[Resolved]  Maruti Udyog Limited / Maruti Wagon - R — Defective car/ parts

Dear Mr. Khattar,


You must have received lot of Complaint as well as Appreciation mails but the below text is something different from the above mentioned, please read it carefully, I hope it arises your interest -

I, the owner of Maruti Wagon-r no. DL 8 CK 4986,

After working for some years I accumulated some amount of money with which I decided to buy a car. This was the first big asset of my life which I was about to buy. In a country like India where Maruti still holds the no. 1 position in the variety of cars, there was no other thought but to buy a Maruti product.

After looking for options at 2-3 dealers’ shops in Delhi, I decided to buy the car from D.D Motors, which was near to his house. After waiting for couple of hours, when I got the car keys in my hand, I was very excited. I thanked the employees of D.D Motors and drove the car home.

The story doesn’t end here rather it begins here. After few days, I noticed some problems (which were explained in the last mails sent to you), the following were changed in a BRAND NEW CAR –

Dashboard
Steering Fitment
Caliper Pins
Etc……



It’s been almost 2 years since I bought the car and to my disappointment, the list of vows doesn’t end here even after approaching the MD of Maruti India Ltd, i.e. YOU!

After the last repair (which was again mentioned to you in the last mail), the car is giving more problems than ever. It seems that car was taken to the repair centre of D.D Motors just to fool the customer! The car produces even louder sounds while driving on the bad roads of Delhi!!!


As I told you in the last complaint that I am a working person and don’t have much time to get the thing repaired again and again for which I paid around 3.5 LAKHS again and not to forget it was a BRAND NEW CAR and that too of THE MOST SELLING CAR COMPANY OF INDIA.

Anyway, as the problem is still there, I went to D.D. Motors again (Don’t know when will this end!) and people there suggested that ‘Steering Assembly’ needed to be changed! PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHY COULDN’T THEY FIGURE IT OUT IN THE FIRST INSTANCE AND SECOND WHY ONE MORE THING NEEDS TO BE CHANGED IN A NEW CAR?

I have couple of questions which if not answered this time can lead to bad results –

1) Why are things being changed in a new car?
2) Why people at DD motors are not trained up to the mark to make out what exactly the problems are?
3) Why a customer’s trust is broken again and again?
4) Why actions are never taken against who don’t work on the exact problem?
5) The most important question WHY MARUTI CLAIMS TO BE THE BEST SELLING CAR COMPANY WHEN IT CAN’T PROVIDE THE CUSTOMER THE QUALITY HE DESERVES AFTER PAYING A HUGE AMOUNT?

If you can answer these questions, I’ll be more than happy to recommend people to buy
Maruti cars BUT IF NOT, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND PEOPLE NOT TO GO FOR MARUTI CARS AND RATHER GO TO ITS COMPETITORS WHICH ARE NOT LESS IN INDIA!

So, the decision lies in your hands, I feel your reputation is at big stake here!!

As of now I would say Moral of the story is “DO NOT BUY MARUTI CARS, THEY MAY GIVE YOU LOT OF TROUBLES”

Though I’ve lost all hope but as nothing can exist without hope in this world, I am hoping that things will be done as per my expectations at least this time!
