Idea Cellular Ltd. — Non activation of Idea Number | |
I have been using Idea Prepaid No. [protected] since past 1 yr. A month back I got call from Idea([protected] & [protected]) suggesting me to get Idea Postpaid. I had already experienced a few bad customer service incidents with my Prepaid connection(Been misguided about plan for ISD calls, Got Idea Music Station renewed though I had never activated it in the first place and the Customer Service personnel were clueless, etc.), so agreed to try Idea Postpaid where they claimed I will get better customer service. I applied for the Postpaid connection via Customer Application Form with Serial No. 9323150 and furnished prescribed document and amount of money on 9th Feb 2011. I was given a Postpaid Kit with 20 Digit SIM No. as[protected]. Due to the negligence and careless attitude of the customer service personnel I was forced to write an email at ccare.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com on 20th Feb in reply to which I got an email from Parul kalra(Customer Service Desk)on 22nd Feb requesting me to send scanned copy of Customer Applicaton Form and other information. I replied back accordingly but was taken aback when I got the reply on 25th Febfrom Gaurav Sharma (Customer Service Desk)again asking for the same details which I had already provided to them. Seeing this I sent an email to the nodal officer at grievance.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com on 26th Feb to which I got a reply back from Nodal Officer Desk on 28th Feb asking me for the 20 digit SIM no.(which I had already provided to them). I again sent an email to them on 1st March along with the SIM no. I got call on 3rd March from Idea saying that I will have to visit Idea store to get my problem resolved. Since I was preoccupied with work I was able to visit the Idea Store located in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi on 7th March 2011. The customer service personnel over there gave me complaint no.[protected] and said my problem will be resolved soon. Within half an hour I got call from Neetu Kashyap requesting me to send across scanned copy of the document I had submitted as Identity/residence proof and existing Prepaid SIM at ccare.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com which I did promptly. On 8th March morning my verification was done at my residence and I was informed that my Postpaid no will get activated in midnight. Today on 9th March also I got a call from Idea asking me to send the scanned copy of my documentary proof at [protected]@gmail.com. The person said that he will give me another Idea SIM which will get activated. Now as I write this horrible ordeal with IDEA, my Postpaid no. stil remains unregistered and inactive and I feel like congratulating the cellular company for coming out with such a beautiful IDEA of harassing the customers. Yesterday morning I had got a call from Idea customer service personnel with contact no. [protected] who said that he will be coming to give another SIM which will then get activated shortly. He requested me to meet him near some Metro Station for the same. I agreed to meet him at 5 PM near AIIMS Metro Station as he had said that he will be coming from Central Secretariat Metro Station side and I had to go towards South Ex for some important work. At 5:10 PM I called him from INA Metro Station but he said he will reach there in 10 minutes. I kept on waiting for him till 5:48 PM and kept on calling him again n again but his 10 minutes never seemed to end. Ultimately I left for South Ex after informing him. Then I got his call telling me to come to INA. I requested him to come to South Ex as it was impossible for me to go back due to my important work which he did not agree and instead misbehaved.
Today I went to Idea store at Malviya Nagar where they gave me a Postpaid Sim with 20 digit no.[protected] and told that it will get activated by 3:30 PM. But even now as I write this mail at 4:40 PM it is unregistered and inactive and don't know till when it will be so, hence writing this email.
Requesting you to get my Postpaid No. [protected] activated and also please take care that my billing starts only when the SIM is with me and activated.
