[Resolved]  ICICI Demat Account — HIGH MINIMUM BALANCE

MY SELF PABITRA SETHI, YOUR BANK AGENT IS CHITING WITH ME, HE SAID MINIMUM BALANCE IS "0"'BALANCE, THEN BRANCH MANAGER SAID MINIMUM BALANCE IS 10.200

I have had the same experience. And the bank did not even notify me when they started penalizing me by charging a penalty fee. Is it unfair to expect a simple communication indicating that they are going to charge me a penalty fee?

While I did not even know that I had to maintain a certain balance!

I get conflicting statements from an ICICI manager saying the following,

You did not get a statement because you did not have any transactions in your account initiated by you. And I don;t understand how in the world I would have initiated any transaction when I did not have money in that account? In this case, I would like to know any transactions done on my account not initiated by me. The Bank doesn't seem to get this.

While I get all nonsense SMS/email/hardcopy from them, it some how seems difficult to send me an alert on this.

One of their employee even went to an extent that you should be polling your account for the min balance - Honestly there is such a huge oppurtunity here to keep the customer satisfaction high. Seems like this bank is not here for a longer run - Make money when sun shines...

We will be fools to bank on such a Bank!
