[Resolved]  Indigo Airlines — Mobile phone missing

I travelled by Indigo Flight 6E-141 on 17th October 2012 from Delhi to Bangalore (Seat 10-A), which arrived at Bangalore by 3:15pm. I had switched off my cell phone as per the in-flight instructions and kept it in the seat pocket. I forgot to take out my cell phone while disembarking the plane at Bangalore.

I got to know of this gaffe by the time I reached the exit gate, then I contacted Mr. Manish (Assistant Manager, Indigo) and informed him of the problem. He checked with the staff and reported that no cellphone was found, but the plane was on the way from BLR to HYD and would be checked again at Hyderabad. I waited at the airport for the confirmation and then was informed after 1.5 hours that cell phone was not found.

But, today I got a call from my relative that Google Latitude shared location (when the phone must have been switched on) was updated yesterday in Bangalore.

I suspect foul play on the part of Indigo cleaning staff and would like to seek for a reply from Indigo airlines as to how did the switched off phone in the flight was flicked out of the plane.

I have registered a complaint at the BIA Police station and would name the suspect as Indigo flight cleaning staff.
