[Resolved] Hometown, Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited — Cheating on delivery, Installation and charges | |||
Dear Sir, Selected Egger Flooring from Home Town Thane. Paid advance of Rs. 5000 on 25 /08/2011 and the next day a person came and inspected the place and took measurement for the same and conveyed to us the exact no. of boxes that will be needed for the flooring. Paid by Credit card in full on 26/08/2011 with a promise that delivery and installation will be done on Monday 29/08/2011. We were told the installation person will get along the corner pieces and the doorway flooring laminate and the cost for the same will be collected by the instaling technician. We waited on Monday and nobody turned up. The installation person came today Tuesday 30/08/2011 and told us that we will have to pay additional amount for removing the previous flooring. We were not informed about these charges by the person that came to take the measurements. We are now told that the person installing will finish installing and get the border some other day and fix them to the flooring. My contention is that we were not informed of any of these conditions and this amount to not providing the complete information which amounts to cheating. Please help to penalise such fradulent vendors who can also cheat the general public at large as this is a retail chain for Furnitutre.
