[Resolved]  Godrej Smart Care — Bad customer service. Charged for service but issue not resolved

I own a godrej fully automatic Washing machine.
I had logged a complaint bearing call# 885940.

During transit, the top panel of the machine was damaged and the washing drum used to slide down when clothes and water was added into it.
I called Godrej Smart Care and lodged a complaint. This was forwarded to United Home Care at Noida.

Initially a person visited my home and had a sight of the washing machine and also charged me Rs350/-. He promised I would be updated on the charges the next day and the machine would be service.
I had to literally follow up with the person visiting for 3 days to repair the machine. He then sent a cycle rickshaw fellow to pick my machine. There was no with him so I had literally load the machine on the rickshaw myself. It was 5 days past the machine was at service station. I had to again call up to find if the machine was ready. I did receive the machine on the same day. Again It was sent on a cycle rikshaw and I had to literally unload the machine myself. If I have to do the loading and unloading WHY DO YOU CHARGE ME CARRIAGE OF RS 250/-?

Now I checked the machine the same day and found that only the Top Panel was changed and it had a crack at one of the ends. The drum was tilting and still slipping down. So I immediately called up United Home Care at Noida and informed that the problem is still not solved. So he promised to send an engineer to my home for check up the next day i.e. 10th Feb ’09 at 7pm. The engineer did not turn-up at all. I tried calling United Home Care at Noida but nobody was answering the call. I have already paid Rs 2, 450/- for the above mentioned problem. Also from the bill it appears like an illiterate is writing the bills. Horrible spellings :
1. TOP PANEL is spelled as TOP PENAL ( I am being penalized) Rs 1, 850/-
2. There is some chemical charge. I want to know what these charges are as I am not sure of any chemical being put into my machine. Rs 350/-
3. CARRIAGE is spelled as Cartige. Rs 250/- . God knows if this machine was sent on Mercedes Benz for such high charge or the cycle rickshaw was of Mercedes Benz brand
4. DRAIN PIPE. I never asked for this pipe at all. Even then it was sent along with machine and I was billed Rs 120/- for it. I had to send it back.

Is this how you people manage customer care or infact mismanage? We trust company run showrooms for the purpose of quality of work. But looking at this I feel the local service provider would have done a better work at my own door step.

Godrej Refrigerator — Service not done but charged

A 300ltr Godrej refrigerator at my in-laws place had a break-down; this was well outside warranty period. Godrej Smart Care was promptly called. An Engineer promptly came, took 250 s service fee without any repair done. He insisted on this collection stating that without the 250, the case would not proceed at all and that it was a company rule and that the repair would be closed 7 days; receipt was also given. That was the last time we saw him. Godrej used to call every other day asking if the problem is fixed; family tells that nobody came back for the repair and how did they expect it to get alright with nothing being done. They said that the delay was in procuring a spare part although the call center did not have any idea of what part it was. After 22 days of no action from Godrej, we called a private repairer who got the same Godrej spare part within half-an-hour of his inspection and the refrigerator was ready in no time. Meanwhile calls from Godrej continue and Godrej closes the case after 30 days stating that the SLA maximum is reached and the case cannot proceed further.
We wrote to Godrej about this with case ID although knowing fully well that nobody or nothing would ever respond. I think it is wise to spread this wprd around about their Customer care where there is nothing smart in Godrej Smart Care. FYI - the name of the third party service provider who did not close the service request is M/S Supra Engineering, Mumbai.
This is to add that Godrej called up just now and apologized and assured that this would be taken care of.
They charge Rs250 without even openong the back and testing for voltage and ohms.They don't check the timer or bimetal or thermoastat.they talk well and simply zero down upon compressor and the motor and go away without practically opeing the thermocol to see the parts and test them by statanard procedure this a loot by Godrej service franchisees.
I have had a very bitter taste of the post sales service of Godrej . It seems that they do care about he customer, but only till they they receive full paymentr from him.

GODREJ AC — Wrong Product sold

I purchased an AC from Sargam Electronics from Majlis Park Showroom. NO response from Showroom Owner and Rohini Head Office, Simran at HO very rude and disconnected phone, no email ID on website to lodge complaints, they are making fools of customers
your servise is not good after sales. I purchese the a/c of 1.5 ton dated[protected]. This time my A/C is not cooling properly. I sent a mail dated[protected]. but no bady contect to me.

Godrej / top load washing machine — Service call not yet attended for 1 week.

my topload washing machine does not working properly, process is not completing fully, when ever i called customer care they commit me service engineer will come today, but till now it has not resolved, how many days the cloths be in the washing machine, im totally dissatisfied about the service.

Godrej — Bad customer service

I had purchased a Godrej washing machine from Pai International in Bangalore.The washing machine from the beginning had problems as there was no hot water coming in it.The executives came thrice and could not rectify the problem, one fine day an executive called and told us that they would take the washing machine to their service station in diary circle as they want to repair and keep it under some observation. The day they took they promised that they will return in 2-3 days..After 3 days the service center guys started saying that a part has to be replaced which is in the transit and will take take a week more..waited a week more and a new story this time saying now that the wiring has a problem and have to replace it . This time these excuses were from the Deputy manager Sushil kumar (Bangalore office).Me and my mom spoke to sushil kumar, irfan, lavanya, mohan, vinod ,raju kiran and many more.every time some one calls and gives different reasons.Finally a day came that they are returning our old machine without rectifying the problem and would replace with a new machine in a week after they get sanction letter from the company. I told them to give a new machine once for all as i didn''t want to take my old machine back as i was worried that they might have replaced some parts of the machine..and they might blame us if anything is missing...Basically i told them to just replace a new one and i didn''t want any standby machine for that sake...Sushil kumar has promised a new machine by[protected] , will wait till then..I don''t know the number of calls i have done to these people. I''m not satisfied with these GODREJ customer service guys...I would wait until the promised time and would approach legally.. I would like a replacement from the company.,.As simple as that.. As my cousin is a lawyer, he suggested ,me to approach the consumer court..Will wait till[protected] for replacement and later I''m planning to slap a notice against the GODREJ company..I shall provide all the call list and other receipts and i have recorded some conversations too...

Smart — services about load

I am registered to unlimited 60 for 5 days but the problem is I have an insufficient balance though I have an extra..whats the problems...I tried calling at smart but it is hard to contact them.

home Care Solution — Service of AC not done as promised

Home Care Solution, Mr Shukla ; Mobile number [protected] is listed with Zat Se for AC service. But Mr shukla is not meeting commitment of service. I took some numbers of AC service persons from Zat se. The name of Mr shukla was given by Zat Se on 17-4-11, at 10 Am, Mr shukla promised me that he will send his mechanic at 11 am on 8-5-2011, Sunday & get my 2 AC’s serviced. I confirmed in the morning of 8-5-11 and Mr shukla told me that he will get my ac serviced today at 12-00. But nobody came. When I called Mr shukla at 12.30 pm. He told me that he will come in 30 min. At 14.25, he cut my mobile call and later did not pick up call. I could not my AC’s serviced on 2 Sundays 1-5-11 & 8-5-1 since I was deceived by Home Care Solution, Mr Shukla. All future clients of Mr shukla, please note. Zat se is requested not to give the number of Mr Shukla to anybody since Mr shukla does not keep his commitment & causes unusal harassment of customers.

I regret very much to inform your company that unfortunately I purchased a Godrej One Ton split A.C. from Vasanth and Co Tambaram on 28/12/2010.From the time of Installation the A.C. is not working properly.

First of all at the time of installation Technician told us that there was no Gas.

And afterwards the compressor was leaking.
However, they brought a new compressor and installed it .But after some time water was dripping from the AC Plant.
Then Afterwards the AC plant did not work at all. After several complaints to care centre Mr.Rahul came and changed a plate in the AC Plant. But again the compressor failed to work.

At present we are having the following complaints:
1. Water Leaking.
2. Compressor not working.
3. Burning smell coming from the plant when switched on.

Because of the malfunctioning of the AC Plant my whole family is very much upset and they are uncomfortable. BECAUSE OF THIS I AM IN SEVERE MENTAL AGONY FOR THE PAST 8 MONTHS.

I still hope that GODREJ being a good company will rectify the fault.
If not, I request you to supply a new AC plant and do not force us to go ahead to the CONSUMERS COURT.

Sir, I have purchesed a spilt ac on 9th April 2011., but a later I found that it was defective. I have complained twice custmer service centre and got complaint numbers 374928 and 375117 restectively. The area service manager Mr. Manas visited my house and assured me prompt action. But whenever I call him, he tells me that he has recommended for the replacement of the unit due to non-availability of parts but it is almost two months that I am waiting for the mercy of the company.Today when I called Mr. Manas, he asked a period of one more week. It seems that the company has a plan to replace it during the offseason otherwise what is the problem of replacement.
So I want to know from you side that why are you delaying to provide service to the
custmer who has paid the money for the service.

several calling in costumer care they give me service center no & mechanic no. then I called their. No one proper treat me.so i had informed your service person immediately about that problem they will come at my address and solve that problem but even after within 2 or 3 hours same problem in refrigrator. i have called him but i have not got any type of responce from his side but your service person has told me that it will start working correctly within 4 to 5 hours.
Now, i lodge third time complaint.godrejservise center they give me complaen no .after 3or 4 day i ask him about my complain nobody can answer me.one of his (pro) mr navinHarshal tell me every time that ..kal dhiky ho jayegi...but today no one responce me...what can i do i cant understand. my Godrej Refrigerator which is not cooling. which is repaired two times by your untrended machanic.

Sir, Since the date iI puchased this defective product even after making several complain no action has been taken. I have following complain of this product and need your kind attention for immediate soultion in this.
A- After the delivery no one came to make a demonstraion of product. I found the scratch on the door of freezer and the lock of the fridge broken.When I went to the showroom the gentleman there took my complain and assured me that the technician will come to my place within two days and do the needful. After waiting again for two days no one came up and when i made a call again I was told the technician will come within 24 hours, from than every time upon call a expert is coming and just taking the complain and promising me that within two days the problem will be solved and like this now almost 35 days passed and no one has done any thing except noting down the defect and giving false promises. I would be highly appreciate if you kindly look in to this serious matter where the customer service people are just taking the complain for a grant without looking to the customer satisfaction.
