I gave a call yesterday to block my card where the Customer care confirmed that the card is blocked, inspite of that they have sent me a message asking to make payment for the transaction not done by me. What to do, can you help me
I lost my credit card in Jan 2009... even after repeated requests for a new credit card, the credit card depatment only called me for collection of the outstanding amount. They did not give me a new credit card. In June they asked me to settle the balance by paying 2 installments of 12, 000 each. The first installment was made right then, but I paid the second installment in 3-4 smaller installements. But the whole amount was paid. Now, they are further deducting 29, 000 from my ICICI bank account for outstanding payment. Isn't this unfair? They will be recovering Rs. 56, 000 for the long pending outstanding payment of Rs. 28, 000 (approx.)... only.
My home loans cheques have bounced because of this. Could you please suggest what is the best route to take to get them to stop this unfair practice? Please help!
