Railways — side middle berth

I had got my ticket from internet where it was asked for choice of berth and I ticked lower and I was alloted seat no 17. I was happy as I was not permitted to carry heavy luggage and climb upstairs by doctor as I had an operation.

When I got on the train KANCHENJUNGA on 22.5.2009 from guwahati I found the compartment of nine seats in a coupe and not eight. In this case my seat was side middle instead of lower as thought. I was forced to travel on that side middle and also I had to shift my luggage also.

I had to face a big mental tension. Please suggest what to do

I have read in news papers that side middle berth is removed in Garib Raths.But when i booked ANVT - SPJ Garib rath train tickets i was allotted side middle berth.MY SEAT NO IS G12-59, PNR NO IS [protected] TRAIN NO 12570 DATED 17/092013Side middle berths are so inconvenient and uncomfortable.middle age, old age persons cannot climb to that berth.Taller persons cant sleep.it is very uncomfortable for those person whose side lower seat is alloted.on the whole that side birth is uncomfortable as well as for all aged people but no action is going to take regarding this problem by the railway ministry as well by the high official of railways

Please ensure that Railways remove this side middle berth option which causes inconvenience to passengers. take it as your personal matter.Keep yourself as a common people travelling and alloted the side middle birth.
