[Resolved] Income Tax office — Tax refund returned due to invalid postal address | |
Respected Sir, I would like to bring to your notice that my tax refund status for the assessment year 08-09 is shown as “Refund cheque returned undelivered by the postal department as address provided by you is incorrect” in the http://incometaxindia.gov.in/ site. The address was a temporary address and now it has changed. The address given was one in Bangalore, where I had stayed during the time of filing. Now I have moved to Kerala, as part of my job transfer. It would be difficult for me to go to the Assessing officer in Karnataka and change my address. Please initiate the refund again to my present address. I have attached the address proof along with the mail. I have sent a post regarding this earlier to the Income Tax department, but there is no response yet. Also sent mails to [protected]@incometaxindia.gov.in; [protected]@nsdl.co.in; '[protected]@incometaxindia.gov.in' Kindly please look into this at the earliest. Please let me know if I have to do anything from my side regd. this. Please let me know how I can provide my correct address or get the refund credited to the bank account, which was stated while filing itself; without going to Karnataka. I would like to bring to your notice that my tax refund status for the assessment year 09-10 is shown as “Refund cheque delivered by the postal department as address provided by you is incorrect” in the http://incometaxindia.gov.in/ site.
The address was a temporary address and now it has changed. The address given was 135WE c/o56 APO, where I had stayed during the time of filing. Now I have moved to Mathura(UP), as part of my job transfer in armed forces.. Please initiate the refund again to my present address. I have attached the address proof along with the mail.
Kindly please look into this at the earliest. Please let me know if I have to do anything from my side regd. this. my pan card no is AKWPP9003C
