[Resolved]  Godrej Smart Care — Bad customer service. Charged for service but issue not resolved

I own a godrej fully automatic Washing machine.
I had logged a complaint bearing call# 885940.

During transit, the top panel of the machine was damaged and the washing drum used to slide down when clothes and water was added into it.
I called Godrej Smart Care and lodged a complaint. This was forwarded to United Home Care at Noida.

Initially a person visited my home and had a sight of the washing machine and also charged me Rs350/-. He promised I would be updated on the charges the next day and the machine would be service.
I had to literally follow up with the person visiting for 3 days to repair the machine. He then sent a cycle rickshaw fellow to pick my machine. There was no with him so I had literally load the machine on the rickshaw myself. It was 5 days past the machine was at service station. I had to again call up to find if the machine was ready. I did receive the machine on the same day. Again It was sent on a cycle rikshaw and I had to literally unload the machine myself. If I have to do the loading and unloading WHY DO YOU CHARGE ME CARRIAGE OF RS 250/-?

Now I checked the machine the same day and found that only the Top Panel was changed and it had a crack at one of the ends. The drum was tilting and still slipping down. So I immediately called up United Home Care at Noida and informed that the problem is still not solved. So he promised to send an engineer to my home for check up the next day i.e. 10th Feb ’09 at 7pm. The engineer did not turn-up at all. I tried calling United Home Care at Noida but nobody was answering the call. I have already paid Rs 2, 450/- for the above mentioned problem. Also from the bill it appears like an illiterate is writing the bills. Horrible spellings :
1. TOP PANEL is spelled as TOP PENAL ( I am being penalized) Rs 1, 850/-
2. There is some chemical charge. I want to know what these charges are as I am not sure of any chemical being put into my machine. Rs 350/-
3. CARRIAGE is spelled as Cartige. Rs 250/- . God knows if this machine was sent on Mercedes Benz for such high charge or the cycle rickshaw was of Mercedes Benz brand
4. DRAIN PIPE. I never asked for this pipe at all. Even then it was sent along with machine and I was billed Rs 120/- for it. I had to send it back.

Is this how you people manage customer care or infact mismanage? We trust company run showrooms for the purpose of quality of work. But looking at this I feel the local service provider would have done a better work at my own door step.

Godrej 1.5 ton split A/C — Not working

We purchased godrej 1.5 ton split a/c in the month of august 2008 Now it is not working . I have given repeated complaints but no body turned up.

please see to that our a/c is repaired immediately.

Godrej company — Not found services

Dear Sir,

we have buy four Goodrej Split AC 1.5 ton in 2007.

Some cooling problem in AC so i call many time to goodrej care but they could not giving response.


But now problem in AC compressor and it will replace by company they are not giving response.

I have mailed many time to goodrej care and called many time.


WE ARE FACING SAME PROBLEM DUE TO BAD SERVICES BY DOODREJ.

Godrej are always poor in after sales service. I am suffering from 2 months through hands of Godrej Smart Care. my Godrej Refrigerator which is not cooling. which is repaired two times by your untrended machanic. now sir if you are failed to do anything ( like a change the peace ) within 7 days, then i have go to consumar court.
godrej technicans and service is the worst service.
Let us start a campign not ti buy Godrej.

GODREJ-Washing Machine — Non resolving of customer complaint

My semi automatic washing machine is under AMC with the company.

I had logged a complaint for non functioning of the spin motor on dated:27.06.09 vide their service call no:440292 .Then after their person has attended twice but could not rectified it and he informed to send some senior technician to get the machine repaired.

But unfortunately after my several reminders also no body is attending the complaint.Due to monsoon days we are facing hell a problem due to such delay in the repairing.

Godrej — Godrej A/c stopped working after 15 days

I bought the Godrej A/c in may 2009 in Chennai, it worked only for 15 days. I called the customer care, but the response was very late and poor as per the "Godrej" said standards.
The 1st technician came after 15 days and told abount the problem of outdoor unit, pipe burst, then welding was done.
After that also the gas filling was not completed and the technician again took 15 more days to come and say that the Outdoor unit needs to be replaced.

Still wating and calling the customer care to take the outdoor unit and get the same replaced as its in warranty peroid. I am not sure when the replacement will take place.

I faced lot of problems due to the non working of A/c in Chennai, the money is gone with no gains...

I would say the worst product and India's most awful and disastrous Customer care, I recommend not to buy Godrej A/C.

I have lost the trust in Godrej, supposed to be the best Indian product company.

godrej washing machine&ac — servicing

sir i have purchase ur washing machine new model 29/07/08 but that machine is some problem iam called ur service centre they are booked complaint and say tecnician visit today evening but not visiting.
again meny more times called no proper responsible. same problem ac also.i have got a information when company have a two three complaints in your area then u get a service because ur area is extn area please take my washing machine and refund my money

Godrej — Bad Service from Godrej SMart Care

Dear Sir,

I would like to bring to your kind attention that Godrej Smart Care has been utmost incompetent in delievering the results that they so boost about. Our home refrigerator stopped working after its compressor stopped 2 weeks back, after having complaints 10 times, the executive showed only to return the next day where he did change the compressor but which really didnt solve the problem, our fridge was still not working and after having made numerous calls to them they did finally show up today only to add on to our problems. our refrigeratoe is still not working. i think this is the most pathetic way of dealing with the customers and it has caused us tremendous amount of emotional distress, the way their executive speak from their helpdesk is also very demeaning. this is most pathetic way and i wish u could help us take corrective measures against a company that boosts of being customer friendly. i think f they cant handle a simple customer complaint they should consider shutting the shop.

In kannada.. i can say " thu thu.." i made a mistake hosting in manashosting.. do't go for manashosting.. Nothing is good in that.. above some people are saying that its a good one.. i know about them they r from that company only.. Still im in trouble with my sit.. but they r not fixing it..
I bought a Godrej Window A/C last year. I called customer care for the service of A/C on 09/08/2009 and they gave me the complain number 216307, also they told me that the engineer will visit within 24 hours and today is 02/09/2009. Till today nobody has visited my house for the service of A/C. I have called customer care so many times during this time and they always say that we will forward the complaint, but its of no use and the complaint is still pending.

GODREJ AC — Serviceman is not coming after several requests

I had bought a godrej ac 1.6ton in last summer. After one year a service man from company should come to do the ac service. When the person did not come i called up the customer care to book a complaint. The customer care executive noted down my complaint and said that a person will give me a visit in next 2 days. But even after 2 days noone came. Since then, we have booked several complaints through customer care and everytime the customer care executive tells the same thing, i.e., the person will visit today. Till date noone has come for the servicing. I am completely fed up with such bad service and lieing customer care executives.
Please take a note of the complaint and act accordingly. Or please suggest what should i do in this case.

Sub: Complaint in respect of post-sales services, harassment caused &
Demanding clarifications under Right to Information Act 2005.

Sir,
I have the honour to draw your due attention to the followings:
i) On the 8th August 200, my Micro Oven, capacity 30 Lts., Model GMC 32B, Cabinet No. 6138243, collected by Siliguri based service provider, Electro Services and the reasons for collection as mentioned ‘Turn Table Motor not working’;
ii) The said service provider verbally assured that said micro oven would be delivered after servicing on the 10th morning of August 2009;
iii) Providing space and communicating 4 times over telephone, when I turn up for the collection of said micro oven, I was reported that the said oven had yet not been inspected;
iv) Being annoyed with the dealing of the Siliguri based service provider, I booked my complaint over telephone and my service call no 682341 (dt. 9.9.2009). On 21st September 2009 one service mechanic attended my house and collected the ‘turn motor’ for replacement. On the next day, the said service mechanic turned up with a ‘reconditioned turn motor’ for replacement; and
v) I demanded company sealed pack product with printed MRP for replacement. The said mechanic refused to fulfill either of my demand and finally, left without making my oven working.
Under the above circumstances, I desire to know under Right to Information Act 2005 the followings;
i) What is your usual practice for providing post sales services;
ii) Why a genuine customers are being harassed by your notified service provider;
iii) How long should I have to wait for availing myself of your paid post-sales paid services;
iv) On what grounds, I should not proceed to competent legal authority for the refusal of timely post sales services and the harassment caused by your notified service provider.

The matter should be treated extremely urgent.

Godrej — Worst Product & Service

I bought Godrej Pentacool Fridge on 23.01.05. It started giving cooling problem within a month so I complained & got it replced from com. That too after complaining to consumer court.
After that almost every year it gave lot of problem like cooling issue, gas etc. As we had extended warranty contract with Godrej it doesnt cost me except mental harassment.
This time in Apr 09 & June 09 it started colling problem, When I complained in June 09, it took almost a month to replace compressor.
Now in Sep 09 again same problem started so I comlained on 16.09.09 & after 10 days comressor got changed. But after an hour it stopped working. Engineer who came for repairing told that again compressor gone. Now I am frustrated with the quality of accessories used by company which doesnt work properly and alos with the worst service of company as it again took more than 15 days to resolve issue & complaint is still not fully resoved.

I wanted to buy new fridge on 28.09.09 (Dussehra) but due to poor service by the company I was unable to do that. Dealer from whom I wanted to buy fridge was ready to give exchange offer and price of my working fridge Rs.3500 however, now I couldnt get it as my fridge stopped functioning and company not able to repair it within time. Its still in non-working condition then how could I get good price of my fridge in exchange???

Dear sir,

I am very sorry to inforrm you that I am an unfortunate customer of your refrigerator Pentacool 200 ltrs... ! have purchased it from M/s Goodmorning Enterprises, Alleppey, Kerala on 18/08/07 believing in your much proclaimed '10 Year warranty'. Pathetically the piece started showing rusting withing 2 years. The matter was reported vide service call 790193 dated 12/10/09 and your service personnel (M/s Devi services, Pazhaveedu, Alleppey) visited accordingly. But sorry to say.. .till date no progress and the problem is not yet solved ( it is going to be 2 months!!!).

At this situation I am compelled to approach some appropriate authority like Consumer Court for justice if my problem is not solved as early as possible from this date, for withdrawal of the substandard item and payment of suitable damages charges.

I hope your firm and speedy action in this regard may help both the parties in solving the issue and avoid legal complications.

I left a complaint(complaint no. 384967) regarding cooling problem in our refrigerator. Then regarding this service men came on 10.12.2009 and checked. He said that the compressor has to be replaced. Since it was within the warranty period, he said they will replace in free of cost. But for filling gas, changing E.O.P and service charge he charged 750, 650 and 250 respectively.The eop (energy optimising product) was charged Rs 650 but the MRP is Rs. 528, why such difference in price.

The service men who came, collected the full amount in advance and he said that the service people will come today(12.12.2009) to replace the compressor. But no one has come till now(3.20 pm).

So, Please take a note of this issue.

I am facing the same problem. the only difference is that i am in delhi and the Service Centre people took my Ac but have yet to return it. it is almost over 2 weeks now since they have taken it. I was wondering if there is anything more concrete that can be done to ensure results if at all
i purchased a 420 lit.pentacool in 2003.In 2006 we had to change the compressor.The new compressor installed was big in size and hence the original water collecting tray could not be fixed. Even after numerous phone calls to SmartCare, the problem was not solved.For the last 4 years I have lived with a puddle of water around the fridge.Now in Dec 2009 I noticed that the fridge was not cooling properly.I called Smart care. The technician came and announced that there is a blockage in the compressor pipe and so it needs to be cleaned. For this the gas had to be first removed and then refilled in the compressor.Since there was no choice we agreed for the process.
This did not solve my problem.So the same technician came again and NOW HE SAID that some pipe had choked.So he opened up the fridge and cleaned the pipe.My problem was still not solved.The third time another technician came and he diagnosed that the thermacool in the freezer had soaked water and that was causing all the problem.So he changed the same.
Now after spending 4000/- I still do not know whether this fridge will work or not.
Eversince its purchase I have faced more problems than any comfort.
