HTC Touch — Repeated Problem

This is regarding HTC TOUCH phone in bought in may last year. I bought the phone from Mobile House in Noida, bill dated 08.05.2008. S/N of Phone is SZ815G614202. The Phone was working fine till november. In november, one day when i switched on the phone in the morning, the buttons on the front panel were functioning strangely. On pressing any button on the front panel, camera got activated. I tried soft reset, but it didnt help. Then i tried hard resetting the device. But to my shock, the buttons now stopped responding completely and the phone got stuck on the hard reset screen sinse the buttons didnt respond to confirm or reject the reset. I had a real hard time and faced many problems since i could not call and end the calls easily. I took the phone to the GNH telecom in noida. They told me that there is some fault with the main board and it will be replaced. They took about 25 days to replace the phone during which i had many hardships because i didnt have a replacement phone and the service centre refused to provide one. I got the phone back after many requests and frequent visits to the service centre. The new IMTI no. of the main board was [protected] as against the old ITMI no. i.e. [protected]. After this the phone worked fine for about 7 days. After 7 days the phone developed the same problem in the same manner. i.e. after awitching on the phone, the buttons didn't respond and on soft resetting also, the phone got stuck on the hard reset screen. I took the phone back to the GNH telecom in noida. They took the phone for checking and reported a week later that the main board has to be changed again. This time i got the phone after 35 days of submitting. The new IMTI no. till date is [protected]. When i got the phone back, the front panel of the phone was loose and the screws at the back were not fitting. The screws even came out without a screwdriver. i reported this to GNH, but they just tightened the screws again and told me that front panel has to be changed but its not in stock. This has been the condition since today. Yesterday to my shock and horror, the phone developed the earlier problem yet again! the buttons which ever pressed is activating the camera. if i try to switch the phone off or soft reset it, the phone goes to the hard reset option. The buttons at various points of time have even stopped responding. I cannot call from the phone directly. I have reported the problem on the website also. I am very upset with the service provided by HTC and GNH and donot wish to give the phone for service. The phone has developed problem which cannot be rectified, and even if done, will develop it again. Therefore i want HTC to kindly replace my handset immediately

HTC touch phone is a problematic. HTC should replace the problematic phones with free of cost
Hi! Apoorv and other posters. I totally agree with all of you. HTC is worst phone I have ever encountered in my life. I bought HTC touch in february 2008 for INR 18200/- from chandigarh (Bobby electronics - famous shop in chandigarh). In december 2008 the phone started the problem of automatically increasing the volume for ever as If I have constantly slided up the side volume control althought I haven't done so. Then I put the phone in the box due to irritation and after one year it started working again magically one day. But now after using for 10 days it has started the same problem as with your phone front panel buttons. I have opened the phone several time to clean the connector of front panel inside the phone but it would start the same problem every day. Today the not a single button was working except power button. I again cleaned the connector and all buttons started working properly but the camera button (on the side of the phone) was automatically clicking constantly without even pressing it. In one attempt of cleaning the inside connector again I accidently broken up the LCD. Yes! there is a huge crack on one of the layer of LCD and whole LCD is not flashing in white colour.

My htc touch has now totally ruined up. I think I have wasted my INR 18200/- on this phone for nothing. I am very annoyed of the R&D and engineers of this company. These engineers are so damn fool that they can't analyze the design of their product (htc touch here). Would it be a good thing that a customer bought a costly phone and waste his/her time and money on this [censored].

Comapanies in my blacklists (I had bad experience with these companies and hate them):

Microtek (All products) and it's parent concern (i.e. Action Shoes)

LG (All products) - I have bad experience with their washing machine, computer cd rom drive

Samsung - Bad CD writers. Tray will struck most of the time. Dealer said this is inherent design fault.

Nokia - Purchased Nokia 6610 for INR 8600/- and after 2 years keypad problem occured. But their low end phone Nokia 1200 is good which I am currently using.

Lenovo - I have one lenovo Laptop manufactured in china (written on back side). One day left speaker stopped working. On internet found many such cases. Wifi On/Off button is loose located near power LED.

It proved that all these companies are our money suckers. They are not giving us quality in returns of our hard earned money which we are paying to them for their costly products. I just hate them.
