[Resolved]  ICICI Lombard Health Insurance — I am cheated my Lombard Executive

I thought ICICI Bank is the trusted bank few hours before. Now only I come to know that it is the fraud company I never saw. If you want to know the reason, please read the story which happened on my life.


I received ICIC Bank Credit Card on second week of December 2008. This is the first time I am using the “Credit Card”. I don’t know particularly what is the process, ICICI following to purchase the things from online using the credit card. My credit card cash limit is 40, 000. I planned to increase my credit limit. On January 6, 2009 Morning around 11.00AM I received a call from the Number [protected] ICICI Lombard Insurance (yesterday only I know she is from ICICI Lombard Insurance), a girl introduced herself as Meera(I don’t know whether this is a original name or fake name)ICICI Customer service officer, handling the Preparation of Credit Card Statement for my credit card. She asked me that if you are interested for increasing the credit card cash limit. I told “Yes, but I don’t know what it the procedure to increase my credit card limit”. She asked “How Much you want to increase your credit limit”. I told 1 lakhs. She replied me that one guy will call you and talk you regarding insurance. You have to say yes for everything. I asked why should I have to say “Yes”. She replied no need to worry about anything . I am the person going to prepare Credit Card Statement for you. You will receive the verification call “Accept the things from the guy and don’t interrupt in the middle”. After that you will receive the policy with in 3 days. Call me at this number and tell me the policy number which you received, I will cancel the policy and immediately increase your credit limit. There is no cancellation charge for this policy. This is the easier way to increase your credit limit.

At that time I am not realized that she is cheating me to sell the product. I thought she is from ICICI Bank customer service. I received a call from Verification officer and I told “yes” for all the things. The same day I received a message from ICICI Bank at 5:36 PM, that I made a transaction of RS.19, 576.00/- from my credit card. I shocked. Next day I called meera for the number she call me on January 6th 2009. She told “Be Cool, nothing will happen, I am here to help you, without your permission nobody can take any single amount from your credit card. After receiving your policy number intimate me, I will cancel your Policy, Don’t worry”. I believed her words because I thought she is from ICICI Bank Customer Service. After that I received the Policy number on my mobile on 8th January 2009. I tried many times to Meera, One guy is lifting the call and telling that she is busy. She is in Meeting. After that only I come to know she is cheated me. I immediately called to Lombard Customer service and informed the things which happened to me. Customer Service Officer replied that you can cancel the policy but you have to pay 25%(Rs.3000/-) of your amount as cancellation charge”.

My question is

Why should I have to pay the cancellation charge?
This is the way that ICICI encouraging their staff to cheat their customer?
This is the way to develop your Business?
If the Bank cheating its customer means what is the customer situation?

Please don’t cheat innocent Public.On 23rd January 2009, I called the same number, the call is transferred to a guy he introduced himself as Mr. Arun, Team Lead of ICICI Lombard Insurance, Ambattur office, Chennai. I explained everything to him like one of his team member cheated me like that, he listened everything silently and finally asking me “Then why should you agreed, to taking the policy on that day?”. I replied “For past 15 minutes I explained the things happened and my situation everything to you. Still you are asking be the useless question”. He replied me that if you want to continue the policy continue it otherwise you have to pay the cancellation charge of 25%(Rs.3000 /-)and he cut the call.

Please don't belive anyone who calling you. Think twice before taking the decision. Be alert, because nobody will us after this kind of cheating. They are planned very well, how to cheat others.

Same Problem I Have Faced From ICICI Lombard & As Per Their Team Member They Will Refund All The Money Which They Have Blocked From My Credit Card.I Don't have To Pay Any Cancellation Charges.

Now I Applied For Canselation & They are Asked For Canselation.

I Have All The Recording In My Mobile Of Our Conversation.

Now, I Feel My Self Cheat.
Yes... Its absolutely true. I also cheated by Lombard in the same way.

Do u says ICICI cheated U? or u got Cheated?

Both have different meaning...

This is not only with ICICI. all banks and health insurance come are like this.

Everything has to be written and accepted by both parties.

Don't believe any phone calls. use online chat faulty where u will have statement of records.

I have 6 years of ICICI Exp. i never had such issue in sence i never got cheated becoz i always have a proof to show them.

Be Watchful.

I have registred the claim complaint on 22 - Jan 2014 MOTO 3567207 till date you bank has not reverted back to me on the status no surveryor visited the workshop for three days
