i am writing my painful experience with LG service which i had this year.I am from chennai.
We had a fault with our LG 29 inch TV and had called the LG customer care.They took down our request and gave a ref
no. The next day a technician representing LG came to check the TV. LG has outsourced their service to third party
agencies and are not undertaking serice on their own. This person ( name GIRI ) has come from a agency called golden
enterprises in kolathur area of chennai. He did the service and said that there is a fault which requires a
IC to be replaced. he said that LG will take 15 days to get it fixed with new IC and will charge 3000.He asked not
to approach LG again and he will fix it in 2 days for 1800 rupees. he fixed it and in 10 days the fault had appeared
again. we called him and he came after 2 weeks of repeated calling. we lost a big amount of talktime calling this
guy. he came and told that he need to take the board to his home as he had special devices at home for service. he
vanished and did not appear for many days. we kept calling him every day and he was least bothered. we called up the
agency and spoke to his manager mr swaminathan who said this guy has left the company a month before. Mr swaminathan
ha sbeen giving the leads for service to this guy and they seem to share the profit. Upon repeated calling mr
swaminathan said that he cannot do anything. we then told we would approach LG.He then said he would approach LG
officals and complain that i had tried to employ the technician forcefully and treathening him to do the service,
violating the company norms.
I then realised i had been cheated by the worst ever service experience from a brand called LG.
If you call LG for service make sure you dont get a fraud agency employed by LG. Please be aware. I would
not say LG products are bad,they are really good,but they are a company who tortures customers with
a fraud service.
