[Resolved]  HDFC Bank — Card application declined with no reason provided

I have got a call from HDFC bank for Credit card about a month ago, they told me about the offers and benefits then asked about my salary details. After confirming my eligibility for Credit card there representative visited my place filling in form and took all my required documents. Couple of days later i got SMS with my ref number. then got 2 3 verification calls one my Mobile and office numbers. I have received as letter from bank to which i have to acknowledge with my NAME/CONTACT NUMBER/ADDRESS details. I did that.

Then thereafter i have not received any further update from bank not a mail or call. Then i called up customer care to enquire about the status. They simply said my application is declined, when i asked for the reason, the answer was don't know or cannot tell you.
This is pathetic and stupid answer, being eligible with authenticate documents they are not giving any reason for my application decline.

I am highly disappointed with HDFC bank service and Customer care support.
Pathetic pathetic.

Card application decline with no reason provided

I have got a call from HDFC bank for Credit card about a month ago, they told me about the offers and benefits then asked about my salary details. After confirming my eligibility for Credit card there representative visited my place filling in form and took all my required documents. Then thereafter i have not received any further update from bank not a mail or call. Then i called up customer care to enquire about the status. They simply said my application is declined, when i asked for the reason, the answer was don't know or cannot tell you.
This is pathetic and stupid answer, being eligible with authenticate documents they are not giving any reason for my application decline.

I am highly disappointed with HDFC bank service and Customer care support.

This is Viswanth from Symantec Corporation i joined in the month of July 5 2011 while i was joining, i applied the credit card still now i did not receive the credit card, im the only person who don't have the credit card in my office after that i contacted your reps lot of times they told that you need to reapply the credit card, it got rejected due to home address after that i applied in the month of October they didn't tell any reason, i submitted all those documents what ever they asked me.i spent lot of money to call your reps regarding these and i completely frustrated i am fine with your debit card and Net banking that's the only reason, im not switching over to Citibank bank .my salary account is hdfc bank and my customer id :39950025, i didn't want to mention your hdfc bank rep' name, he not all responding when ever i call him. just revert back to me ASAP, if its very difficult to providing me the credit card just let me know, i will very glad to switch over to Citibank bank
Again last month i applied on the date of April 27 2012 still its under process now they asking me to submit office proof, i already submitted althose proof, this is ridiculous

Hello i am very disapointed with hdfc bank some few days ago i have applied a credit card that was in card to card scheme my cibil score is very good my another card is going very well no late payment no cheque bounse i have very good credit history but bank declined my card without any reason that is very bad

I will never ever join with HDFC Bank in future .I do have other banks credit card like SBi, ICICI, Axis and Yes bank.
They have given me there card without any hesitation .Its really embarrassing that your application got declined without any proper reason.
In future If I get any call from HDFC then you be ready to take some abusive strike from my end, Dont you even dare to do that .

i got the message from the hdfc stating that my processing for the credit card is completed, but after 2 days it's showing that the application is decline. Then why the hell u massaged me & called me saying that the processing is successfully completed, now i am thinking that opening the account in thi =s bank was stupidity.

Credit Card Application Declined - HDFC Bank

I applied for credit card before 10 days and then verification team call me and confirmed details. After some physical verification to my workplace and my resident they said all is ok.
Today am i getting a sms completing processing and given track link. But when i check status my application is decline . Anywhere not showing reason and no any call back. Which number should i call to talk with a person and know my reason. Please email me @[protected]@gmail.com

After 4 Days i getting a sms completing processing and given track link. But when i check status my application is decline . Anyhere not shwoing reason and no any call back.

I got a pre-approved offer for an HDFC millennia card which after I applied got rejected, 3 days later a guy came to my house for verification and I also got a text that home verification for KYC documents will be done today, but the text said KYC verification for Moneyback card although I had applied for Millenia card. The guy came and verified my details and it's been 3 days and I still have got no message from HDFC about the status of my application. The funny thing is they rejected my application and then after 3 days send someone for verification that too for another card.

I tried calling the customer care number but there is no option to talk to a person, the only way you talk to them is when you need to report a stolen card. The customer care hung up on me because they will only talk to you when your card is stolen.

Very disappointed in HDFC
