I placed an order yesterday(28 May2010) for a LG Refrigerator Model No:368YTQG4 for 350litres to your Bhopal dealer "Perfection"of CSD items of LG. Paid the Cost to him. Today dealer sent the refrigerator. Outer packing reflects correct model No as agreed. However. after removing the packing it was found that the model supplied is cheaper one,ie,LG365YMQG4. On contacting, the dealer said that it being a CSD(I) supply the packed content was supplied by the company. So as per his advice i made a complaint to your office. Complaint No:C[protected]. Kindly get the refrigerator model replaced with the correct model at the earliest. you may also get the case thoroughly investigated as it adversely affects the reputation of your company.

Packed Refrigerator Received at about 1900 on 29/05/10. Only Trolley wallah brought it. Dealer’s/ LG Company men were to follow. On being queried on telephone theDealer “Perfection” said that LG Mechanics would come on Monday since they have Sunday Off. Advised me that I could open the packing and plug in if I wanted. On removing the packing we found that neither the model No nor the serial No of the machine tallied. Rang up the Dealer & sought an explanation. He said that the packed refrigerator was received in the same condition from the Company & was sent to my residence without checking. He advised me to lodge complaint with the Company at Toll Free No:[protected]. I did so.

    I have 4 LG split ACs at my home in T2/404, Uniworld Gardens, Sohna Road, Gurgaon. I had lodged a complaint on 18th May 2010. The complaint was regarding a short circuit and a small fire in the outside unit of one of the split ACs that I have. The complaint number was c[protected].

    The response from the service centre in Gurgaon has been downright irresponsible and pathetic. The service engineer, name Rajvir, had called on 19th May and had visited my residence to understand the complaint. He said that there was no major problem, but it would be advisable for the unit to be taken to the LG workshop for clean-up and re-fitting of some wires that had been burnt.

    The unit was collected by the workshop people on 22nd May, and then delivered to me on 26th May. At each stage, I had to call up several times to several different people, requesting and pleading to get the work done. Each time I called, I would be given a new number and was asked to speak to some new guy.

    After the unit was delivered to me on 26th May, I was told that the service engineer would come and install the unit. The delivery guys didn't give any explanation on what the problem was, whether or how it has been repaired, nor did they explain how the AC can be installed/fitted to start working again. No one came on 27th or 28th. Today, on 29th, when I called up the customer care number, I was told that the complaint has been closed!!

    The customer care telecaller refused to register any grievance or complaint about this, saying there is no such facility available. I had to register a fresh product complaint (c[protected]) to have the same 11-day old problem solved.

    I don't know whether writing here will solve the problem.. I hope it will.

    sir, maine lg splet ac kharida[protected] ko ek mahine baad usse water licage aur bhap nikalna shuru hogaya. baar baar complent per eng aakar thic kar gaya. pandra din baad phir wahi shuru ho gaya.phirr eng aakar thic kar gaya har pandhra din per ye silsila suru hi tha ...phir mahine baad problem bad gaya
    maine replace ko kaha .eng kaha ripair kar ke thik ho jayega...mere replace ko najar andaj kar ripair kar ke laga diye. do mahine baad water licage aur bhap nikalna shuru hogaya...wo ab tak chalo hai..
    mai complet pe complet kar ke tang aa gaya ho.

    ye sare lg ke product hum use karte hai...kya ? hum aage logo ko lg kharidne ki salha de ya nahi aap jawab do...?????/??????????

      Hi,
      I have register my complaint on LG customer care for my LG TV. My request id is C[protected] this. My LG TV is still in the warranty period. I got a call form LG service engineer. But LG service engineer is forcing me to pay the service charge to solve this request over the phone, I told him that my tv is in 3 years warranty period interval so i will not pay the service charge. Again i call on customer care they are say that service engineer should not get the service charge if your is in the warranty period.but that guy is not ready to solve my complaint. I have all the documents of my TV. Could you please help me to solve this request.

      Service Engineer is not responding positively.

      Dear Sir,
      I have register my complaint on LG customer care for my LG AC. My LG AC is still in the warranty period. I got a call form LG service engineer. But LG service engineer is not has positive response to solve mt problem there is a problem of Capaciter not working he said that i will done it tomorrow but after 3 days left there is no response enginneer cell no is- [protected], we will ready to pay service charges and parts cost, so plz follow up the matter in your level.

        My refrigrator of LG Model A one was suffering from less cooling. On my complaint LG India changed the Compressor on payment of Rs.3700/- in August, 2009 through its authorised firm New Alfa Electro Services, Shop No. 406, Sector-32-D, chandigarh. A guarantee of one year was provided for this refrigerator. The same problem has again been occured only after 9 months. Authorised firm New Alfa Electro Services, Shop No. 406, Sector-32-D, Chandigarh is not providing its services properly. It is deficiency in service on the part of the authorised firm as well as LG India.

        LG, Refrigerator — Damage, Bad Service

        I Ankit Varshney, buy a LG Product (Refrigerator) from Electronic Craft B-4 Kanti Nagar Extn. Delhi-110051, they send me damage and two products are misplaced on the first day, i registered a complaint, they are not take any action, Product Invoice No is R1099.

          Hi,

          This is with reference to the servicing of my LG 1.5 Ton Window AC. In this regard, my 3rd free servicing was booked vide ID No. C[protected] on 12th May 2010. The service engineer attended the servicing, however, besides cleaning the filter he did not do anything. I asked him to clean the AC from inside and check as to why the water is not coming out from the rear outlet. But he did not do anything. However, he was very keen to sell the AMC for extended warranty as the same was expiring on 18th May 2010. Due to the above, I had placed a complaint for the same vide ID no. C[protected] on 17th May 2010. However, no one attended the servicing. Again, I had placed a request on 22nd May 2010 vide ID No. C[protected] and had got a call from the service enginner today. The service enginner flatly refused to attend the servicing free of cost and asked to visit only in case I want to get the paid servicing. Now I just want to share the above with you in order to bring to your knowledge the harassment being faced by a customer after buying a LG product. Till the time the services are free, the service enginner will just clear the filters which a normal person can do by himself. As soon as the warranty is over, you will get the class services as LG will get money out of it. The 3rd free service was given to me with which I was not at all satisfied, however, the same shall be redone by LG now but at the cost of the customer. Request you to kindly stop this free service campaign as it is of no use at all. Kindly provide me an escalation matrix with email ID's and contact numbers to report the above to higher people.

          Samsung Window Air Conditioner — INFERIOR QUALITY DEFECTIVE AC

          I have bought a 1.5 Ton A/C of Samsung 2 years back and it has been giving me problems since purchase. I have written to the company, but they dont seem to be bothered at all to replace or take responsibilty for the product. PLEASE DONT BUY A/C from this company unless you want to pay the cost of the A/C for repairs.

          LG 1.5 ton window air-conditioner — Defective product, pathetic service

          I have had the misfortune of purchasing an 1.5 tonne A.C (window type) from LG make on 7-June-2009. On installation, the remote was found to be defective and not working. The service personnel entrusted with installation had informed the dealer. Next day I was told by the local dealer, a complaint was registered and complaint # N9C60705861, however a service personel only bothered to call up on 11-June -09 evening after the lapse of 4 working days. He just arrived and inspected the remote, confirmed that it was not working( quite obvious!) and told he will get back in another 2 days time ! So till today(15-June-09) after 9 more days we are yet to get that defective remote replaced ! Moreover the attitude of the service personnel was totally unprofessional and rude and was behaving in a manner as if he was doing me some favour !!! I have numerous other electronic appliances including refrigerator, washing m/c and TV from Samsung and other makes and have had quite a pleasant response and quick turnaround from them. However, I made this decision unilaterally as my other family members insisted on a Samsung and now I have to suffer ! LG customer care is also vague with their response and handed me a mobile number of a certain person in Kolkata(Ms. Swagata) who never answers the phone !!! So much for customer service !!! Wonder what will happen when AC breaks down sometime soon(as can be gauged from their inferior quality product) and then I may need to run pillar to post to get the damn thing working !
          Disgusting service from LG and very low quality products from LG. I will never ever purchase another LG product and would insists others to consider before buying any LG Product.

          LG service is really pathetic, i will not buy any LG product again!!
          Same case with me, i raised defect companint with LG thrice and everytime got assurance that it will be attended within 24 hrs but there has been no action since 1 week.
          LG service has worst service.. Never get any LG product.

          Truly, very poor service by LG-have been repeatedly asking for a service for window AC but no response-waste of the toll free number.
          LG service has worst service...i have 1.5 ton split a.c.. a.c is in guarantee and motor was burnt after calling many times service man came and changed it and now it has some strange noise and i can't sleep in this noise i have complained many times but no one is responsing

          I Put a Mail to LG service just now for my TV problem.The 29" flatron was bought just before 2 years.It has a Picture tube problems.I never came to know about a picture tube problem for any brand TV before 7 years.Let us see how LG service team will react.I will post my experience again after their response.

          I agree with the complaint and a very bad service. We raised a case RNA[protected] on 3rd of April to fix the water outlet of the 1.5 ton window AC. NO response from LG personnel, when we called again the customer care they said the case is closed by SITE NOT READY, they will again raise up a case RNA[protected] and within 2 hrs the service engineer will call us but after 2 days the service engineer visited and said they are not responsible to bring the outlet pipe, if we buy they will come and fix it, by saying this they closed this case. Again, I raised another case RNA[protected] saying that we have bought the pipe so please come and fix it. We raised this case on 14th April still no response from them. Called the customer care on the Toll free they said this case has been closed and refused to say the case notes updation. When I shouted and asked them to xfer to the supervisor, the supervisor spoke to me and promised that they will escalate it to the service center and will make sure that the engineer will call me in an hour but still I havent receive any call. They gave me the escalation contact of the service center but none of them picking the call.

          I bought LG AC 1.5 yrs back and i had gas leak problem twice in just one year.. again i am facing the same problem and LG asking me for paid repairing... how come gas in ac gets leak thrice in just 18 months?... LG is just pathetic... Guys pl ask your relatives not to go for LG products...

          I have been struglling to get my AC working which is under warranty. This is over 20 days I have been calling Customer care, Dealer. Only the customer care guys specially shiva kumar is trying to get this resolved but the dealer or LG manager's sucks.           I have asked North service head Mr. Ajay Chawala to share his email ID so that I can share all the contents and mail trail of last 2 years with him, but he refused to share his email ID and asking me to send sms on his mobile and problem will get resolved.

          You can understand the seriousness of these Managers towards their customer. They do not want to listen the concern of their customers.

          I am requesting LG personal to take immediate action and replace my AC with good AC.

          Havnt received any update for the phone since a very long time. What is the use of the company keeping the update. Plz allow the network providers to do the needful and not lg.

          Semi Automatic washing machine water leakage

          LG Semi automatic washing machine there is a problem regarding water leakage. I even tried to contact through toll free number but it took me more than 30 min but still couldn't get connected to call.

            I have bought a LG refrigerator ( Model GL - 365YMQG4 ) from LG Shoppe ( Authorised dealer Manish Trex & Finvest Pvt. ltd., e-Mall 6, Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata - 700072, Phone[protected]. During sale it was promissed that there is a exchange offer and they will pick up my existing old refrigerator within 30 minutes from the time they will install the new refrigerator. I bought it on 15th of May and until 25th May they have not kept their promise that was made during sale. I did several follow ups without success. Every time they make false promise. I do not know what to do.

              It is with ENORMOUS disgust that I would like to relate the incidents that I have had to experience with regard to dealing with your authorized 'service' outlet M/s.Comfort Point located at Goregaon Mumbai.

              Given below are the series of incidents with the relevant brief of the happenings...

              It all started in the month of April when I had noticed that the AC unit in my living room wasn't cooling upto the desired levels inspite of the temperature controls being adjusted to 18 degrees. With this unit having performed better than expectations over the past 4 years, even at temperature controls at 24 & 25 degrees....I obviously knew this unit needed to be looked into by an authorized service outlet of LG & hence contacted your call center in the 3rd week of April.

              The service engineer from Comfort point (...so called...if thats what they call it....which ideally should be called 'Discomfort point') visits my residence only at the end of April who surprisingly conveys that there is 'Nothing wrong' with the unit except that he 'THINKS' that there is a shortage of gas which needs to be filled afterwhich the unit should be fine.Not being convinced about his investigations which he 'THINKS', he prepares a service report where he mentions that the machine needs to be further verified by a senior technician who will revisit the machine & will share his findings with me on the same. After this, 3 to 4 days went by where there was neither a call from the service engineer nor comfort point on the senior technician's visit. With the summer being at this peak, I had to get intouch with the call center again & thankfully managed to get the contact number of the service outlet 'comfort point'...which after speaking to them I was surprised to note that the service engineer that had visited my residence conveyed to his office with the remark 'WS collection pending' (which as mentioned above was contradictory to the report that I had signed for).

              In any case, with my unit having to proceed to the workshop I was subsequently revisited by yet another service engineer on May 1st who switched on the unit and surprisingly remarks that there is NOTHING wrong with the unit but still took it after I insisted on the machine needing to be cross checked by the service workshop once-n-for all....(the biggest mistake made by me to send the machine to the service outlet Comfort Point). On my machine having been collected I subsequently received the 1st. complaint number C[protected] on May 1st 2010. When the engineer organized the machine to be collected, the person did not collect the 'Indoor Display unit' to which I questioned him on how they would check the working condition without this display; which he conveyed that this display unit was NOT required by them as the workshop had the facility to check the machine without this display unit being present (with my not being technically savvy, I had to take his word for it). The machine was hence collected both the outdoor & indoor units (without the indoor display unit).

              On my liasing with the service outlet on May 5th I was conveyed that the machine was cross verified by the workshop & the compressor was found faulty & needed to be replaced, which would be replaced free of cost given the compressor being within its warranty period of 5 years (incidently I would hasten to highlight that this is totally contrary to both the service engineers remarks who had conveyed earlier that the machine was fine & nothing was wrong). On my having inquired further about there being any other fault with the machine I was told by them that the Indoor cooling coil needed servicing to which I did not want to take a chance & confirmed to them to have the same replaced, the cost of which would be borne personally by me. They inturn confirmed that the cost of this part would come to approx Rs.2700/- to which I addressed them in the affirmative that of replacing the same at the cost which would be payable by me on delivery of the machine.

              On May 7th after I called Comfort point I was told by them that the compressor would be replaced by today & the cooling coil would be ordered for replacement (a delay already by 1 week...May 1st to 7th post my first communication/confirmation to them) and the machine would be ready for delivery by the 10th or 11th of May. Post my conversation with them, I subsequently received the 2nd. complaint number S[protected] on May 8th 2010.

              On not having received any call (as usual) from Comfort, I called the call center on May 11th 2010 to find out the status of the complaint to which I was just told to liase with the service outlet...Comfort point. On speaking to yet another person at Comfort I was conveyed that whilst the compressor was replaced, the Indoor cooling coil was expected in a day's time (May 12th) as was not in ready stock with Comfort & hence the machine to be delivered by May 14th.

              Now on May 13th, I inquired with Comfort on the cooling coil that should have ideally been replaced & was surprisngly given to understand that the part was still expected (probably was walking by itself) and they were expecting the same to come in today afterwhich they would replace the same & deliver the machine by Saturday, May 15th.

              As I had vacation plans with the family out of Mumbai, I conveyed to them to have the coil replaced but the delivery would need to be only after a week after I would return from my vacation in Goa. The person I had spoken to this time was Mr.Jay from Comfort who confirmed the needful would be done & they would await my call for delivery of the duly completed machine in a week.

              On my return from Goa on May 20th morning, I called Comfort Point from the airport itself so as to expect the machine to be delivered the same day in the afternoon or evening. To my utter dismay, I speak to Ijaz from Comfort & understand that they are STILL expecting the cooling coil & the same was expected by the 21st morning afterwhich he conveyed that he would PERSONALLY ENSURE that the machine would be delivered by Sunday morning, May 23rd by 1100 hrs without fail.

              Now come Sunday, May 23rd, with my having not received any calls from Comfort (as usual), I call their number[protected] which is not answered.

              On the following day, May 24th, I call for Ijaz on the same above number who yet again apologizes on the cooling coil not being received by them but he would have the same organized from some other authorized service outlet and have the machine delivered by the same evening but about 2100 hrs.

              Naturally with utter disgust, I did not accept the committment being made by Ijaz/Comfort and requested to talk to a senior in the outlet. To my astonishment, I am transfered telephonically to Mr.Jay who has the odassity to tell me & I quote...."we are doing you a favour by arranging the coil from Nariman point & if you are not interested in waiting until 9 at night I will send this machine to you as it is without the coil being replaced"....

              Obviously, since I was compelled to comply with coil being replaced, I accepted Mr.Jay's assurance of the coil being replaced & the machine being delivered by 2100 hrs the same day.

              To my further dismay, I now get a call from Mr.Prakash Pandit, the Area Service Manager from LG at 1604 hrs on 24th itself who astonishingly conveys that Comfort Point has got in touch with him that they cannot even "SWITCH ON'" the machine since the DISPLAY UNIT is not with them as it is still at my residence. I in turn was left speechless as conveyed to Mr.Pandit that I had specifically mention the same to the technician who collected the unit on May 1st to which was told by the technician then that the Display unit was not required.Mr.Pandit was kind enough to apologize on LG's behalf & for due clarity on the inconvience faced by me put by Mr.Jay from Comfort on conference over our cellphine conversation where I had conveyed to jay to have the same collected at the earliest so as for the machine to be delivered by the end of the day on 24th. Mr.jay & Mr.Pandit agreed & the conversation was ended.

              Whilst it takes only 20 minutes from Comfort to my residence the technician comes in to collect the display unit only by 2030 hrs (8.30 p.m.). Just before him leaving with the Display unit, for my due clarity I inquired on how he was going to commute with the unit to which I was SHOCKINGLY conveyed by him that he was not given the money for transport & hence would need to travel by bus with this unit. I was not interested in arguing this out with anyone at all & hence gave the technician Rs.100/- & requested him to travel by autorickshaw as the unit would get damaged if he attempted to travel by bus.

              As I did not get a call from Comfort as usual, I attempted to called Mr.Jay about 5 times this morning at 1000 hrs on his mobile number [protected] (the number which I managed to hook on to when we had the conference call) but he did not pick the call.

              Disgusted & completely frustrated, I called Mr.Pandit was busy & was kind to call me back. The remark that I heard from Mr.Pandit was shocking.....and I quote....."Sir, I understand from Mr.Jay that your machine is not coming on & there may some issue with the display unit".....I was shocked.

              I conveyed in-turn to Mr.Pandit that I was NOT WILLING to buy any further excuses as there was NO PROBLEM with the Display unit at all moreover the same was even switched on by the Comfort technician right from Day-1 when they confirmed that NOTHING was wrong with the machine.

              I further conveyed to Mr. Pandit that It was very clear that the person that collected the dispaly unit went by bus transport so as to pocket the Rs.100/- which I had given to him. To this, Mr.Pandit conveyed that he would liase with the DEL headoffice & get back to me.....which is where my grievance stands as of now.

              My observations :
              1. LG being an mnc & a worldwide accepted brand in home appliances / products....does a customer have to go through SUCH TRAUMA to have issues sorted.

              2. Does LG India not see the 'Discomfort' that the customer is made to go through at your authorized service center...so called...'Comfort Point'.

              3. Am I not justified in taking my 'Gross Harrassment' to Consumer Court' & should I not be compensated for this 'Harrassment'.

              4 Do you still intend to continue with Comfort Point & engineer of this sort.


              As long as this email complaint, the frustration levels faced by me are simply un-explainable & I would sincerely expect a immediate reply on this issue being resolved.

                Water leakage from 1 year old LG refrigerator. Same issue but provided with multiple Call ticket numbers C[protected], C[protected] & C[protected] .

                Escalation through mail to Mr.Rajneesh Kumar(LG EAST Branch Service-In-Charge) was provided on 17th-May-10.

                Last communication was Replacement of Machine within 6-7 days. Verbal communication of Engineer and collecting Bill-Of-Purchase on 10th-May-10. Mail communication from [protected]@lgindia.com by Ms.Nupur Banerjee regarding replacement of system was provided on 18th-May-10.

                No response after that. Now after multiple follow-ups not getting any proper response. Ms.Nupur Banerjee. She is not responding to any phone calls.

                Today called up Mr.Rajneesh([protected]) for update. After taking down my Mobile number, he responded back saying that Ms.Nupur will call back within 30 minutes. But no response from Ms.Nupur.

                Escalated the same to Noida Customer Support through Phone [[protected] / 940]. Response recieved as will update within half an hour. But no call-back recieved.
                i purchase 270lts LG fridge on 8.5.2011. No installer visit to us till today. Its defrost drain box is not in proper fitted. Its fitting position is very very dangerous. Water box on compressor is very delicate, it can over flow any time after defrosting please change the system and send a service engineer as soon as possible.

                  Hello,

                  I am a customer of LG and a user of LG Products. Recently I purchased a LG 1.5 Ton AC on 19th April from V. N. Agencies, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi. I was very happy to get a new AC from LG at my home. The AC was installed by LG Engineer on 20th April 2010 (Ref No: C[protected]). Untill, then I was very excited.

                  My whole excitement was lost, when I turned on the AC after installation. It seemed to give good performance, the installer said its ok and he took his money and left. I started using the AC, but to my surprise, the AC could not bring the room temperature down. Even after hours of operation, the Room temperature was stable at 26-27 degree centigrade. I asked a friend who purchased the same AC from the same shop with me about the issue and he said that his is working fine and it gives a very efficient cooling and cools the room in just about 30 minutes time.

                  I called up customer care at[protected]. Please find below a series of complaint numbers and the solution provided by the engineers, which has so far not been able to resolve the problem but has increased the tension for me. I feel that LG is trying to harass me and the engineers are trying to give me mental trauma, so that I avoid calling up customer care and use the same AC.

                  C[protected] - 22 April 2010 : I lodged a complaint explaining the problem and asked Customer care to get it rectified. An engineer visited my place and explained that the AC is properly working and he has just come to give a demo and not to cater to any of request / resolution to my problem. He took my signatures on a paper and left for the day. Problem not resolved. I kept on using the AC, thinking that may be it was new AC, so it would take some more time to adjust to environment of my room. Nevertheless, problem unresolved.

                  C[protected] - 24 April 2010 : I again lodged a complaint and explained all the problem to LG Customer care. An engineer visited my place and examined the AC. He said that installation for the AC is fine, but the product has a manufacturing defet and it should be replaced. I asked him to give this in written and then he said he would talk to his senior. After sometime, he said that he will send a senior engineer for the issue rectification and on a temporary basis, he shifted the temperature sensor of the indoor unit to some other place. My wife signed the servie papers with feedback of engineer. Surprisingly, the movement of temperature sensor caused another problem. Now, as soon as we started the AC, the temperature dropped drastically (only in the dispaly and not in the room).

                  C[protected] - 28 April 2010 : 3rd complaint logged, for no resolution. Another engineer visite my place and checked for the problem. He said again that the product is having some defect and also the temperature sensor is placed at wrong place. He then made some corrections on the front panel of indoor unit. He advised to monitor the performance for 24hours and then he would come back again to get service form signed. Please note that the engineer was not in LG uniform, neither he had is identity card. Finally, the AC remained unrepaired and there was no response after 24 hours from the engineer.

                  C[protected] - 03 May 2010 : On this complaint, the same engineer visited my place, who came for complaint of 28th April. He then said that I should get my windows glass removed or packed and get some walls broken to get a proper cooling effect since the AC is working fine. I asked him to give this in written that if I break my windows and build walls or close the windows permanently, the AC will work fine. He then said that he would check the compressor. After that he reached to a conclusion that the compressor is not working fine and there is deficiency of gas in the compressor. For this he marked as "Gas Leakage". I asked as to how it can be that there is gas leakage and the AC is giving slight cooling, if at all there is leakage, the AC should not be cooling at all. He said that he would speak to his service manager and send someone senior for repairing.

                  I waited for a week but there was none to serve me and resolve my issue.



                  C[protected] - 13 May 2010 : I again lodged a complaint. This time executive gave me the number for Uniquare Services (Mr. Sharma - [protected]) and advised me to speak to him for a solution. I spoke to him but there was no engineer visiting my place. Finally, on 15th May, I called up again at customer service and asked them to escalate the case. This time executive gave me the number for a lady Vibha ([protected]). I called her up and spoke to her about the problem. She promised to send an executive in one hour, no one turned up. I again called up Mr. Sharma and gave a warning for taking the matte to consumer forum and this time he said that he would send the engineer in 1 hour and this was met. Another engineer visited my place, and he said that whatever the other engineer said was bogus. I should actually get my AC shifted or re-installed at different place to get cooling. I asked him to run the AC and check for a few hours. he did as the last engineer did, the AC ran for One hour but the temperature never dropped below 29 degree centigrade. In fact after some time of operation, the temperature increased to 30 and then to 31. The engineer however didnt give up and put some more gas in the compressing unit, but all in vain. He then said that the AC needs a replacement and I should write this in the feedback form. When I asked him to do so directly, he declined and said that he would send someone senior to him. No one turned since then.

                  Today, on 17th May, I got a message from LG asking for feedback on SMS for the service that was provided. So far no service is provided and my problem still unresolved.

                  So, I lodged a complaint again on lgindia.com for which the complaint No. is : [protected] (17th May 2010). So far no one has attended this complaint.

                  Aftere rigorous follow up on daily basis, I got an engineer at my place on 19th May, who checked the AC and shifted the compressing unit to a different place, saying the installation has not been done properly. He further said that he would come the next day to recharge the gas.

                  Next day, he came and removed all the gas and filled in gas again in the AC. But all efforts went in vain, there was no change. The AC never cooled the room. Then the engineer said following points which he has given in written:

                  Atmosphere temperature is 45degree, so there is problem in cooling

                  One side wall of room is warm and thus the room temperature is not being maintained and so AC is not able to cool

                  Grill Temperature is 13.5degree, that means there is some problem in AC..but the ACs in show rooms are showing the same grill temperature, however they are cooling below 22degree

                  Overall there is problem in site, and so the AC is not cooling.

                  I then called up V N Agencies, from where I had purchased the AC and they had promised that if there would be any problem in site (if identified by engineer / installer), the AC will be returned. I spoke to V. N. Agencies about all this and their promise to replace the AC if there is any problem, they simply declined and said that I should contact LG for any further support. They even declined to help, saying if there is problem in site there is nothing much that they can do, except that the AC be dumped.

                  ** The AC is a brand new AC, which promises to Cool even at 54 degree temperature. Howcome it is not cooling at 45 degree and it fails to provide the cooling effect.

                  I am so much pissed off with this poor service of LG that I no longer have the trust in LG products and specially where you claim to provide services within 24hours, it shouls mean to provide a resolution and just a visit by engineers. I have lost all my hope in the customer service department, still I am writing this mail with an expectation that someone would look at my issue and provide a resolution. Otherwise, I am forced to take stringent action on this.



                  Some points to note:

                  Different engineers had different suggestions, but no resolution.

                  there was no consistency in the identification of problem for the AC

                  Two engineers claimed that the product has manufacturing defect, but declined to give in writing.

                  Two of them advised to either get a new wall constructed, or window permanently shutdown since it was made of glass and was radiating heat outside or to get a reinstallation done at my own cost. Why has LG hired specialist installers then, to repeat installation and make more money?

                  No engineer was able to identify the real problem, some moved the sensor, one declared gas leakage, the other filled gas .... is it just to fulfill the customer complaint addressing mechanism in 24 hours or to provide a resolution?

                  Surprisingly, no engineer visited my place / or called me up within 24 hours of complaint lodge.

                  The engineer visited my place and after that call got closed. May I know upon whose confirmation the call was closed? Since, I got no resolution to my problem why was the closed?

                  Your feedback agency called me up to collect feedback upon the service and promised that he would forward it to higher authorities for a solution, no response so far.



                  All the engineers visiting my place for resolution are verbally saying that the product has manufacturing defect, but no one is ready give in writing. And, when I ask it in writing, they say that the site has a problem, atmosphere temperature is high, room is on first floor etc.



                  Can someone provide me support / help me in getting this problem resolved.



                  I humbly request you to provide a solution : either rectify the problem or replace the AC.

                  This is an increasingly common problem, particularly with big brands obsessed with star-ratings. Many AC's are knowingly shipped with weak/defective compressors, and after that it is the responsibility of the consumer to prove that the compressor is defective, rather than the manufacturer having to prove that the compressor is working well. To get rid of all complaint-related headaches, manufacturers simply outsource after-sales service to third grade franchisees, who just know one thing - the customer has to be convinced that he is wrong, by any possible combination of hook and crook. Most of these rascals are high-school drop-outs who cannot even read numbers. I have purchased 2 expensive split AC's, one from Hitachi in Noida last year, and one from Whirlpool in Chennai this year. Both have weak/defective compressors, which draw only 60-70% of their rated current readings. The Hitachi AC ended up in a consumer court where Hitachi is doing its best to delay the decision by asking for extensions every month. In 1 year, Hitachi has not managed to put forth even a single argument in defence of the AC or their service. Their sole focus is : delay. Delay as much as possible, even with the flimsiest of excuses. The battle with Whirlpool has been going on for over a month with a 5% chance of salvaging the AC. But quite likely, the jury will have to sit on this AC too in a consumer court. After my experiences, I can give a couple of tips to anyone purchasing an AC : ask for the AC to be checked for operational current at the time of purchase. If the AC draws less current than what is stated as necessary by the manufacturer for that model, ask the dealer to throw the AC in the dustbin and show you another one. Pay only AFTER proof of current drawn. If you can't get the dealer to check the AC before payment, avoid the big brands - they cheat more. They devote their professionalism to cheating professionally. A reliable Indian brand is Cruise. Call Cruise[protected] and see if they have a supplier in your region. Cruise is much cheaper, and they have an excellent track-record for the reliability of the compressor, at least in Chennai where I live. And I think they are willing to take payment after installation. Plus get yourself a Meco 225 clamp meter (Rs. 1000/- app.) to make sure of accurate current/voltage measurements. I even keep refrigerant gas R22 with myself, although a new AC will almost never have problems with gas pressure. But in case you are interested, the outlet side gas pressure must be above 260 psi, while the suction side gas pressure should be roughly 75 psi. But the pressures mean nothing if the compressor itself is weak/defective.
                  I request you guys never purchase LG Products. Life will never be gold but definitely Pure Iron .
                  I purchase LG Window AC not giving any cooling after 1 year . When I log request for Service only service request is generated and an engineer has come to my home . That's only . But no change in the product and also LG is not doing anything . They have putted the english Honors student in service center . When you will call them they will entertain you only by english but they will never do good for your product .

                    This is regarding my complaint for LG LCD TV which we had made on 19 May, 2010. The LCD is 32" and bought in December 2009 from NEXT, Sec 14, Gurgaon.

                    Prior to this, our LCD had stopped working on 12 may 2010 and a complaint had been lodged on 13 may for the issue. The issue was resolved next day and the LG engineer had replaced the motherboard.
                    But after 4 days, again the LCD stopped working and a new complaint was lodged on 19 may on number [protected].
                    The complaint number is C[protected] by the name of Sushil Saini. The engineer came next day to check and told us that its power supply is faulty and it has to be replaced. He said that the part was not in stock and it will take 1-2 days for the part to come and replace. For next 2 days, there was no call/intimation regarding the part. All the calls made to their service centre at Gurgaon on[protected] were either not picked or their phone was busy. On 23 May (Sunday) I managed to get through the service centre number and the lady their assuerd me that the part had come and it will be replaced the same day. All day we waited at home for the part to be delivered and replaced but no news or phone call came.In the evening I again called the customer care where I was told that a reminder mail will be sent to service centre and the issue will be solved shortly.
                    Next day, again no reply. The service centre number is seldom attended. When I managed to get through it, the lady told me that the part had to be replaced in the workshop and for that LCD had to be taken to the workshop , after which it will take additional 2-3 days for repairing.She told me that the workshop truck was on its way to pick the LCD. For whole day, We waited for the truck or any call to come, but nothing. I called customer care in the evening and again he said that reminder will be sent and a call will be arranged in the morning between 9-11 am. I had called at 5.30 in the evening, and the service centre timings are 9.30 to 6.30 and with 1 hour remaining, my complaint was put off another day. Today, its 12 am. now, with no call from anyone and no one is attending my call at service centre number.

                    I want to escalate the issue and bring into notice the poor quality of service of LG. This is highly non-acceptable with so much harassment of consumers at LG's hands.
                    LG products may be good but what reduces its quality is such a poor service.
                    This is nothing but harassment. Wish consumer courts in India were faster so that we could take them to court. I can well imagine how people must be waiting at home that the tv will be repaired and they will watch the fav program . I am rethinking about buying a lg set after reading this. There should not be a single case like this.

                      last week i purchased the LG GX200 DUAL SIM mobile phone.i enquired the dealer about the both sims are active when one line is in use.the dealer promised, if one sim is in use another sim's incomming with a beep sound you can hear.but this fecility is not available in LG GX200 (if sim1 is in use means at the same time sim 2 is not reachable) i'm very unhappy with this model LG GX200 and lg company.i think china mobile sets is far better lhan LG GX200

                        I bought a LG laptop Model FD-2 in 2007. It developed cracks near hinges after a few months but i could not get it repaired as my husband was posted in Aurangabad and LG laptop repair services were not available there. After coming back to Noida in 2009, i got it repaired on 6.9.2009 at Gaziabad service center, but soon cracks appeared again. Again i complaint and it was repaired once again on 16 Jan 2010. Fifteen days passed and it broke again. I lodged a complaint and once again it was repaired on 6.3.2010. To my horror, it has broken again. I was told by the technician and service center in September that this model has this problem of cracks near hinges and it is a common problem with this model. Now it has broken the fourth time and LG is denying any responsibility towards it. In fact LG has sold a failed model of Laptop to me and its service and spare parts provided were also faulty. It is giving me a great tension as whenever there are cracks on the top cover a line appears on LCD screen and whenever it is repaired the line goes off on its own.
                        I have spent 35000/- on the purchase and 2000/- on the repair, and i have wasted my hard earned money on a failed model. I want LG to take the responsibility of the faulty laptop sold to me and take the responsibility of faulty spare parts and pay me the amount i have spent on its purchase ans services and damages i have incurred in the repair of this faulty model. Please advice me what shall i do for the redressal of my complaint.

                            Water drips from my split AC of LG India. I have an AMC for it. I first lodged my complaint for it on 30th April, complaint no. C[protected]. The engineer came, refilled the gas but water continued to drip. He told us that it would need cleaning with a chemical for the whole unit. I have been complaining repeatedly but there is no response from LG. The complaint nos. are C[protected] (7th May 2010), C[protected] (18th May), and C[protected] (20th May). LG also gave me a number of Mr Sunil who is supposed to be a senior customer complaint officer (mobile no.[protected] but he does not even pick up the phone. I am clueless as to what to do. Please help.

                              I bought a window AC on 3/04/2010(Nizawan Electronics) from Nizawan Electronics,its not working properly from that day only and the AC visited to workshop twice when i asked service engineers strickly to check the root cause,after 4-5 complaint they told me that there is a gas leakage in that.The last complaint number is :C[protected] .No body is taking the things seriously,i am using LG products from 10 yrs but not faced such kind of behaviour.Its a work pressure or what, where customers are ignored.Now, I required replacement with the new one.

Warranty expires on April 20th' 2011. I receieved a feedback that my AC would be repaired with in 24 hours, but nobody bothered to give nme a call even.

                              I kept on reminding in customer support cell and called up four times for maintenance. But in vain.

                              Kindly help as i am in great trouble and i feel cheated by LG india.

                              LG Window AC — Misbehavior by service personnel

                              I had registered a service requirement of my window AC to the call center on 08.04.2011 by complaint no. RNA[protected]. I have taken 3 yrs. AMC in 2009. After the service was done I showed the service personnel the copy of receipt issued by LG Care which he refused to accept and demanded Rs. 330.00 for the service and misbehaved with my family.

                                Since last one month my LG make Airconditioner failed & is under warranty.We have registered 3 complain with LG help line & also sent mail to head office for 3 times.But poor response.After 3 complain Service center person visited the site & taken the AC back for Compressor replacement.As per them spare compressor not available in Mumbai & after receiving from Noida only theywill replace faulty compressor.Within 10 months of purchase Compressor failed.Since last 12 days Service center person are waiting for new compressor.Kindly help to contact rightperson at LG Head office.

                                This is to inform you that my LG air conditioner is not working properly. After registering about three complaints in the Asansol LG Showroom, there is no response from your side. We are not happy with such cheap behavior. If this continues on we will be forced to move to the consumer court in a day or two.

                                  I have a complaint against LG.
                                  Recently my window AC (obviously of LG) cooling slowed down. When I contacted their customer care they send local technician from local authorized service provider. He said that some capillary has been choked and AC has to be taken to the workshop and will be repaired there only. They took my AC and returned after three days, with charging me 1500/ including gas charge and transportation. Even then the problem remains same. I again contacted their customer care again they sent one another technician(usually ITI fellows) and he said there is sensor problem and it needs to be changed. Next day another technician came and he changed the sensor but problem was still there, then he said AC is drawing more current than specified. It again need to repaired at the workshop. I was not able to understand what was happening. No body was able to figure out the exact problem with my AC. I tried to contact the local service provider 100s of time by phone but either nobody picks up or the number is busy or try other number these type of things happened. Then after many many calls to customer care and local dealer, one day they took my AC. today its almost 3-4 days, nobody from their side called me what was the problem nor they are sending the AC. Their number never picked up.
                                  The whole thing is that their service is really pathetic.

                                  the capillary of the ac can be replaced with the help of blower lamp then and there
                                  If there is a problem with the sensor then the compressor should either tripped withing 10 minutes or should not trip at all causing extreme cold temperature.
                                  Check the R22 level by gauge suction and discharge both
                                  suction should be 60-65
                                  and discharge should vary between 200 - 300
                                  it may happen that u got a faulty unit causing leakage
                                  else change the capillary and replace the capillary which is without the filter. The capillary should not cost more than 100 bucks.

                                  I bought 1 no 0.75 TR and 1 no 2 TR split ACs from Bharat Electronic Trading Corporation on dated 29.04.10 by full cash for our new office at 3C Camac street, Kolkata-16...After 2 days of installation of the same i found water dropping out from that 2TR split AC..We informed Bharat electrical regarding the same, after 4 days a technician came but was unable to rectify the problem...Again we called the dealer, but they stopped picking up my calls...Then i lodged a complain (complain no C[protected]) with LG customer care, after regular follow up of 5 days a technician came from First Cool customer care center(Ph no :[protected]), but he was also unable to rectify the problem..Finally, again after 2-3 days follow up a senior technician came, who told me that the machine has manufacturing defect and needs to be replaced...He also confirmed that the same will be replaced within 2-3 days...But unfortunately nothing happened..Again i started following up with First cool, but they said that they have already informed about the problem to the concerned department and can do nothing more than this, The rest will be done by the LG store only...I took the phone number of LG store ([protected]) from them, Called there several times but no one responded...Now, i feel like helpless...It has been more than 1 month that the AC is unusable...what a poor service from such a branded company like LG..Now, i am thinking to move to consumer forum with this complain.

                                    LG Air Conditioner — Worst and Disaster Series

                                    We have made a complaint regarding AC on January 2011, Now its around 5 months going to be over, till now no body came and rectified the issue, I have called customer care and got the contact number of Regional head of LG South, but that guy never picked the call, I have called him around 20 - 30 time in a week. I want to ask you one thing why you are doing the business when you cant provide service, one of worst and service of LG in India..... I was planning to buy more LG products , but now decided this one of worst service...

                                      Ever since I have bought this Aircon from EZONE,Rngr,Bangalore(3.4.[protected]I continue to be harassed by LG which seems to be excelling at shoddy service.
                                      The Aircon was shoddily installed,no one turned up for Demonstration.
                                      Your service engineers argue and are unfriendly.
                                      The engineer who installed the unit gives false assurance and blatantly lies.
                                      To add to these issues,the Aircon failed and the issue was reported.
                                      Your service engineer turned up without the full kit,analysed the issue as a case of NO refrigerant GAS in the system,REFUSED to provide a service report and promised that he would turn up the next day to fill gas.
                                      No one turned up…I had to call your service engineer –another person turned up –Ramesh and analyzed and confirmed that perhaps there is NO LEAK but may be a case of a rare unit with LOW GAS filled during manufacture???
                                      With great difficulty,He filled a service report which DOES NOT HAVE ANY NUMBER,he does not have a copy,he has scribbled a AN20R1 in a corner with a report NO GAS.
                                      This is a confirmation of a complete DEVIATION from a standard customer support process
                                      The gas was subsequently filled up the next day on 2.5.2010.
                                      I have issues once again and the Aircon has FAILED once again yesterday.
                                      Does LG have no QC checks and allow a dispatch with low gas filled ?
                                      Why should a new A/c have these kind of issues?
                                      Does Ezone procure third or second hand A/c’s from LG to sell it a lower price?
                                      The matter needs to be investigated.
                                      LG cannot be producing large numbers of their products with NO CONTROL over its processes and turning out poor quality products.
                                      HOW CAN A A?C FAIL WITHIN A MONTH ?

                                      Ever since I have bought this LG AC at Patna which is installed below mentioned my restaurant in the month of may.
                                      Sizzler restaurant, Bailey Road, Rupuspur Nahar, Danapur -Patna.
                                      Post instalation with 1 week only we have started facing the cooling problem for which we have complaint on 25th May(complain no.) not available and your technician has come to get the front grill cut for servicing. We had completed the work with next day but no body has turned up for servicing, despite of sevral calls to local LG distributer Mr.Ravindra Kishore who stopped picking my calls afterward.
                                      On 5th July we haved logged the complain again C[protected] which should be resolve within 24 hrs as per ther customer policy but till date no body has turned. PRO Shruti has assured that issue would be resolve and when no body has reverted i had called up again but she bang the phone after listening my complain again and never picked up after so many trial.
                                      i had escalated the issue to Sumit Dubey who is your area manager but he is also saying that he is helpless as that LG is having having staff crunch and can't assure me regarding work completion. if we are getting this kind of poor services from renowned company like LG than its very disappointing. Being a service provider you should maintain a service level post selling.
                                      This is a confirmation of a complete DEVIATION from a standard customer support process
                                      we really need to lookin to the same and need to train your staff regarding customer handling.
                                      Looking support from your end and need resolution asap.

                                        Purchased Window AC on 7.04.09. Motor of the AC fan (blower) was damaged within 1.1 year of the purchase for which again I have to spend Rs. 2923/- for replacing the same.

                                        The quality of the product is such below standard.

                                        LG/WINDOW AC — TorturousSservice

                                        I am Vipin Rai from Faridabad. I just wanted to highlight one of my concerns before your team reagrding the torturous service provided by LG electronics. I have purchased a LG window AC two years back. I have called at there customer service number to log a request for the service of my AC on 11/04/2009. The engineer visited my place on the same day itself. But according to him one part needed to be replaced. I asked him to replace the part. But he was not having that part at that time. He promised me that he will revisit in a day or two to replace it and do the service as well. And after that day its 22/04/2009 today and no one has approached me yet. I have not received a single update from there side. In between, I have called there service helpline thrice or more than that. Everytime there customer care executive said that they are reffering my case on a high priority basis to the service centre but I have not received a single call from there side.

                                        My complaint no is : N9C41101477

                                        Things I would like to highlight here:

                                        1. This is the worst service provider I have seen till date.
                                        2. I don't know if they really care about there customers after delivering there product.
                                        3. There is no co ordination between the company and the service providers who are working for them.
                                        4. I don't think that there higher management is really bothered about the services of there junior employs.
                                        5. They have got an SLA of 48 hours, but I don't think if there process are audited ever.

                                        I am so much frusted about there services that I gurantee that I won't let anyone whom I know to purchase any LG equipment ever.
