[Resolved]  HDFC Bank Bank - SB Account — HDFC asked me to close my account unless I take their SIB/Loan/Pension Plan

Hi!

The issue started when I applied for a new Debit Card as the one I am having is too old.

The card had reached my home branch at Charmwood Village and they called me to collect the card.

Once I went there, the bank official asked me to join their SIP/Pension Plan or take any bank loan or else I need to close my bank account on the spot.

I have registered a complaint with their telebanking but turned out to be useless as even after the promised 7 days no feedback yet.

The brach employee harrassed me infront of the other customers and they have spoiled work of that as I had to take a leave to go there. Kindly suggest how to complain against them.

At the outset, we apologize on behalf of the bank official and would like to assure you that we never force our customers to opt for a product as a condition to maintaining an account with us. What seems to have happened in your case is an unfortunate and one-off instance. We would like to investigate this matter further. Request you to send us an email at the id [protected]@hdfcbank.com with your account and contact details. Also please mention the id TTU[protected] in the subject line of your email. Once we receive this information, a bank representative shall contact you.

Nothing happened even after months. You guys are pathetic. Your words are in vein.

THis was one of the worst experiences I had with any Indian Bank. All I have to say to you is that, you have lost an NRI Customer. I was about to open an account with you because I left India then after.

But I would not recommend any one in my circle to have a business relationship with you.
