[Resolved]  Lufthansa Airlines — Delay in Refund, No proper response

I had booked tickets on Lufthansa Website [Mumbai - Detroit Return, Reservation code: 4EPT4K and 4E5UJV]. Travel date was 11th May 2010. I cancelled the tickets on 19th April 2010. Its been close to 8 weeks now that refund amount has not been credited in credit card account. Your policy says it takes 4-5 weeks for refund.

I tried calling your call center at GURGOAN, their only response was to write mail to 'esales.[protected]@dlh.de' as they look after cancellations for tickets booked online. The esales team was reminded on 17th may and 25th May 2010 but no response. Its only after the issue was escalted at your call center [with Mr. Kuldeep Singh], i got an reply from Ms Swati Vashist that refund process is still under process..Suprisingly, there is no contact number to get in touch with this team...its only email communication with delayed or no responses. I have written a mail to 'crelation.[protected]@dlh.de' but no response. I have sumbitted complaint on your website [reference number 21027373]..

May I please know the exact status of this refund process.

1. On what date will the refund be credited in my account?
2. What is the cancellation amount?
3. I have already incurred Rs.1200 as interest. I request you to take this point and amount into consideration during calculating my refund.
4. I will have to face daily interest on my credit card outstanding amount. If delayed for few more days...it can go upto Rs. 5000.

Lufthansa was our preferred airlines...but this incident of poor customer service has changed our opinion.

I am also feeling the same depression dealing with the email address esales.[protected]@dlh.de

No response from Swati Vashsist or any of your team members yet.
Please provide us with a better service and also provide a phone number to contact the eslaes.[protected]@dlh.de

I think I spoke too soon in my previous comment.
Apparently the Indian office was closed due to National Holiday, and I had to wait 3 whole nights to make reservation changes. Swati Vashsist did help a lot to make necessary changes. (much appreciated)
I still have to wine about one single email address for all passenger changes/reservations.
In this e-commerce world, having to wait for 72+ hours to make a change to the travel dates is unacceptable.
Airline(s), please give some attention to this issue.
