[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — False Commitment

I brought a SIM (Life time free Incoming) from one shop at Bandra and he charged Rs 399.00 from me and told me that I'll get Rs.300.00 worth talk time free with it. I asked him that I'm going to use it with my Nokia model no. 2100, and he very strongly told me that it'll work. Once reached home I tried it and did not get the network even after selecting manually. I called up the vendor and after many calls to him he gave a me another number and the guy told me that you need to talk to the technical team of Idea. I called up the Customer care and spoke to the technical team and they started telling me that it'll not work on that model and for that I need to buy another handset which will suit to their band width. I tried with Dopod D600 and after selected manually the network of of some numbers and it started working and on the screen it was showing that number only and roaming symbol was there.I asked the Customer care and they told me that the roaming starts after Bhayandar. After a weeks time I brought a new handset of LG and put the SIM into that. It showed IDEA as service provider along wih the symbol of Roaming. Even I could not able to make any calls without the prefix of '0'. And every time the amount is deducted as std call charges. And that too it's deducting from Rs.150.00 not from Rs.300.00. I called up again on 12th and the customer care team told me to visit any Idea Gallery and talk to them. They do not have any solution for my problems. Even they do not have any gallery at Mira Road and that means I'll have to go to any Idea Gallery in Mumbai side and spoil the whole day. This's the kind of service Idea provides. Now the only solution for me is to visit to any lawyer and file suit against them.

My name is Sumit A. Dave currently i am residing at colaba my complaint is direct to idea group i got idea postpaid two times both the times i am very much disappointed, i am yet waiting for my connection to be started. The summary is i got a call from idea manager Mr. Sahil (Mob. No. [protected]) that idea launches new facilities i am attracted towards it and gave my documents and Rs. 300/- to idea executive Mr. Jafer still 10 days
past my connection is not started. I am facing lots of problems through this will idea be responsible for my troble and my losses
why this kind of irresponsibility is showing by idea group, i have called lots of times to idea peoples but i am not getting satisfactory answer please anybody whomsoever it may concern
look into the matter and start connection immediately or return back my documents and money to me else i have to file a police compalint against idea. do it asap

Hi Sir/Madam,

I have been an Idea pre-paid customer for last 5 years. I was overall satisfied with the services from the company. Recently, i got a call from someone named Pallavi for converting my prepaid account into postpaid account. I clearly mentioned her about my excessive usage of SMS and told her to provide me with such plan. She told me about the plan where the charges for SMS would be 1 paisa per sms and i can opt for addtional rental of 98 rupees per month wherein i can get the benefit o[censored]nlimited free sms. I confirmed the same from her when the executive came on Saturday 20th Feb with the new SIM.

My number got activated on 23rd Feb. The first thing I did was that I called customer service and enquired the same from them. To my shock, everything committed to me was false and nobody was willing to provide me with any solution. For the records, i called Customer Service thrice and was provided with no solution.

Therefore, i visited Idea My-Care situated near Sahara Mall and logged a complaint stating the same. I have recieved number of calls from different Reps and all of them promise to call me back with the solution but till now, i have not been recieved any call-back from any of the Reps.

I have been overall satisfied with Idea Co. and its services but this experience has been a very unpleasant one. I want to keep my Idea number, whether prepaid or postpaid, but all I want is a good SMS pack.

I am eagerly waiting for the response from your side.

Sir, my no is [protected] & i disconnected net on my same number 6 months before as my bill amount is about 1700/- due to net on my special request that net will not activate be on my [protected] but yesterday i received bill including my net usage of 45 mb costing around 170 rs. I was shocked how net is activated on my same no. I think its fraud against customer.
