[Resolved] Income Tax Department — PAN No. issued but wrong PAN No. in Income Tax database | |
Dear Sir, I, Vivek Kodesia, R/o 798, Vivek Villa Civil Lines, Mal Godown Road, Budaun, U.P. Pin 243601 was issued a PAN No. AIHPK1359h some where around 2000 or 2001. I am continuously using this PAN No. and PAN Card for all purposes of Income Tax and Bank etc. MY employer companies also deduct my TDS against this PAN No. (I have the origional PAN Card issued to me). Today i tried to register myself on the INcome Tax Department Website for e-filing of Income Tax Returns. However, i was surprised to read the message that "This PAN No do not exist in our database". Shockingly, I called the Income Tax Helpline No.[protected], which told me to call again. After certain calls the executive helped me out that MY PAN No. as per Income Tax database available to him is AGLPK9822B. I again visited the website and submitted the form for payment of Taxes on https://onlineservices.tin.nsdl.com/etaxnew/PopServlet?rKey=[protected] and filled in all details of mine with PAN No. AIHPK1359H. Surprisingly i got the message that For PAN 'AIHPK1359H' given by you above, the name as per Income Tax Department database is 'VIVEK KODESIA'. Tax credit will be effected to the said PAN name. If the name is correct, then click on "Submit to the bank" I do not know if the PAN no (as per my PAN Card) is wrong or it isw correct, how to handle these matters and if the no. is wrong in database of Income Tax Department, how it can got corrected as this year i feel there will be some tax refund.Moreover i am also not aware whom to contact in which office of Income Tax. I got my PAN card a yr back...Recently when i tried depositing a huge amount in bank, the bank folks asked my PAN number as i am about to deposit a huge amount. But i was shocked when the bank folks said that my PAN is not registered / updated properly.. Please can you investigate this and tell me the procedure what i should do ? Waiting for your ealiest reply. Thanks in advance.
TAX — Wrong PAN Number
Hi,I had entered wrong PAN in my details in our company database. Hence, the tax was credited to the wrong account only. I was wondering the mismatch between name and PAN never came out. I would now like to know what can be done to correct this and send the tax money to my right account. Please help.

Income Tax Dept — Entering wrong PAN no

Issued to me. Pl. Tell me who i get the new PAN No. Card. what is the process to get or rectify the no.

We are L & T Komatsu Employees Co-operative Thrift and Credit Society Ltd. registered in Bangalore on 02/02/1990. In May 2003, Income Tax Department, Bangalore issued PAN as AABFL7864J. We started filing our Income Tax Return Regularly and up to the A.Y 2012-13 we have e-filed ITR-5 and we encountered no problem and we can even now login to the account. For the A.Y 2013-14, we downloaded ITR-5 and started filling it up. Immediately, ITR-5 did not allow us to proceed further for the reason that PAN being invalid. How can PAN become invalid when we have been using it regularly and the Status is Active. We took up the matter with help desk in the e-filing web site for help which we could not get. They asked us to change our category as FIRM and file the ITR. If we do this, we end up losing 80P benefit and with the result we are required to pay income tax. For this, help desk suggested us to contact NSDL. We are informed by NSDL that since the PAN Card has been issued by Income Tax Department, NSDL has no data with them in this regard.
We want the matter be attended and we should be able to file our ITR-5 regularly as in the past.

Pan card — Date not uploded to Income-Tax Department
We received the PAN : AAEFD3410M, but the data is not uploded to income-tax site, due to that when we try to get registered at income-tax site they are showing error message, and not allowing to get registered.so please uplode the data of above PAN to income tax site, so we can registered ourself at income tax site for e-filing of income tax return, because for us last date of filing return is 30th sept, 2008.
