I am based in New Zealand and I wanted to install iMobile application in my iPad,as a one time fix to avoid frequent frustrating OTP requests for online banking.
I called customer care (mind you its an international call) twice ending up hearing "the office hours for iMobile team is 9 AM - 5 PM)" and "The system is down. Call us after half an hour" respectively.
Finally today I got hold of a customer representative from iMobile stating that it is not possible to access from my iPad since i don't have access to Indian number. If i want to change my mobile number (to any of my family member), I was suggested to courier (International courier) the required document without any explanation about the process.
The situation is I cannot access my own account due to poorly planned security measures by ICICI. I have already verified my account details through call to contact customer executive.
The customer service is very mechanical and makes no sense to solve the problem. They stick to some procedures which doesn't fit with practical scenarios (Similar to certain Government offices).
If someone reading this is an NRI / anyone planning to go overseas,better avoid ICICI. Was this information helpful? |
