[Resolved]  HSBC Credit Card — Threatening calls on already settled card.

This is to bring in your kind attention that iam getting multiple threat calls from HSBC bank to settle my card no [protected] but I want to bring in your kind attention that I have fully settled this credit card 10 months ago. I have settled my card via settlement letter no FFS/BGE/BGL/NOW/CPD/120408/SR & handed over the cheques via receipt no 0247677. But It is very unfortunate to state that today also at 8:30 I received call from Mr. Vinod[protected] who claimed himself from hsbc legal department & threaten me to send/add my name in defaulters list. He also threatens me to send legal court notice. I have complained so many times to hsbc bank about the statement I m getting every month with false amount but uptill now no action has been taken to sort this.

I have send so many gentle reminders to them but no action has been taken so far.

Here is the summery for reference

1) I applied for settlement of card [protected] in the month of April 08.
2) Received call from Sayeed from collections/settlement department who sits in Chennai .
3) We agreed on settlement of 35, 000 payble in 3 equal installment. Last installment payble date was 30th june 08.
4) Sayeed informed Hemant[protected] to send settlement letter to me who was from HSBC Bangalore.
5) Hemant coordinated with Pankaj Puri from hsbc noida & told him to send settlement letter to me in noida.
6) Pankaj puri[protected] sends me settlement letter through his courier boy names Ajay ([protected])
Settlement letter no. (FFS/BGE/BGL/NOW/CPD/120408/SR)

I handed over 3 cheques with following details to ajay against receipt number 0247677.

1) Cheque no. 468139 dated 20th April worth 10, 000
2) Cheque no. 468140 dated 20th May worth 10, 000
3) Cheque no. 468141 dated 20th June worth 15, 000

Even after paying my all installment iam keep on getting continuous monthly statements from bank. I spoke with sayeed & hemant several times & reported about this problem but every time they assured me that my card is closed with no pending dues.

I have called & write mail so many times to hsbc but no action has been taken so far & still iam getting calls from bank to make payment on already settled card.

I called several times on[protected] but they said they cannot help me ...they told me to call agency numbers which is for Gaurav girdhar[protected]/02/03/04 & bangalore numbers are Bindu[protected] & Anurup[protected].

Please help me as i cannot take this anymore.

Dear Deep,

You should escalate your matter to [protected]@hsbc.co.in, sathya.[protected]@hsbc.co.in, [protected]@hsbc.co.in in order to STOP the unwanted calls.

Further It would be cruel to inform you that in all cases of SETTLEMENT ; In prima facie Bank use to incurr a huge financial and thts why they reserve the right to refer your said details to negative database/ regulators such as CIBIL, which appears as WRITTEN OFF or SETTLED ACCOUNT.

Now i dont know in what circumtances you have chosen this way of SETTLEMENT.

You may write me for any further clarification.

For the last one year i am not using the card . Now I want to close the credit card. what is the process of closing the credit card. please advise.
Please allow me to introduce myself my name is Michael Mason-Mahon and I am a shareholder of HSBC Plc. I am based in London.
I was in Mumbai in September where I had a meeting with the CEO of HSBC to raise my concerns about the way HSBC was treating its customers.
I am going to ask the RBI TO DO A FULL INVESTIGATION into HSBC India.
For me to do this I need people that are willing to send their complaints to me and to allow me to forward their complaints, not only to the Board of Directors of HSBC Holdings Plc also to the Governor, Dr. D Subbarao and Shriv.K.Sharma, Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India to investigate HSBC India as evidence to support the way that (and this is my personal belief) the Bank has breached the Code of Banks Commitment to Customers.

Please help me to help you, if we join together we will be able to make a change in their behaviour (I do hope so).
I have also sent a letter to all Board Directors of HSBC Holdings Plc.
Reference HSBC India
I refer to the concerns that I raised at the AGM in May concerning the behaviour of HSBC in India. Following my representation of complainants against HSBC India I have found the behaviour by the Bank to be totally unacceptable. This is my personal belief.
(This is my personal belief.)
I have found that the Bank has failed to comply with the RBI and the Banking Ombudsman Rules and Regulation in the handling of complaints. Also in all the complaints that I have personally handled there was no evidence that the Bank had informed the complainants of their right to take their complaint to the Banking Ombudsman which the Bank was obliged to do under the RBI rules and regulations.

So if you would like to contact me, please send me your complaint in full.

Kind regards
Michael
