[Resolved]  ICICI Prudential Health Saver — ICICI Prudential health insurance

Hi,

My parents are staying in Jhansi. My father(age 59) was looking for a health insurance policy for my mother(age 51). One of the ICICI Prudential agent visited them and suggested a policy and the premium amount he has suggested is Rs 15000 per annum which was also mentioned in the brochure of ICICI Prudential. After 2-3 days branch Manager of ICICI Prudential Jhansi, Mr. Hitesh Gupta has visited my place and asked for a cheque of Rs 16000, which was Rs 1000 more than the amount mentioned in the brochure.
According to Mr. Hitesh Gupta the policy might get rejected if cheque of Rs 15000 given, which still we are not able to understand. Still my father has given him a cheque of Rs 16000. After some days a complete medical of my mother has been done and according to Mr. Gupta based on the report of medical examination, the policy will be alloted(on the same premium) or not. During this period the cheque of Rs 16000 has also been drawn. After some days when my father enquired about the status of the policy Mr. Hitesh Gupta said that according to medical report my mother is slightly over weight but the policy can still be done with some extra amount. He has suggested new premium amount of Rs 18000 per annum. When my father did not give his consent and raised an objection on such dealing Mr. Gupta again did a calculation and offered Rs 1000 discount on the Rs 18000. By the time my father has lost interest in making any kind of relation with ICICI Prudential. He has not accepted the consent letter of new premium and asked for refund of the money(Rs 16000). Mr Gupta has suggested that the amount will be refunded in 5-6 days, today its around 12 days the amount is not refunded. When I tried to contact Mr. Gupta his behaviour was certainly very rude and unprofessional. He also questioned on my knowledge of insurance stuff.
I was shocked with such kind of rude behaviour because I have not seen such a behaviour from any of the representative of the private organizations now a days.

My complaint is despite giving the cheque of asked amount my father is asked for extra premium and after not opting for the policy the given amount is not refunded to him. Now on enquiring about the status we are facing very rude behaviour of the ICICI Prudential Jhansi branch.
