Indraprastha Apollo Hospital — Dr. sushil kumar jain - a cheater

Hi

My aunt was having redness in her left breast and we took her to apollo opd.
There she met dr. Sushil kumar jain. She was showing all symptoms of cancer and ideally should have been transferred to a cancer hospital. But dr. Sushil kumar jain didn't refer her to a cancer doctor. He is a general surgeon and not a cancer specialist. Just for the greed of money and earning more he continued the treatment like biopsy surgery etc.
Ideally she should have been treated by an oncologist. At the last moment she was referred to an oncosurgeon. Sushil kumar is an unethical doctor. Later we came to know that his colleague doctors at apollo delhi also do not approve of his greed for treating diseases he is not qualified for.
This is a case of medical negligence , where dr. Sushil kumar jain has cheated the patient by impersonating as a cancer specialist till other doctors called his bluff.
He is a cheater and should be thrown out of the hospital.
Shame on dr. Sushil kumar jain.

Although it happens many times that people are not satisfied with services provided in any sector, health in itself takes a very important role as it becomes a part of living being itself above all material comforts. I have been to many hospitals in NCR and being a doctor myself I find it surprising that hospitals avoid putting their doctors qualifications on their board. This leads to unsuspecting people landing up in consultation with a general surgeon or medicine specialist when they have asked for a DMD or MCH and paid for it.

In above case the name of hospital will be tarnished if the statement is true that treating doctor was not a oncologist or onco surgeon, when patient was expecting it to be. Although I believe that Apollo has quite strict internal quality control but if such cases of dissent come across frequently then it will loose market.

Also it would be great if every hospital had it's doctors name with qualification on its board.
This is an example of competition between the doctors to capture more patients.
Most hospitals are now shifting towards a mode where doctors pay the rent o[censored]sing the facilities in the hospitals and in turn the good doctors at the hospital attract more patients which helps hospital earn from patients for its services. Some hospitals also provide a commission for number of patients a doctor is able to get in the
Hospitals are also corporate entities which need profits to function properly and efficiently, so is the case with a doctor. There is no harm in hospitals and doctors earnings profits and compete for more patients. However in this competition many doctors forget their ethics and try to treat even those patients which need a specialist. This is a sad state of affairs. Mr. Das in your case dr. sushil jain should have referred the patient immediately to a competent specialist. But then he would have lost the fee and commissions he made from your aunt's treatment.
I agree with Mr. Tripathi that Doctor's qualification and area of expertise should be displayed at the counters. Doctor is definitely not ethical, but even your hospital is no less. Last month a report mentioned that Apollo hospital had got their land for Rs 1 from tax payer's money on pretext that it treats one third of patients for free (poor patients). Have you ever seen a single poor patient getting treated at Apollo?
This is India, you need to accept the fact :)
Dude Not only this doctor is greedy for money. He is greedy for $ex too. He had been accused of rape by a nurse in Apollo hospital and when pregnant mother took him to task, he claimed that he 'might' be father of the child.

Shameless doctor in a Shameless hospital.
he is a nyc doctor
Mr. Das ! Sushil is really a bad person and he is very cheater and he shouldnt be visited by patients he is like a donkey and monkey greedy to money and bothering people . .bye
I don't feel that Dr Jain has not followed the Medical Procedure, gone are those days when things were processed without any Medical Test, He has indeed followed the right procedure for test and did recommend to oncologist.
He has done no harm to the patient nether some thing unethical. It is very unfotunate to write something aginst Dr. Jain he is one of the most renowed and most helpful doctors at Apollo Delhi. Lastly not to forget he is a Living "God for the Patients", if it was greed for money why would he give discounts to the patients who cannot afford Apollo. It is unethical to write against Dr Jain, a doctor of High Reputation.I have meet Dr Sushil Kumar jain when he has operated the Honorable Home Minister of India( Mr P Chidambaram), i found to be humble doctor with great Moral values and the same doctor has operated my wife and after that i have reccomended lot of patients and none of the patients have any complaints against Dr Jain.

With due respect to all your feedbacks, even I would like to share my experience. My friend was also a victim of such negligence but after he had filed his complaint in http://www.apollohospitals.com/feedback.php, his problem was immediately addressed by the Apollo Management Team. Problems crop up everywhere but its just that we have to be informed where & whom to approach.
What about the cabinet Energy minister P R Kumarmangalam died due to Medical negligence by the doctors of indraprastha apollo hospital Delhi.

Patient generally go to Apollo not see any doctor and thinks that it is apollo which will take care of the patient not any single doctor. All doctors should collectively try to save the patient, i[censored]nmanageable should refer to other hospital or should consult from other specialists also, since live of patients are more important than the money.
In this regard my experience is that doctors at apollo are are greedy keeps commercial attitude and are of low calibre, men of straw.
Dear friends,
Very easy to say that the doctor is cheater or medical negligence, but not a single doctor want to harm his patient. When you are coming to doctor, you are coming with faith & believe. And always doctor wants to treat with best of his knowledge.
Above mentioned case, If the aunt come to a Gen surgeon, than Surgeon has absolute right that a patient is suffering from oncological problem or not.
So there is no negligence
We all must respect doctors, they are just like a God not God, God also not give every time what you want.
Thank u.

My father was treated by Dr SK Jain. He was operated for Hernia on 13th February 2014.
Dr SK Jain was extremely forthcoming and helpful, helping ease the burden on the family. The surgery itself was minimally invasive, a testimony to the technical expertise that Dr SK Jain possesses.
I should also mention his advise post the operation, which is something that most other medical professionals tend to regard as unimportant. The doctor ensured that the patient was put to no trouble and personally elucidated the intake of medicines for recovery. I would highly recommend him.

I would also thank Apollo hospital, New Delhi for providing access to world-class facilities in India. The professionalism of the staff was commendable.

A big Thank You to Dr SK Jain and Apollo Hospital.
Good Doctor or cash Doctor!!!
Patient who are so much worried about their life due to their illness which may differ from patient to patient..with high hope of survival and full of recovery, some patient are not wealthy enough to afford the demands from the hospital bills etc.. Apart from this it is very well learned from many patients and relatives, some of the Doctors were interested only for a sum of money but not for the life of desperate patients... I wonder what on earth is going on.. If those doctor or his/her family were in desperate situation and treated them in this way ..what should they feel about it.. Think it over again, no need to mention their names for this time.. Greedy Doctor= same as inhuman ISIS. What will be the judgement of GOD upon you...
Plus Lack of punctuality...
Dear patient and all, don't hesitate to meet higher authority for complaining the concern doctor..
recently, i'm still waiting for it because one of my family member is under their treatment and supervision. their treatment outcome will serve me for any condition.. Best of luck to you all...
