Complaint Details : Dear Sir/Madam,

I was a customer of HSBC Credit Card no. [protected]. On December 2005, I got a call from Mumbai HSBC Executive that TATA AIG has launched a scheme especially for HSBC Credit Card holders. That call was come from Mumbai Ph.[protected] and the Executives names were Mr. Sarfaraz Khan, Manish, and Chirag. They told me about TATA AIG MAHA RAKSHA POLICY plan in December month last week. In my first reaction, I clearly told them that I am not interested and cannot afford this policy. Again after 5 minutes another person called me and said to read manual first then if I did not interested for that then I can do cancel these policies within 2-3 weeks. I said OK, if I can read it first and check that I can afford it or not then I will let them know. On the same call he said that I can cancel those polices (if not interested) simply just to call TATA AIG 24 hours toll free no [protected] (which is now changed).

Then after a week on 01/10/2006, I received a courier. When I have opened these policy papers I saw that these policies were only for 1 year (which was not in my noticed by the executives, they misguided me). Immediately, I have decided that the amount of these policies is too big and it can not afford my pocket. I called, immediately to TATA AIG toll free no. But no body was picking up the phone and it was always busy. In second action, I called to HSBC help line, but they said clearly that they could not help on this case because it is a TATA AIG case and they can not do anything on it. I was SHOCKED and SURPRISE that on one hand HSBC’s executives introducing there customers TATA AIG policy plan, now they are saying they cannot do anything! In my third action, I sent a mail to info.hsbc.co.in on 01/14/2006 to cancel my policies. I got an automated mail on Jan. 17 that they need 5 working days for this and will get back to me after 48 hours, but again no action has been taken from your side. After 8 days, I got a call by Mr. Chirag that HSBC wants a cancellation request latter attention to Mr. Chandan and give me a fax no. to cancel these policies. Next day, on Jan. 23, I had sent a fax in their direct no.[protected]which was given by Chirag). I thought my policies were finally cancelled now, but again no further action have been taken from HSBC. On February, I got a call that my outstanding Rs. 790/- due against a bill (which I have not received) within 2-3 days. After this I had decided that I will not use this card anymore now because of service failure and UNBEARABLE NONSENSE. But again on March, I got call that I have to pay Rs. 1792.96 paisa. Then I loose my temper and told to the executives to cancel my credit card now. If I have not received your bills for February and March period not even using your card how this bill can raise. I requested to send me the duplicate bill for my clarification. On that bill every amount was wrong. Annual fee were wrong, Finance charges were wrong, and late payment fees were wrong, which was adjusted after my clarifications. Then I got a bill on April 2006, on which only one policy was cancelled,
but 2 more policies are still on the bill. Then I talked with TATA AIG executives in there toll free no on April at night when lines were not busy and talked with TATA AIG customer case executive and he confirmed me that TATA AIG had cancelled all three policies without any charges, but in the May again I got that the policies amount is still on the bill.
On 29 June, I got a call from HSBC’s collection department Mumbai that I have to pay policy amount after discussion he suggest to send a fax on there direct collection department number[protected] for TATA AIG policies cancellation amount reversal. I had sent that, but did not get any confirmation or action on it.

Finally, I had sent a notice latter to them after filling consumer complaint number 93261 on[protected], to do clear all my dues, but till today I haven't received any call from them.

Now after 3 years pending problem they put me on Bed Debts list and now saying to settle this account and pay some money around 17, 000 to them. This pending amount is actually showing due to TATA AIG policies. I had cleared all my dues before asking them to cancel my credit card.

I have all the relevant documents regarding this case. Please do something. I am feeling mentally depressed and unbalanced due to this behavior of HSBC Bank.

Thanking you

Now I have filled my complaint in RBI site. May be that will work, but almost 3 days have been passed, but haven't received any mail or call from there side too.

HSBC Credit Card — Feeling bad to be a customer of HSBC

My credit card number [protected] which I was using from Nov 2007 is expired on Nov,2009. I was about to request for cancelation of my card, since I was not happy with the services of HSBC.

I mantained zero purchase on the card from July 2009 by clearing personal loan earlier. They have not returned the interest as I have cleared earlier but in Dec 2009 I got an Email stating I have to pay Rs 2000+ as part of annual charges and so.

Why should I pay when I am not owning any credit card?

Let me how to deal with a company that don't have basic ethics in bussiness.
