[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Bank (Saving A/C) — Demanding of ID Proof by hdfc (Agra Sanjay Palce Branch) at the time of withdrawing of Cash via Self Cheque from non base branch

Complete Inline text mail attachment:

Problem: Agra Sanjay Place Branch is demanding self id proof copy at the time of withdrawing of cash via self cheque - bcoz of non base branch. I myself is withdrawing cash, why my id proof copy required?
However as per my knowledge of hdfc banking norms and guidelines / Negotiable Instrument Act / RBI Norms there is no such Circular in this regard - "id proof mandatory for self withdrawl via cheque from anywhere banking". If available kindly provide me the copy of the same.

Dear Sir,
Thanx for your prompt reply...

However as per my knowledge of hdfc banking norms and guidelines / Negotiable Instrument Act / RBI Norms there is no such Circular in this regard - "id proof mandatory for self withdrawl via cheque from anywhere banking". If available kindly provide me the copy of the same.

Further only Agra Sanjay Place is institing for ID Proof, no other branch in U.P. & Delhi is asking for the same as we are having 176 S.Bank A/c in hdfc bank.
Further no other Bank is following this procedure.

Kindly provide clarification and copy of the Circular.

thanx nd rgds

Dear Mr. Pal,

Thank you for your patience and co-operation.

We understand that our branch official Mr. Nirmal singh has contacted you regarding Cash withdrawal.

As per process if the customer personally visit the bank than upto 1 lakh cash withdrawal no id proof required. If the bearer comes for cash withdrawal than id proof required.

This HDFC bank is chunk they are nonsense. There is really no RBI norms. As such. Today I went for cast withdrawal to HDFC bank and they told they will charge 3 rupee for 1000 rupee withdrawal. Being a beneficiary why they should charge me? Is there any RBI norm or its banks money making policy. These banks are already started charging lot things for each services they are providing. Why Mr. Modi is asking for opening Bank account. I would prefer to keep cash if I have to face such a pain in . I would recommend go to ICICI bank they are better service provider than HDFC.
