[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — Customer harassment

Dear Sir,

I was using idea number -[protected] from last 4 yrs. This year in Feb'12, i asked Idea customer care to start 3G services on my phone.As per them they activated the same in Feb end and i got the message from that it will be started next day.
But this has not happened for next 2 months and i lodged atleast 15-20 no's of complaints on Idea customer care during that time.Evert time they were assuring me that in next 3-4 days it will be resolved but that didn't happen.

To my shock at the end of that month the 3G rental amount (Rs 475) was added in my bill though i have not used 3G for a single time. I again lodged the complaint 2-3 times but no response. I paid the bill that time in sake the services will resume next month.
The next shock came in the next month when they raised the bill to Rs 2500/- I refused to pay such a hefty amount for the services i have not used the services at all. When i said i bill not pay the bill, they started calling to my friends & relatives & speaking dirty & rude language. In the mean time i changed the number to vodafone.
They harassed me like anything so i agreed to pay bill of Rs 3075/- on Jun'12. On the same day i requested them to close this number as i don't want to use it anymore.

Again on Jul'12 i got a call to pay the bill for Jun'12. I said i have not used it single time from May'12. Request you to close the number on immediate basis. They said ok we will raise the complaint.


To my utter shock, today Dt,11-sept-2012, they are again calling to my relatives & friends that i have not paid the bill of Rs 5068/- This is a big harassment for me and i want apology from idea.

Also Why should i pay any further bill as i am not using that number from last 5 months. Now i called idea customer care then they said on your request your number was temporarily closed but not permanent. No info was given to me regarding this that it is closed temporarily only.


I want a big apology from idea and to revert all the undue charges.

I hope this will reach to the senior members of idea cellular and they will come to know how a loyal customer is harassed at the lower level.
