[Resolved]  Honda Civic — Steering Wheel Defect - Manufacturing or Servicing

I want to bring to your notice, even though this complaint is almost over one month from the date i got my honda civic serviced(14-Aug-2009) for the second time from Ring Road Honda Workshop located in Peeragarhi, but i had to email since the helpline is really of no help.

I have been explaining to the service provider of the defect which is pertaining from day one from the purchase of this vehicle from dealership of Ring Road, Honda. The alignment of the car is not straight, it veers towards the left side. And on closer observation have found out that the issue could be due to the fact steering wheel is slightly slanted towards the left side.

I had explained the issue to the service engineer when my vehicle was picked up for its second service as well, and initially he was reluctant to check/service the same. He sheepishly told the undersigned that it would be a 'paid service', but i confronted him and told him that this defect is from day one and last time also the (during the first service), the engineer explained to us that there was no issue and hence didn't bother to address our concern.

Not only the alignment issue wasn't addressed, but the steering wheel has been made so hard. Its harder than any diesel car i have driven. The drive of above mentioned honda civic is very uncomfortable and especially since this car is used to drop my son to school, i am very scared of the durability factor.

I am very clueless as to why this problem cant be resolved, and even if its a manufacturing defect, the same should be replaced with utmost sincerity and urgency.

I have so many issues with Ring Road Honda Peeragarhi workshop, since the time i have purchased and sent this car for servicing, it has never come back on the day it has been sent for servicing. Despite always committing that the car would come back within a day, i have go the car only on the second day. And that too without delivering and completing the jobs it is supposed too.

In my immediate family and including myself, we have bought cars and serviced from Honda (different dealership), Chevrolet, Ford and Volkswagen, but we have never got such a raw deal and such high level of incompetence.

I am really worried about taking the car on the highway as it would be a hindrance on the fast highway's. I would earnestly request you to look into this and fix this once and for all.
