[Resolved]  Godrej Smart Care — Bad customer service. Charged for service but issue not resolved

I own a godrej fully automatic Washing machine.
I had logged a complaint bearing call# 885940.

During transit, the top panel of the machine was damaged and the washing drum used to slide down when clothes and water was added into it.
I called Godrej Smart Care and lodged a complaint. This was forwarded to United Home Care at Noida.

Initially a person visited my home and had a sight of the washing machine and also charged me Rs350/-. He promised I would be updated on the charges the next day and the machine would be service.
I had to literally follow up with the person visiting for 3 days to repair the machine. He then sent a cycle rickshaw fellow to pick my machine. There was no with him so I had literally load the machine on the rickshaw myself. It was 5 days past the machine was at service station. I had to again call up to find if the machine was ready. I did receive the machine on the same day. Again It was sent on a cycle rikshaw and I had to literally unload the machine myself. If I have to do the loading and unloading WHY DO YOU CHARGE ME CARRIAGE OF RS 250/-?

Now I checked the machine the same day and found that only the Top Panel was changed and it had a crack at one of the ends. The drum was tilting and still slipping down. So I immediately called up United Home Care at Noida and informed that the problem is still not solved. So he promised to send an engineer to my home for check up the next day i.e. 10th Feb ’09 at 7pm. The engineer did not turn-up at all. I tried calling United Home Care at Noida but nobody was answering the call. I have already paid Rs 2, 450/- for the above mentioned problem. Also from the bill it appears like an illiterate is writing the bills. Horrible spellings :
1. TOP PANEL is spelled as TOP PENAL ( I am being penalized) Rs 1, 850/-
2. There is some chemical charge. I want to know what these charges are as I am not sure of any chemical being put into my machine. Rs 350/-
3. CARRIAGE is spelled as Cartige. Rs 250/- . God knows if this machine was sent on Mercedes Benz for such high charge or the cycle rickshaw was of Mercedes Benz brand
4. DRAIN PIPE. I never asked for this pipe at all. Even then it was sent along with machine and I was billed Rs 120/- for it. I had to send it back.

Is this how you people manage customer care or infact mismanage? We trust company run showrooms for the purpose of quality of work. But looking at this I feel the local service provider would have done a better work at my own door step.

I had pUrchased a refrigerator on dated[protected] wide invoice numb.38861 from trishul agencies 1, New Market GUrdwara road JwalapUr Haridwar.after pUrchasing Ur product i had seen many kind of problem with Ur product and services . I found a problem in refrigerator compressor not working and i also com plated many times as a following.

1st 19 nov Ur service boys is said there are no gas in compressor .

2nd 20 nov on Sunday the service man camed then checked & said that the compressor is defected and they were go and come back on 20 nov again with a secondary compressor .

3rd There was some sound problem in back side of refrigerator i am not satisfied with Ur services .

4th 24 th nov i again complaint for the same sound problem but Ur service boy is not been able to make me satisfied my complaint no is [protected] .Ur customer care executive said the problem is in Ur refrigerator .

5th 28 nov i com plated again fr that but there is no response from Ur side .my complaint numb is [protected] .



I am going to consumer CoUrt For this MisbehavioUr from Side So kindly solve my problem As early aUr Change my reff.

as per The terms and conditions company should give Three free servicing wiThin its guarantee period
two services are done That was dry services. service engineer came to my house for servicing That time i was very surprised to see how he carried out The service because he took The glass of water and cleaned condenser coil wiTh The help of tooThbrush instead of proper cleaning brush secondly he cleaned The filter and ran away now i havee given The Third cal for The wet servicing on dated 17Th march 2012 but till date no one had come to attend my call.several times i havee contacted to The call centre as well as service centre and service engineer but no response except reply That technician will come soon
i am really surprised due to such a Thing happened wiTh me from The company like godrej. I hope company will take necessary action against The concerned person and in future will take care of The valuable customers.

the service and appliances of Godrej Boyce Ltd are really worst. I had bought steam microwave in yr 2010, it was out of order within few months and even after complaint, no body turned up from company for repair

services and appliances of Godrej are very poor. Now the company is selling its products on its name and fame earned during past. The company should think how far they may survive.
the buyer of Godrej product is really very unfortunate. He neither gets good product nor good service after sales. Infact buying a Godrej product is like making a hole in consumer(buyer's) own pocket.

Dear Sir,
Have you ever seen all the above complaints solved and satisfied the customers. Pl do not boast of your Company's name. A very poor management and service to the customers. Pl see your complaints box and its results. You do not show the nature of complaints but put the satisfactory letters of the customers so that other can go for your make to purchase.I since five years writing you to solve my problem but only service engineer visit and take away fees without any further guarantee.

I purchased one 1.5 T Godrej split AC just 3 years back.. But there is cooling problems, no technical person is assisting me to diagnose and solve. Their service agents are not always to give a cost effective solution. Any way recently I lodged complaint to your tollfree no[protected] for cooling problem by complain no. [protected] then after some days your service representative came and goback by taking my outer machine to their workshop.
Our place is very hot in summer, but by several phones to your representative Mr. Biren came and fix the outer machine and told me “your AC is now OK you have to pay Rs.2000/- towards gas charge”. Then I paid Rs. 2000/- and after one day the same problem arises and again I complaint to your tollfree no. and your service inchage Mr. Sanjaya Das several times and also sent a mail to [protected]@godrej.com but there is no response till today and almost summer season passed.
By such unfair trade practice and deficiency in service by you and your service deler Himalayan refregaration at Angul (Odisha) as well as service incharge Mr. Sanjaya Das, I sustained a lot of harassment, mental pain and agony.

I am regular consumer of Voltas air conditioners since last 5 yrs.. But first time on 27//5/12, Godrej AC was purchased by me because your dealer's convence me to purchase Goderj AC, because of its good performance.
But I am sorry to write you that your AC is not cooling from last 3 days. I complained about the same on the customer car no. on 25/6/12.But the concerning people are not taking proper interest about the matter. So, I am feeling guilty to purchase GODREJ AC.

Pls do not buy Godrej Products... If every u buy any godrej appliances don't opt for their contracts scheme... It is useless... Godrej services are the worst Service provider.I have giving complain many times but they do not gives us proper services...
We have taken 3yrs contract but they hve provided services only once and they don't have proper equipments for cleaning the appliances...
Will never buy Godrej appliances anytime in my entire life...

we purchased a econ model Double door Fridge in 2010.it had developed problem for the past 10 days. we gave complaints and no one is bothered to resolve it in their Customer centre.

here is the copy of complaint to them.

we raised a Complaint 10 days back regarding Fridge not working. Complaint no C [protected] this is first one on 23rd. on 25th Service technician came again and told us to change the Timer, got it changed same day .paid Rs375//= and Rs900 towards timer. next onwards fridge slowly lost its cooling effect. we were Trying desperately the Technician who attended no several times and failed.again we gave a complaint . No is C[protected]. we made several attempts to contact your Service center and no one bothered to come and repair

All our Milk/Vegetables got spoiled. no service till date.

I request you to take up the matter immediately with your Chennai Office and solve Our Problem before this Evening.

I will be forced to take up this matter with your Higher ups, if not solved immediately.

I requested for washing machine (semi automatic) service of drain button not working as well as broken. The service technician came and told me about the spare not available now, and it will take more than a weak from the request mail as to send to our head office about the spare. Please do the needful. Now I pay the service charge of Rs. 275/- .BILL NO. 275 dated in 27/4/2013. Your service people done a alternative rope provision now, please arrange the spares to solve my problem.

I Tried to again lodge complain on 7.5.2013 (D[protected]).Now comes service agent and says that refrigerator has not GAS in GAS PIPE (MANUFACTORY FOULT)and after filled GAS. but referigerator useless to earliar condition.and then customer care excutive talk to me abusing & rude language. many engineers visited at my home but they were unable to solve the problem it is a manufacturing fault
please change my refrigerator as soon as possible or

I bought a 230-lit frost-free refrigerator in January 2010 directly from Godrej and put the equipment under Godrej AMC for 5 yrs ending in 2015. As per the service contract, the company is to provide one mandatory checking/servicing each year, but I am not getting any such mandatory servicing.
