[Resolved] Kotak Mahindra Bank — Kotak Bank - Salary Account
I am Harirambabu M R, opened salary account in Kotak bank on June 2011.
Saving A/C Number: [protected]
Before opening the account, Kotak bank representatives given lot of good information(but really, all are fake) about the bank.
But after opened the account , i faced the following issues.
1. I have given the request to change my mobile number - They took 3 months to change the mobile number.
2. When i want to do online transaction, Most of the times kotak online bank server is down.
3. "Kotak Bank" is not added in many of the merchant transactions.
4. Kotak employees assured that "No NEFT charges for all transactions". But they started detecting NEFT charges after 6 months of opening the account.
5. After 1 year, they detected Rs700+ for demat charges. Actually i never ever activated and used the Demat account. And i have not seen the instructions how to use demat account in kotak bank.
6. No clear idea of how the Saving account linked Fixed deposit interest calculation.
7. Customer care: Worst experience. Waste... Useless....Better they can change the name instead of "customer care". No proper/correct information provided by them. One example, i asked about ATM card annual charges for my salary account. They told Rs500+. and then i told them that when i was opening the account , kotak representatives told no ATM annaul charge. Then customer care peoples replied that there is no ATM annual charge for your account. No correct info....We cannot able to believe the words from customer care.
8.After all worst experiences, i decided to close the kotak account and sent the mail to them to close the account after 1.5 years of using kotak account.
9. I changed the salary account to other bank. When the salary is not credited in kotak account, they started detecting account-maintanence charge.
10. While opening salary account in kotak, kotak representatives told that if the salary credited for 6 months in kotak salary account , then you can use the kotak saving account of zero maintenance, even without crediting the salary.
Actually more than 1 year, salary is credited in my kotak account. But still they are detecting maintenance charge.
11.Finally i thought to give the request to close the account by directly going to bank branch. It is difficult to find the Kotak bank branch. The branches are very less.
12. I spend half day of my working hours to give the closure request to koramangala kotak branch, bangalore. Actually i asked to give acknowledgement for receiving the account closure form. They told it will not be given, and your account will be closed.
13.After 1 month, i got the call from Kotak. They told that the closure form what you filled is the old one, with that form your account can not be closed.
Actually i get the account closure form from kotak bank branch , kormangala and given there itself and again kotak people are calling and telling that form is old one.
14. I forget to add one more, i have requested for kotak credit card while opening the salary account. But till last 2 years, i never received the kotak credit card. Every 2 months once, kotak creditcard representatives used to call for verification. But they never sent the credit card till now.
Really frustrated after facing all the issues.
Actually the above issues are very less. If collect the issues from other kotak consumers, it will be more and more.
My only request:
I don't want the refund of demat charges which is taken from me. Just close my kotak saving account and demat account.
Please don't waste my time and money.
