kindly tell me whether waters is used more in showers or in sona and steam bath.

          Further I was offered many discounts by the sales executives, but they are not bothered of crediting the same in my accounts, its almost 5 months since I joined.

            I refuse to pay the monthly dues charge by fitness first because I stopped going to fitness first since Dec. 2009 because the agent told me that after 4 months my contract is automatically cut off so I expect that they will not charge me in the folllowing months. Last Jan. I received my statement of accont from you and I was surprised that I had been charged by fitness first so I called up immediately about this matter but they have a lot of excuses. The issue is still unresolve until I receive my bill for the month of Feb. 2010 and they charged me again for the month of Feb. I called at your office to disregard the payment dues from fitness first but I'm so very dissapointed because I you still accept or paid fitness first. You should confirm me first before you charge me.

              I am Samir Whig , I am 06 months old member in fitness first working out in new Delhi connaught place branch , member ship no is 1010862 ,

              Today morning that is 8 th December 2009 after my workout I went to reception to change my card as your policy you take genuine cards and give us duplicate cards with towels , when I asked my original card ms NILOFAR ALI , who was in front desk asked me where is my used towel , I told her that I left that towel in the changing room as I forget to bring , she said go and bring back that towel from changing room , after listening this I was quite surprised and shocked as she told me go and bring your towel other wise I will not give your card back , I was totally insulted by listing this statement so I told her that you call your manager ,

              I stood there for good 12 – 15 minutes as Ms DEEPIKA DUGLANI came started shouting at me the way I even don’t shout at my servants and she told me that you have to bring your towel back , after listening these words from the manager I was again shocked and I told her that ok as you have insulted me so I will not come form tomorrow to your gym she said fine I am canceling your member ship immediately and I will not refund your single money ,then I asked her that can I know your seniors or your MD name and phone number she said I will not give you ,

              She was so rude that I cant explain you in words as she made a big scene in the reception and lot of members were standing there and she insulted me again and again and gestures which she made was that I am begging from her for any thing ,

              I go to many places as you can see my profile my money goes to you by AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD and I only come 7 -8 day s in a month and never talk to any person for any freezing or any discounts without knowing my profile she just shouted at me like I am working for her and after humiliation I told her that you can see my bag if you thing that towel is with me but how can you tell your client to go back and bring back towels from changing room .

              After your general manager Mr Swapnil sawant your general manager came in between and he is quite experience and I think he knows the duties of the general manager which I think ms DEEPIKA IS LACKING , he told me lets go inside and talk , that is the right approach of a manger , if manager will also start fighting then manager is not managing the show then she is spoiling the show because manger is called to settle things not to provoke more fights and make the scene more worst ,

              Ms deepika told me in front of mr sawant that I threw membership card on her and then she told me that there is camera recoding going on , but she forgot that camera is recording her also and if she really means that camera recording is going on then I request you to see all recording and call me there and see what a behavior your Manager ms deepika has got with clients ,and you can also see that her statement in front of general manager is all lies because I never throwed any card on any one

              This is my genuine feed back which I want to send to all branches of fitness first all over the world and India so if there is any person in fitness first world wide who is bother about the brand will talk to me in details about this

              I fully agree with you . Fitness First is most unprofessinal organization i have seen. They are freaking cheaters .

              I saw an add for trial of 7 days. else money refund. I availed that option, and later on due to my travelling plans, i could not even go for my trial and they charged my card saying u signed 10 months membership with us.

              I was so shocked to see my statement. i called fitnees first from Mumbai. and REsul they said they are cancelling my member shiip and hence forth i wont be charged. i told them so many times, i m not member i came for trial only and have not used your faclity for one single day.

              HOw can u .
              But as cheaters had their plan in place. ..
              I totally agree to you, i went to fitness first gym in C.p, for membership
              I met one sarthak sondhi who was one of staff working in the gym, He was such an he was rudely behaving First he told me you have to pay rs4000 per month, After that he changed his stance and told that ihave to pay for 4 months, i was ready to pay him but what is the professionalism in this gym they don't have any fixed format of price to show, he showed no professionalism and i did'nt join this gym although i live very close to this gym
              I am a member of Fitness First in CP and I applaud the actions of the Fitness First staff in this situation.

              The membership rules are clear. Return your used towels on your way out of the gym. 'I forgot' is not an excuse. Go upstairs to the locker room and retrieve your towel and turn it in. I am tired of damp, dirty towels lying around the men's locker room. Grow up people! Take some responsibility.

              People like the original poster seem to think they can ignore the rules. Well they can't.
              I also applaud the actions of the Fitness First staff. It is people's attitudes like that of Sameer Whig that is an embarrassment for our people. This blatant, lazy, preposterous attitude is disgusting where he thinks everyone else should bow to him. This is such ridiculous pomp from 'upper class' Delhites that is really just a display of their insecurity where they can't just be themself and treat everyone equally with respect. Your 'servants' should also be given more respect. They are you 'staff' more appropriate in this day and age. How do you expect our country to move forward when are voicing their opinions of self-importance? Start treating people respectfully and don't be a lazy git. You might just start an amazing change - not only in yourself, but those around you won't be so disgusted with your character as a person anymore.
              Good you told me, I was thinking of Joining fitness first, Now i will rethink on that, May be Gold's gym is better
              I agree with Samir and delhibelly - Mr Sameer Whig GROW UP and clean up after yourself. Next thing you know it, you'll be asking the Fitness First staff members to clean your (or maybe you are used to your 'servants' already doing that for you) *RUBBISH*
              I think what Sameer has written seems genuine. The staff has no right at all to shout at the customer. Even i dont appreciate the UPPER CLASS delhi attitude. but there should be customer importance in any way. Otherwise about the cleanliness of the gym, its again the responsibilities of the gym personal to maintain the cleanliness. They can advise their customers but in no was they should shout at them.

              TOWEL — DID NOT EXCHANGE MY TOWEL

              I BOUGHT A TOWEL FROM VISHAL MEGA MART SEC 14. NEC DAY DUE TO SOME REASONS I WENT THERE TO EXCHANGE IT THEY DIDNT TAKE IT THEY TOLD TO MEET TTHE MANAGER OF THE MEGA MART.. HE WAS SUCH A DOG THE WAY HE TALKED HE HAD NO SENSE TO TALK I COULDNT BELIVE HE WAS THE MANAGER OF VISHAL MEGA MART IN SEC 14 GUGRAON HE HAD NO SENSE HE SHOULD BE FIRED
              maa ki chut tumhari bhen ke lodo tumhari wajah se hi india ki ye haalat hai bhnchod ye sameer wigh jaiso ki wajah se poora india kude ka dher bna hua hai ye maader chod to apna bchaa bhi kisi or se paida krwayega saala kutte ka beej or ye jo do chaar gaandu uski baat pe agree hai inki bhi gaand maaro and one more thing evn i can also write in eng but i think for that type of guy this style of language was needed.

                I have membership of Fitness First (bangalore, eva mall). I had paid all the advance amount required during joing in Apr 09. However 04 May 09, Fitness First had charged Rs. 3254 again on my account. This was brought to the notice of Mr. Sayed who is the manager of the place and I was assured that the same shall not be repeated. However a transaction again was made on 01 Jun 09 and I when I raised my discontent I was told that I shall be breaching their contract. I am completely dissatisfied with their service and would like to withdraw my membership.


                Please advice.

                it's same thing happened in my account. i'm so angry about it. it took month and month 2 terminate the membership card. but the problem sill remain. better don't join it!
                Dear Sir/ Madam,

                I am writing to inform you that I am not happy with the increased fee that fitness first of Baker Street did.

                Firstly I have not received any letter about this subject. So they did without my agreement.
                I have reveived many emails from fitness first. However nothing about the increase.

                Secondly I just found out the increase when I needed to chande my bank details for personal reasons. I have called many times my home club. However the manager never was there and today when I called for the seventh time she picked it up, but refused to talk about the subject.

                I am very desapointed with that. Always I called and left my mobile number and name hoping that they would call me back to sort it out and nothing.

                I do not want to pay £68 monthly. I am definetly willing to cancell my contract and get another company if you do not change my fee to the previous one, which was £51.99.


                I would be very happy to hear from you. And I would apreciate if you do it in your first opportunity.

                  hi, im rehana khan i joined fitness first gym in month of fab 09.i issued them 18 cheques of 3315 rupees each as membership for every month... i stoped going 2 gym in the month of march...informed the staff dat i m not going 2 cum for the month of april..they took a penalty of 663 rupees n they told me dat they vil not send this cheque for clearance...but they sent it for clearance...when i asked them the reason they said they are really sorry for that i asked for refund then they said that they dont give refund they asked me to use the gym facility for one month instead of refund for the cheque which they cleared by mistake.. i didnot like their behaviour...now i don't want to go to this gym my last day in the gym was25/03/09...i informed the staff but they are sending my post dated cheques for clearence...they have taken fees till may...they refused to return my cheque...i instructed my bank to stop the payment for all remaining cheques...their staff is saying that i have to pay them for all 18 months whether i use their gym or not... please give me your suggestion soon

                    This is to bring to your notice that I have been cheated by a fitness company i.e. Fitness First India Pvt Ltd(Delhi, CP Branch) which actually made so many false promises at the time of closing the sale but did not deliver at all and ended up in the most pathetic and worst service one can...

                    this complaint is regarding mr.ANKUR ARORA general manager of fitfessfirst Bangalore (India). He CHEATED me and my friends and took our signature unkownly. He did not inform us about the terms and conditions of fitnessfirst club. He played with our innosence and when we come to know about their conditions we sent a written mail to mr. ANKUR ARORA and did not attend any of the session of fitnessfirst from the very first day of joining date. Inspite of sending mail regarding membership cancellation he didnot reply us and after two months he sent us a legal notice. When we went to the club he insulted us, didnot hear anything, threatened us that if we will not pay him he will take us to the court. Still he is giving us mental harassment. we are students and cannot afford to pay money when we did not used any facilities and do not want to use it in future. Plz help us to solve our problem.

                    I am a member of Fitness First n Germantown, Maryland also and tryng to get out of my contract for medical reason and these people are relentless. They mentioned that you can get out of your contract for medical reasons...maybe if you die first.
                    THEY ARE THIEVES AND DISHONEST!
                    if there is anyone considering fitnes first...DON'T DO IT!

                      Dear Sir/Madam
                      I’ve been member of Fitness First Holloway Branch since 2006 . From March 2007 I began my University course at evenings combine to my full-time day job , I found location of Holloway branch no longer convenient for me , because most of the time I had to spent at Central London . I brought this issue to discuss with Holloway branch Manager .
                      From beginning , I was willing to take over membership of FF Chancery Lane Branch from friend of mine , who was leaving UK for good . However , I’ve been told , that I can’t just take new membership without paying 1 month cancellation fee to my previous branch , which makes me to pay double money .
                      Week later , I came back to ask if I can change my membership to get access to every Fitness First branch . Unfortunately for me I couldn’t do it either , after more than hour of waiting on reception , nobody came to see me . In June 2007 I had to cancel my direct debit , because I couldn’t effort to pay monthly fee for service , which I’m not able to use . Besides , my one year contract with Fitness First was over .
                      After receiving numbers of text messages from Fitness First call service on my mobile regarding my membership fees , I contact them and ask to cancel my membership . I even agreed to pay amount of £ 34.95 , which is 1 month fee .I also explained , that I couldn’t do it immediately , because I was away from UK involved in my family heritage problems after my dad’s death . I thought , that problem was solved , and I can pay this amount after my return to UK .
                      But it seems that my telephone call meant nothing to Fitness First financial department , who put my case trough to Creditlink Account recovery Solution and almost doubled outstanding balance .
                      I think, FF should put more efforts not just to claim their money , but to treat their members . I experienced worst customer service ever .
