My parents bought a split AC from M/s Gangotri Electronics . While purchasing the ac they asked the capacity of the ac that will be ideal for a room of 10ft x 12 ft capacity and were adviced that one tonne capacity would be sufficient. The same was purchased and their engineers came and installed it. However on switching on the the AC the cooling was not proper there was a drop of one degree in the temperature from 30 degree to 29 degree after that there was no cooling. The same was brought to the knowledge of the LG service agent who came and said that the gas is low. The dealers men came and filled the gas and also told that the propblem was not with the gas but else where as no cooling was achieved. The regional service center Dehradun was contacted and they in turn sent the local LG service agent again. Again gas was filled and current drawn which was initially low (4,0 amp ) in place of printed and recommended 5.3amp) checked. the agent spent 3 hr but no cooling was envisaged. Instead of accepting the the ACis defective, they put the blame on the room size and said the room was big. I had gone to LG site (tonnage calculator) and showed that the recommended tonnage even for a room sizr of 140 sq ft is one tonne and that the room size is not the reason. The regional service agent just gave a blank reply :
We want to inform you that company takes best care while giving the details in the internet but sometime the actual conditions like light load, temperature, ambience may differ & not same as the users conditions.
I fail to understand the margin of error in their calculation. I have taken up this matter with the customer care center with no reply.
I have invested a lot of money to fix a white elephant on my wall.
LG service and affect care service is the poorest i have ever come across
