[Resolved]  Hellotravel — Fraud with Customers

I would like to bring to your attention of a fraud and cheating of innocent people run by the travel portal HelloTravel (www.hellotravel.com) and its alias website http://greatindiatravels.in/.

Subject : Complaint of Fraud with innocent and unsuspecting consumers by Hellotravel.com and its alias Greatindiatravels.in and the company through which they are registered as One Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

In detail :

On July 1st, 2011, I received an email (kindly see below) from [protected]@hellotravel.com. I was planning a 4 day trip to Phuket in october 2011 and therefore upon receipt of this unwarranted mail, I called upon on the number given below[protected] to enquire about the offer. They took my mobile number and said they would call me next day with details. Around a week later, I received a call from someone who identified himself as Ravi and a staff of Hello Travel.com and said that I had evinced some interest in their offer and which is why they have called me back. They made many promises and offered to give a 7 night/8 day accommodation in 3 star hotel in India or Thailand or above for the offer price of Rs. 6999. The offer seemed good to me and as they claimed to be part of a bigger company indiamart, it seemed an attaractive offer. Therefore I made a payment of Rs. 6999 on July 11 after they called me more than 10 times on the same day from the same person named Ravi. Calls to me came from the number[protected] everytime. I made the payment in good faith via my HDFC bank account net banking through the gateway on the website hellotravel.com and greatindiatravel.in. The receipt of the payment was confirmed by phone as well as email by Ravi from [protected]@hellotravel.com. This guy Ravi told me that after the payment, I will get an confirmation email from their company immediately (such as 5 to 10 minutes). When no call or email came to me, I emailed them next day at [protected]@hellotravel.com and he said that there might be some technical problem and that it will certainly come next day. But when no mail or call came for 3 days, I tried to call him at the number from which he used to make call to me but despite trying several time, upon dialling the number it would say, the number you have dialled doesnt exists. I called them on their number[protected] and the girl who would pick the phone would apologize on knowing the problem and would say the matter would be resolved by the end of the day for sure. I kept calling them everyday and everyday they would on knowing the problem would either discconect the phone or say, they will do something about it. I called them more than 20 times but on hearing my problem, they would discconect the phone and sometimes make promise that it would be resolved immediately but to no avail. After a few days, I called to the number given on hellotravel.com (91-[protected]). The person who would attend the call everytime identified himself as Krishna chaurasia and I spoke to him about the problem. On being told of the problem, he agreed to allow me to speak to his boss. A woman came on phone and accepted of the offer and said greatindiatravels.in is the promotional website of hellotravels.com and that if I have made a payment and received no call or email despite a peiod of 5 days, it will be taken care of and they will immediately address the concern but nothing happened. I called krishna chaurasiya on several days and he would everytime say, matter would be resolved and that I should wait. He would say his bosses are busy and so he cant put me on call with them but i should write him a mail and that he will immediately forward it to concerned person. I wrote a mail to him on krishna.[protected]@indiamart.com. No reply came. I called him many times across many days and wrote to him twice but he kept on making promise that I will get a call in one hour or by evening which never came. Finally when it was clear that there is something grossly wrong in the whole business, I called the number[protected] but they on hearing the problem would disconnect the phone. I called again and told the female attendent that if my call is disconnected, then I will take the legal recourse for justice and will approach the police right away if I am not made to speak to the man named Ravi who had called me several times for this offer and who after the receipt of payment never called or replied to any mail. The female attendent agreed to put me to the guy named Ravi, who on coming the phone started saying that he was unavailable for weeks, and he has just come today and that he is extremely apologetic. I reacted angrily but he like a man without integrity and spine kept on making cock and bull stories and apologizing. I told him that despite elapse of 2 weeks I have received no email , no call from them and despite trying innumerable times through different medium over several days, nothing has come to my hand except false promises which are never honoured or disconnection of my phone. He said booking ID will be immediately provided to me by the end of that day. I on the advise of the SHO tapped the phonecall which lasted more than 45 minutes through my mobile phone which permits me such an option in which he agreed to all the lapses. I wish it were the end of the trouble but another series of calling him after every day or two began but nothing came except false promises and it was after weeks he mailed me an email giving me a booking id number and asked me to send the form by filling the destination , date of travel and booking ID and everything will be taken care of. I couriered them the form but they claimed on the form and on phone that they themselve will get in touch within 3 days but when no call or mail came to me for a week, I wrote to them on email but no reply came. Subsequently I called this man named Ravi (Office Mobile Number: [protected]) many times and every day he would say its already been done and that I will receive a confirmation email in half an hour and that he himself will call me to check. Neither any mail came nor he ever called and after every day or two I would call and he would repeat the same and apologize like a typical unscrupulous salesman with no moral conscience and spine. After a few days he refused to come on phone and ask his collegues to say he is busy and that he will call back. We called him many times but he would not come on phone and if he himself would answer the phone, he would say I am not Ravi, I am someone else even though it was clear from his voice that it’s the same guy. Luckily I have tapped four of my phone calls to him which I will produce before the police alongwith their emails, my emails, bank payment receipt as proof of this fraud and forgery. I know that I have made a fool of myself for the first time in my life but I have set upon myself the task to ensure that justice be served to these unscruplous people and companies.

Therefore it is my humble request that to bring justice to me and to protect other innocent people from falling into this dupe that this person named Ravi be immediately arrested and put behind bars. I am sure that if a deep investigation is made then, there must be others like me who have probably been cheated as well and the whole fraud will be unearthed and the offencers will be booked to justice. In times when the entire nation is demanding for a corruption free india, fraudulent business dealing of these dishonest people and shady companies is blotmark on our society.

I have been been having a similar frustating experience with Hello Travels. The smooth talking sales folks, promise Hilton and Hyatt with 100% confirmation. I paid an amount of INR 2999 vide transaction id 10291201 and since then have been chasing for various hotels which are on the resort list provided.
1. If I choose a hotel for a date - Ras Resort Silvassa, I am told it is not availabel for that date.
2. If I ask give me any date for the same resort over the next 3 months, I am suddenly told - the contract with that resort is closed - why is it on the list of approved resorts then ?
3. I have asked for dates and location that I can pick out of but I am always sent the standard resort list.

There is a definite fradulent operation running from Hello Travels. This will be evident in the fact that till such time as you make the payment, they will hound you and after making the payment -they dissapear . The names of the people you ask - who have interacted with you earlier - are always on another endless call which will never end if you indicate that you will wait or are on leave. The same person assumes multiple names and different people provide different reasons for not meeting your request.

I believe the plan is to drag it on for 9 months after which your voucher has anyways expired and Hello Travels is not bound to entertain you after that. I would be surprised if they have an employees by the name they actually give you on the phone.

Hello Travel is a Fraud company. In my case the travel agent Rihan spoke to and confirmed me the hotel availability befor I made the transaction[protected]. but after successful transaction the story is different. the support people[protected] say they hotel rooms are not available. the company should be blacklisted
We had the same experience. First they sent multiple promotional mails about the package, called up many times to follow up for bookings.

Finally we decided our holidays in Goa. The guy called Anshuman (Mobile [protected]) promised us that the hotels are available in Goa for the dates we planned so we paid 2999 thru net banking (booking ID[protected].
But after payment, this person stopped taking the phone calls or would make somebody else to speak to us for about a month. They did not even responded to any of the mails.

And just two days before the travel date, they told us that the hotel where we were booked is not available. We had to postpone the holidays and we did not even get any refund of amount paid.

We realised that there are many parties involved in this fraud.

You get promotional calls from Hello Travels/Indiamart. You make payment to company called One Touch solutions.

When you call the hello travel numbers they respond saying they are just doing the promotion and one touch solution is actually making travel arrangements.

All these companies should be blacklisted and strong action should be taken against these fraudulent people who are cheating through emails/telephones.

This company is filled with people buried in fraud till their head.

I had applied for booking on 4th June and was promised il get the vouchers in 10 days. It is almost a month and still have not received it. All the numbers given are switched off.

We need to unite and go to the consumer court against them!!!

Wondering they giving me the voucher is so delayed and bad, i wonder how their services will be when it comes to booking my hotels.

Something is too damn fishy out here.. there are people faking & Changing names while talking to you, even when you are dead sure, that he is THE Same person you spoke to just yesterday.. Its basically to pass the buck or not resolve the issue.. Another funny thing is that when I asked the "Team lead" who was to "attend to my grievance", about the name of the MD, as would like to write to him, the response I Got was unbelievable.. was told that "It is confidential" & they are not allowed to disclose the name of the director! its really a shame that people run these kinds of biz.. what unscrupulous dealings are allowed in our country.. India seems to be thriving them.. I mean, its utterly disgusting..
can we all do something about this? Though i stay in bangalore, but I dont mind coming down to Noida by paying 2 times more than what I Have paid here, to sort this setup out?
Altho the product isnt as bad, but the way it is sold hits you up! high time, they refund the money to people who have believed in them! Lets unite, really!
This is Ram, From Chennai, Who paid Rs 3999/- from Debit card for the package of 2 nights and 3 days stay in MGM Beach resort, Chennai, today 6pm (23/7/12) for two persons, coz of the several calls of One Ravi, from Great India travels.in and Confirmation from him and he said he informed and he ll arrange deluxe room..He never left us till payment, then after i tried with that MGM Beach Resort, they said no such booking there in my name..then only i realised that i was cheated by Your team...Then i called that Ravi in his no :([protected]), he said he ll contact the resort..then i called his number again, he switched off...I complained with the customer support in [protected]..they said they will inform him...i was waiting for their calls out side the hotel..this is a new trend of cheating.. you gave false promise for the hotel stay from 23/7/12 to 25/7/12.. i sent you several mails regarding this issue and i informed you that i have to lodge a police complaint under sections 409, 420 IPC for the criminal breach of trust and caused wrongful loss to me..But you didnt turn back and after several phone calls, you sent me a formal mail that you ll contact me soon..but you didnt repay my money till, but you people are irretating me by sending again and again the same mails to call me to join and pay again for the packages... ..I will wait till a week to get money, otherwise It is sure, i will file a case against you...Ram..91 [protected]..

Please read this review before going ahead to deal with Hello Travels/Great India Travels/One Touch Solutions My apeeal to Chairman and Managing Director, Hellow Travels/One Touch Solutions/Great India Travel/India Mart. Booking No.10299873 Sir, I purchased this package from Hello Travels. This journey starts from the day when I was contacted by Mr.Raj, your sales executive. I bought 4 nights package on his assurance that part of this package can be given to any other person and I will get a big travel bag as compared to small one which is given on buying 2 nights package.( I wanted 3 nights package and that was not available, so on his words I bought 4 nights package) I am sorry to say that I got small bag. When I enquired from customer care cell, I was informed that there is no such scheme (including passing of balance package to any other fellow) and what ever was told by Mr.Raj is not correct and I should have reconfirmed with customer care. I started contacting Mr.Raj but no response and after few days i stopped. I just can’t understand that they expect customer to reconfirm whereas I had taken this package on your sales executive words. Anyways, we leave this small issue of bag and passing of part package. I moved ahead and applied to avail my package and sent the form and Demand Draft through courier. There was no acknowledgement from them. It is very disappointing that they never acknowledge the receipt of mail/any other dak from customer (remember this thing happed in my whole episode). This is the basic thing which a customer can expect from a service provider. On my enquiring, I was surprised to know that my form is technically not acceptable (so many days have been wasted) and I have to refill this form. All our excitement to go on vacation gone. Please note you have to call them for everything and they will not call u. IT IS NOT OUT OF PLACE TO MENTION THAT IT IS YOUR MONEY THAT YOU HAVE PAID THEM IN ADVANCE. They think u have no work and free the whole year and they ask to change your programme. It is not over. Now I filled the form (remember DD is alaready received by them) and sent to them in October; two and half months before (booking requested for Jaunary, 2013). Also, please note before sending I called customer care cell and briefed them the dates and desination and other things to avoid uncessary hustle in future. I was told that since the booking is for January, 2013 I will get a call in November end. It is not surprising that as usual there was no call. When I called customer care in 1st Week of Decmber, I was shocked to know that my form is not acceptable on technical ground. In this whole episode, I have been calling them for everything. Had I been contact immediately after the receipt of the form, I would have been in a position to change the program. Other thing, it hardly mattesr for them what u r saying, that fellow will continue repeating same thing and They expect to change your programe as they feel (Don’t forget that u r begging for package againt the money which you have given to them well in advance). Finally I am on the verge of loosing my package/money as I can’t change my program now and also minimum 30 days clause is waiting for me (from their side) resulting in lapsing my package. TheyU can imagine that I have not included other things (I thought to give main pointy) which u expect from a service provider. Really disappointing, frustrating. I Hope, this message to goes to senior management of Great India Travels and they take some action. If some one is going ahead to deal with Hello Travels/One Touch Solutions, please read this review once.
Hellotravels.com is a Totally Fraud Company. They are in cahoots with their agents who will swindle you after taking your bookings after promising good rates (As they dont have to deliver, they will promise you anything you want). Happy Travels and Tours / Skanda Travels and Tours from Bangalore are their partners in crime. They keep changing their names and their mobile numbers. So the best thing to do is not deal with unscrupulous people like this.

In today's market Hello Travel is one of the worst marketplace, with a very skilled and over committing sales team!

Keeping in mind the commitments made by hello travel sales executive, I bought a plan for INR 25, 000/-.

In this plan I was offered 360 leads that I could buy, and 200 free leads also a Business advantage plan( which is completely useless).

I'm sharing a few experiences:-

Lead quality- The worst quality of leads ever

what usually happened-

Example 1-

agent- Hi Sir, this is X calling from Hello travels.

Customer- Han BOLO

Agent- this call is regarding you holiday plan.

Customer- Nahi humko nhi chhye call mt krna.

Example 2-

agent- Hi Sir, this is X calling from Hello travels.

Customer- NAHI GLT NUMBER HAI

Example 3-

agent- Hi Sir, this is X calling from Hello travels.

Customer- to?

Agent- So I need to note down a few details then I'll provide you quotes.

Customer- KITNE KA HAI BTAO.

ALL THE LEADS NEED NURTURING OF AT LEAST 30 DAYS. IT'S BEEN 4 MONTHS AND I HAVE A FEW LEADS 4 MONTH OLD IN THE FUNNEL!

After your subscription period is over that happened with me, I had 250 leads in my funnel and I got a mail from hello travels saying that either make the payment or your account will be deactivated due to which I was not able to see the leads.

This is a trap, if you've made the payment you cannot get out of this.

I've made a bold decision of leaving 250 leads and I would not recommend anyone to with with hello travels.

Their cost per lead is around INR 83, It's better to go for Trip shelf of Holiday IQ or Travel Triangle.

The lead quality is way awesome of these brands as compared with hello travels.
