[Resolved]  Lenovo Y510 — Hinge Broken

I bought a Lenovo Y510 series laptop from Croma store on 3rd August 2008. I had also purchased an extended warranty of 2 years along with it. The extended warranty details were included in my invoice and I was not given any further information/document to subtantiate the purchase of extended warranty.

On 25th Aug 2009, I faced a problem in opening the laptop. It was a problem of the hinges and there was a gap when I tried to open the flap. I called Lenovo service centre and they informed me that the merchant (Croma) did not send any details of the extended warranty, hence they will be unable to assist. I then called Croma and they directed me to an 'extended service warranty' toll free number. On calling them, they asked us to walk into a Lenovo Service Centre where it would be repaired. I did as told and reached the centre at Law College Road (very far from where I stay). There, I was informed that they will not be able to help as they did not have any record of the extended warranty. I then went back to Croma where they said they'll contact the extended warranty helpdesk (which was closed on Sunday) tomorrow and then revert. In the meanwhile, they asked us to try the extended warranty helpdesk number again and lodge a complaint with them.

I called them yet again and one resource named Himanshu Udeshi was extremely rude to me and refused to log a complaint saying that this will not be covered under extended warranty. Now I am helpless and dont know whom to go to for help. I have been running from pillar to post for getting my laptop repaired. This despite having had the foresight to purchase extended warranty from the vendor. I am very dissapointed with the kind of customer service Croma is offering and vow never to purchase any product from them going ahead.

am using a lenovo(y 510) notebook for past 6 months this is under garrenty period also.in this the cd rom is not responting now.please help me to solve the problem.

Lenovo — parts (lower hinge)

i have a model y510.And due to some cause the lower hinge had broken.And i could find the parts anywhere even in service centre, internet and also ask for toll free number.plz give the suggestion where could i get the parts. my laptop is in warranty.

lenovo/lenovo Y510 laptop — my laptop warranty is not upgraded

hi my name is Shashi, s, latti from manglore.I bought a new lenovo Y510 (49, 760 Rs) Laptop on 2, jun, 2008( last year ) from MANHARS in manglore. when i was purchasing laptop there was offer on it. As per the offer the warranty has to be upgraded 1 year to 3 years and a puma kit. when i try to register my laptop by online i got one error that the product has been already registered. then i informed this error to MANHARS. they also tried but got the same result.i requesed so many time to MANHARS as well as lenovo care center but i did not get any response from ther side.

After waiting for a week when I didn't receive their call, I called
up the service center to which they said that the document and redamation code had not
recieved and once again i sent to the channel technology.After 3 weeks i got one call from care supporty and he said that they are going to upgrade laptop warranty soon...now laptop warranty has exspire. when i ask about this to the channel technology they said that they had not recieved my documents and sorry we can not upgrade warranty and provide you puma kit.

so please help in this matter

from delhi on date[protected] offering extended warranty of laptop.Vandana ji have discussed me on phone about extended warranty.As per suggestion i"ve sent 4500/- vide cheque no. 195617 from a/c no [protected] (in SBI golghar branch gorakhpur ) .The cheque was in favour of "R.T.outsourcing services Ltd." a/c no[protected].The cheque was deposited in ICICI BANK GORAKHPUR BR. The cheque no 195617 has been debited to my a/c on[protected].The s/n of my laptop is ABQ0025916.Now I am sorry to say that till now I have not got the so called extended warranty.What type of cheating is this ? pl take necessory action about this &inform me.

Lenovo Y510 — cd ROM not working

Hi,

I have lenovo Y510 laptop bought last year. Earlier my CD ROM was working properly but now its not working its not picking up the CD please help.

I had the same problem but made the mistake thinking it was my kids that did it. I should have read these posts sooner. I bought mine in Jun08 and it broke Apr09. What I did was cut the one hinge that was broke again thinking my kids did it. That was ok for awhile but now the other hinge broke (about 4 months later). Anyhow needless to say I'm not supporting or buying another Lenovo product as well TigerDirect whom I bought it from basically said tough luck. So they are off my list of places to shop.

Dear Sir/Mam,
I wish to rebring in your kind notice that I am not satisfied with services of lenove services.

I purchased my laptop(Y 510 52q, S.n. abq0026300) at feb 2008. During my default warranty period i.e. 1 year, services of lenevo service centers were quite satisfactory. After I extended my warranty period purchasing care pack. From that very time till now I am not satisfied with services of lenevo. I have logged my calls many times and reported at scheduled time & place, but still non of engineer is able to fix my problem and satisfy me up to the mark. I had a word with Mr. Steve Culhane also. He assured me fix my problem ASAP. But a week has already passed, my problem is not sorted out. My laptop is getting deteriorated day by day, because unsealing & sealing of machinery many times. I am not able to work with it now. Every day almost Rs.[protected] occurs in my business daily due to my damaged laptop. Only Lenovo is responsible for the same. Neither of part of my machinery is working properly.

Mr. Sudeep Saxena & Jatinder Nagar are also giving me plateau. They are also not ready to listen or sort out my problem. Now I need direct response from company in clear words if Company will do something against my complaint or it is not able to do same.

lenovo notebook,Y510 — regarding my warranty extension

I have taken my warranty in the month of april,2009. At that time also i got my warranty extension pack after one month approx as i had applied for the warranty extension pack approximately one month ago.And now after approximately six months they are telling me that my warranty extension pack is not registered though i had taken already two -three services on this pack.And they told me to reproduce me my invoice copy of warranty extension pack and certificate regarding the pack.I have sent the documents atleast 20 times at their gievn mail id i.e. [protected]@lenovowarranty.co.in and also [protected]@lenovowarranty.co.in and everytime they tell me that did not recieved the mail.And i am unable to register my laptop complaint now even after purchasing the warranty extension pack .All the employees in the lenovo customer care are just keep me telling to call here and there and i found no solution from their side.They are just keep me waiting and doing nothing from their side.I am tired now that even after purchasing my warranty pack i am unable to use it i don't know for what reason????????/

also can you please let me know maximum up to how many years from the purchage date of the laptop we can undertake the insurance serviceses.it is better i[censored] will explain all the terms and conditions to my email_id.

i bought a lenovo laptop 11 months ago. Now there is a noise in the opening of flap. And when i went to the lenovo service center in nehru place they told me that the parts are out of stock because this problem persists in almost
every laptop of y 510 series
now what should i do ?????
I bought this Lenovo Y510 in July 2008 and it has been off my desk less than a dozen times. I noticed that the hinge was binding and opening the case each time I opened the screen. I agree that it must be a problem with the design. as I'm off warranty the cost to replace the hinge is over $250 with shipping. Thanks but if it's a defect in the design please admit it and replace the thing for free. Tiger direct would replace the hinge with a used one for $170 but come on. Lenovo is not responding.

I have bought 2 Y510 laptops and am facing same problem with both the laptops let us All Y510 users contact each other and jointly take lenovo to consumer court

Lenovo A6000 not working -Incident: 160518-001784

I have purchased Lenovo A6000 on 9th may and after two day i am network issues.. now i not getting range... Same SIM card working on handset without any issues... Last 9 days i try to contact toll free but no reply... even based on service center they closed their service for lenovo ...
