[Resolved]  Indraprastha Gas Limited — Imposition of additional service charge

As mentioned on IGL’s Bill, an amount of Rs.5 has to be paid by those who make use of the Easy Bill outlets for payment of gas bills. However, the outlet at the Sector 4 Market of Dwarka is charging an additional Rs.5 (i.e. they are realizing Rs.10 from each customer). According to them, “Rs.5 is for the company and Rs.5 for us”. This is nothing short of extortion. In fact, IGL should not even have charged the Rs.5 from sus in addition to the billed amount. This should be a normal part of customer service. The additional Rs.5 being claimed is totally unwarranted and illegal.

This needs to be addressed urgently the errant easy bill outlet prevented from charging this additional Rs. 5 (over and above the Rs. 5 being charged by IGL) from the consumers.
