[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Bank Credit Card — Club Leisure is cheating HDFC credit card customers

I received a call from Club Leisure (displaying some Delhi number) and person introduced by saying that he is calling on behalf of HDFC Bank and would like to offer me a new HDFC credit card with unlimited credit limit. Apparently, the person already knew that my CC ([protected]) is going to expire soon. This is evident that the person has been given my contact number and my credit card details. He offered some free gifts along with the new renewed card. I, assuming the Diwali time, thought the gifts are being offered from HDFC (I have already received a couple of gifts from HDFC in the past for being a loyal customer). I was informed that I would be connected to an IVRS from HDFC bank and that I need to enter my card's expiry date. When I doubted that I may not be connected to the HDFC IVRS, I was informed that I would get a message from HDFC after I verify myself. Sometime later, I again got call from them and this time asking to verify my address to dispatch my free gifts.

When I did not receive any message from HDFC for 15-20 mins, I called up the customer care to find out that they have made a transaction of Rs.5509 through my credit card. I was also informed by your executive that HDFC does not have any tie up with Club Leisure Company. I requested the executive to immediately block my card and to stop payment to Club Leisure which I found to be a fraud company through the internet. Google lists down all the fraud cases against this company when searched by its name. Most of these cases are with HDFC bank customer/credit card holder. Upon further investigation, I found out that Club Leisure’s modus operandi is to call up the credit card customers and to offer them attractive gifts. I hope this fraud transaction is reverted and my card has been blocked on the same day.
This is also evident that someone internal to HDFC must be leaking /sharing customer database to such companies for a meagre amount.

I received a gift from this company which was apparently left at my office reception. On 18th Dec, I received my statement for November. The same mentioned about this transaction and that I have to pay by 3rd January 2011. I called up HDFC Bank on 21st December to inform that I want to return the gift as it is not a free gift but a forced shopping. I was informed that I don't have to make the payment for now. However, if it is found that I had made this transaction, then I will have to pay finance charges and late payment fee. (Reference # [protected])

HDFC BANK TIE WITH HDFC CREDIT CARD DIVISION — BLOCKING MY SALARY

respected sir,
with due respect i want to state that i am kallol das i'm having an Company's salary account in HDFC bank. previously there was dispute with my HDFC credit card bills which i stoped making payment lately and with the late payments charges and service taxes it has reached around 51000 in 7to 8 months. but from the last 8months i'm regularly able to acess my account and make transections. problem arises when i got 48000 from my company last week. now they have blocked my salary and incentives. just curious to know whether a bank can do this or not? means it was my company salary account and how come on the basis of credit card the bank blocked my salary? can i do something regarding it plz advise and help

HDFC Bank — Cheated by Credit Card

Dear Sir,
I had a credit card with HDFC bearing the card number [protected], from past 7 seven months i stopped paying the due amount due to my job lost, i have used only Rs. 7500/- and till date the amount of interest has been shown as Rs. 27250/- and last month i deposited cash for my personal loan and two wheeler loan a amount of Rs. 7450/- same has been holded by credit card people and withdrawn the money without informing me. After that i came to know that the amount has been withdrawn, i was calling to customer support and their manager Neethu Sharma for assistance. On 27th Mar by name Aramugam called and said there is a total due of Rs.17000/- and i have requested him that my PF amount is going to credit at any moment and requested him that i will go for settlement. Even he has told that the settlement can be given for Rs.9000/- and he said he will call me on 28th mar for confirmation, i waited for his call but no body turned up calling me. I was following up with his manager Neethu Sharma daily twenty times always she will disconnect my call and if she takes call also she will keep me on hold for some time and disconnect the call. Finally my PF amount arrived to bank and the total due amount got holded. When i called to customer support they informed that they will arrange for a call back, but no boby called for long time, and finally two days back some body called and arragned for a meeting personally i went and spoke with Aramugam, he says the amount has been holded and after 15 days of the hold date the amount will be debited, and still for this month there is a due of Rs. 405/- and he is asking to pay the same and get the NOC, i just walked out from there with no help. These two guys Neethu Sharma and Aramugam played with me giving the wrong information and on the same day when Aramugam called he would have given the settlement option, but never he bothered a customer. And now my PF amount has credited they are saying its not possible. Both of them played nicely and cheated me very badly. Kindly help me on this.

I have written to hell number of people in HDFC, but none of them helped me with correct response. You guys are very clever, if we raise a complaint to safe guard that you guys will reply from consumer complaints section and ask us to contcat so and so, but that so and so guys are useless guys having no curtosy towards customers...
