[Resolved]  Indian Postal Department — KVP before maturity encashed by unknown persons through cheque.

I have paid Rs.30,000/- to Asst. Post Master, Andheri ( w), Mumbai, Maharashtra state 400052 , near railway station Andheri ( w) on 04/01/2005 made single application in my sons name Mst. Yashas Karanth DOB.28/04/2003 and made my wife Mrs. Sridevi karanth as Guardian and signed the application form by her. They have issued 6 certificates of 5,000/- each. While collection of KVP i have not noticed the number of certificates. Last year I thought of breaking the certificates and put in nationalised banks for higher returns. On approaching them they check the application and told me one certificate is missing from entire lot from 12 bc[protected] and refused to surrender informing that certificate no. is missing no. 149129.
I informed him that we have not encashed the certificates and asked him cheque details so that I can Lodge police complaint. Please help me to solve the problem how the postal department issued cheque in the name of third party and how it got encashed by the party without proof of account.
