This was an Email sent by me to their Customer Service Department and they have never responded to this. Please read through and don't trust their Telecallers. I am still awaiting my Order ID[protected]Philips Home Theatre).

I receieved a call from one of your Telesales Executive Mr. Alok on February 12, 2010 on my Mobile No. [protected] and he offered me a Philips 26" LCD TV for Rs.7498/- (inclusive of Taxes and Delivery charges). Initially i was reluctant to purchase as i refused to believe the Offer, however when i was enquiring details about the LCD TV and the Offer he transferred my Call to the Floor Supervisor Ms. Preeti who repeatedly assured me that India Today Book Club is offering this 26" LCD TV exclusively for esteemed members.The Call was transferred back to Mr. Alok, when i believed and agreed to purchase the LCD TV. Since i was enquiring about the specifications, my call was transferred to the Technical Department and the Call was taken by Mr. Sameer and he assured me again that it is a 26" LCD TV.

Mr. Sameer and Ms. Preeti had mentioned the Model No. PET 717. However, when i checked the Models online, i could only see a Philips Portable DVD Player and when i mentioned this to Mr. Sameer in his followup call, he mentioned confidently that this Model has been modified and we would be able to see this Model PET 717 with 26" LCD Specifications online from February 18, 2010 and as a promotional offer for members India Today Book Club is offering it at Rs.7498/-. I believed this and also purchased a Philips Home Theatre along with 26" LCD TV.

I made Credit Card Payments for Rs.7498/- for Order ID[protected] and Rs.7598/- for Order ID[protected]. Please note that they also refused to give me the Order ID after the Payment was through and they mentioned that my Order ID and the Product specifications for Philips 26 Inches LCD TV and the Philips Home Theatre System would be sent by an Auto generated Email within 5 Minutes after i booked the Order. Initially, Mr. Alok & Mr. Sameer had promised me that the Order ID would be given to me once i finish the Credit Card Transaction and after the Transaction, they said that i would receive it in an Email. I could get my Order IDs only after calling up your Helpline No.

I received a Philips Portable DVD Player along with a Free Reebok Watch instead of Philips 26" LCD TV through Courier and would like to return the Consignment. Please note that i have not received the Philips Home Theatre till date. I would also like to return the Home Theatre (If i receive a Home Theatre) even though it was promised to me because of the "Unethical Sales Practice". I would like to inform you, that i am from International Service Industry and i have been Involved in Sales and Service for the past 10.5 Years. I have always taken strict action on my Employees when i encounter such Unethical Practices.

I called your Helpline No. today and one Mr. Neeraj Kashyap had suggested me to return the Products and send an Email to this Group address for prompt action. Please note that i would be sending these to your Address mentioned below as suggested by Mr. Neeraj Kashyap.

I would like to request you to kindly revert the Money paid by me to the Credit Card Account at the earliest along with the Courier Charges borne by me to return this Philips Portable DVD Player and the Philips Home Theatre (If i receive it).

I have got high regards for your group and appreciate your efforts and would expect your goodself to kindly look into this "Greviance" and take appropriate measures to avoid such cases in future.

India Today Book Club — non receipt of Philips home theater purchased against offers

i received promotional offer by ITBC thru irctc site to purchase a Phillips DVD and home theater system worth Rs7598 along with free holiday and a free Reebok wristwatch, which i availed after paying online by SBI card on 08/09/2009. i received an SMS giving the order no as[protected] and an e-mail giving the order no as M-COMMERCE / 0GA[protected]. for any queries, i was asked to contact [protected]. After somedays, i recevied another printed form to join the sweepstakes for Rs 800000 and a promotinal offer to purchase a discounted "History of the World". i sent the filled up form for the sweepstakes only. Almost a month has passed without any further communication regarding my merchandise and nobody is available to provide assistence on the given phone number. Kindly assist as this matter is causing me great mental hardship and i have vowed never to make any more online purchases.

Indiatoday book club/Phillips DVD player with Home theater system — Non receipt of Items after making payments by card

Sir,

I have purchased Phillips DVD player with HomeTheater system for Rs: 7589.00 on promotional offers by Indiatoday book club, Delhi. Payments of above itmes has been made and confirmation of Payments received has been made . Company has provided IVR No :[protected] on 26th Jan 10. Mail for non receipt of above items has been send and reply says its under process.

Till date no information has been provoded when the Items purchased will be delivered at my adress already given while booking the item.

Request to look in to the matter.

India Today Book Club — Not received the Philips home theatre & DVD player from last 1 years

I booked one philips home theatore & dvd play er by paying Rs. 7500 from last 3 November 2009 but still waiting for the delivery of the items.
I requested many times for the same and number of times committed by the representative that they sending this week . but already year passed

so please don't booked any order from the INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB.
