[Resolved] Irctc — TDR Refund Rejected | |||||
Hi, I had booked TO n FRO tatkal tickets from IRCTC website, PNR details listed below... Journey 127/2013 : BCT - SUNR - [protected] Return Journey 13/7/2013 : SUNR - BCT - [protected] ( Boarding VG ) TDR :ekt[protected], ekt[protected] The train from BCT supposed to leave 12/7 at 8:25pm got delayed by 9hrs on 13/7 at 5:45.. As my return journey was on 13/7 ( same day of late departure ) I filed for a TDR for both TO n FRO journey as the delayed train would reach the destination on 13/7 at 4:30pm and my return train was scheduled to departure at 7:30pm and I can't afford to complete the work and catch the train... Now in reply to the TDR filed, IRCTC says that confirmed tatkal tickets cannot have a refund for the return journey... This just doesn't make any sense as the cancellation was because of the late departure of the train from BCT and not from my part... Therefore i would request some from IRCTC or Western Railway to look into this matter and get me the refund processed for both journey's... Chetan Jain Was this information helpful? | |||||

IRCTC tickets — TDR Refunds
Sir,The IRCTC has got a unique way of doing fraud with customers who file for TDR.
It has happened with me twice for a e-ticket which i cancelled after the charts were prepared.
They have a very simple reply stating that the customers had travelled.
One for PNR No. [protected] of which the message i have attached below and one for PNR No. [protected].

IRCTC — DELAY IN REFUND OF TDR FILED.
SIR,I HAVE FILED TDR ON 25TH AUGUST2011, FOR REFUND OF TICKECT NOT CONFIRMED & NOT TRAVELLED.REF NO. ect[protected] & PNR NO.[protected].
AFTER LOT OF EFFORTS IT WAS CLEARED BY CENTRAL RAILWAY, MUMBAI VIDE FILE NO. 40/81/11/12E5.
FOR THIS I HAVE TAKLED SO MANY TIMES BUT NOBODY IS REPLYING FOR THE PAYENT.
AS PER THE IRCTC RULE REFUND SHOULD BE SETTELED MAX. WITHIN 90 DAYS.
MY TDR IS FILED ON 25TH AUG2011, HOWEVER THE REFUND IS NOT YET BEEN GIVEN.
MAY KINDLY DIRECT THE CONCERN TO REFUND ON PRIORITY,
N G CHAVAN.

I had to board the train on 25/Nov/16 @ 12:55 AM from ALD, Train was late more than 25 hrs, I had done the cancellation on 25.Nov.2016 @ 15:36:52
Train reached the ALD station on 26 /Nov/ 02:30 AM
Why there is such status in IRCTC for no refund. I want my full refund on immediate basis.
All the necessary docs are attached for the ref.

IRCTC — IRCTC - TDR Refund
Hi,I have booked an i-ticket, and journey date being 10-Nov-2007 (Vizag to Mumbai CSTM, 3A). On the date of journey, since my ticket status was in WL, i had cancelled the ticket, as guided by TICKETING OFFICER, in Visakhapatnam.
The original ticket was deposited there and the TDR receipt was sent by Blue Dart courier to Chief Commercial Manager (Claims & Refunds), E.Co.Railway, Bhubaneswar on 27-Nov-2007. After the scanned copy of TDR receipt to IRCTC ([protected]@irctc.co.in) on 20-Feb-2008.
Since that date i have called serval times to IRCTC TDR contact centre, sent serveral mails and there is no response. Every time i get to hear that reminders have been sent to the concerned, but there is no action. Even i have got physcial copies of those reminders but they do not help.
God knows who can help me in this. The refund process is disgusting & hopeless.
Please do the needful.
