[Resolved]  MTNL Delhi — Pathetic service , No connection even after one month of booking

Hello All,

I am following up with MTNL office sector -6 from more then a month but I am deeply hurted by the response and service, I just wanted to share my story and if anyone of you can provide me justice then I will be very grateful.

25th Dec 2012

I called up in MTNL customer care and book a connection for fixed line internet with phone instument , Plan was Rs 499/- Monthly with 4 Mbps unlimited internet plan. Also there was 500 rs off on Wifi modem so I opted Wife modem. Same day Mr. Harkesh Saini came to my house and collected all required documents with RS 500/- Instument charges.

I waited till 2 weeks and when didn't receive and responce then called up Mr Harkesh Saini ( who picked up document and Rs 500/- ) , He said there is some delay and suggested me to wait for one more week. I waited for one more week and then again called him , this time he said nothing is my hand you can go SEC-6 Rohni MTNL office at 10 AM and meet to SDO MR. Karar.

23rd Jan 2013

Finally I took half day from my office and reached to MTNL office sec-6 Rohini to meet SDO Mr. Karar at 10 AM in the morning , I waited till 11 Am but nobody turned up to SDO seat , approx 11 am someone suggested me to meet Mr P.S Dheer ( I am not aware what position he is holding ) and said he is a senior officer and he can help you.

Now I want everyone to focus on conversation held between me and Mr. P.S Dheer

me :- I expalined all things to Mr Dheer and I appreciate that he could listen to me.

Mr Dheer :- ok , I got your point and your connection is late because we done have phone instrument in our stock.

me :- ok , sir so when you will have instruments , I think you are a senior person and you should have update when you got all things.

during our conversaion Mr Dheer was getting calls on his mobile and landline and he was commiting and favouring regarding intalling new connection and I was surprise that he was saying to a lady that " Mam for you I can arrange phone instument , do not worry "

Mr Dheer :- Yes I have update and we will be receiving phone instument after April this year , next financial year.

It was shocking for me , as I had already paid Rs 500/- for phone instrument and I would not be getting it till April 2013.

me :- OH! , so it would be great if you can just start my internet services and later on when you have phone instrument you can provide it to me.

Mr Dheer :- ok , In this case you just write a letter to me , saying that you do not need phone intrument as of now and it can be provided to you on availability.

Me :- I said , OK and I wrote a letter then and there and gave it to Mr Dheer and requesting him to at least start my internet connection.

Mr Dheer :- we don't have cable in our stock as well,

Me :- so , what do you suggest sir , should I buy the cable and then come to you.

Mr Dheer :- I should not say this but if you can by the cable you own then I can ask the line man to come at your residence for giving connection to you.

Me :- I said OK , please give me phone number of line man and I will talk to him after arranging the cable.

Mr Dheer :- gave me telephone number of Line man ( Sanjeev ).

I called Sanjeev after coming out from MTNL office , He said to me that no need to buy cable , I have the cable I will come to your residence and complete the connection. He indicated me that rather then buying it give something to me.

Same day at 1 PM , Mr sanjeev came to my house and install the cable ( with karcha pani ) and said in couple of days someone will come to you to install modem , he also shared my number in the evening time[protected].


24th Jan 2013


Aprox 4 Pm I received a call from MTNL and person was claiming that he is SDO calling from Sec-6 office rohini , he gave me mobile number of Mr. Brijanand ( J E ) and asked me to collect my modem on Sunday ( 27th Jan 2013 ) after coordinating with Mr Brijanand.

27th Jan 2013

I called up Mr Brijanand at 10 AM and he asked me to come at sec-6 at 11 AM , I also explaned my pain to him but all in vain, I reached at MTNL SEC-6 Rohini office sharp at 11 AM and again called up him , he was on the way and reached to office at 11:30 AM.

I asked for modem , he gave me normal modem then I said him that I requested for Wifi modem during my internet application to MTNL. he said probably some clerical mistake and suggested me to give a application and issued me modem with required cables.

I came to home and installed it but internet was not working.

28th Jan 2013.

I called up Mr Brijanand and explained the problem again , he said check if dial tone is coming or not. I said that instrument was not provided to me then how can I check the dial tone. He suggested me to check with my neighbours if they can provide me the instrument for a while.

I could arrange the phone with one of my neighbour and tested but there was not dialtone , so again called up Mr Brijanand and confirmed him back that there is not dialtone. He said this is the problem and said that now line man will check this.

29th Jan 2013.

Line men came to my residence and fixed the dial tone issue , but net was not working becuase DSL light on the modem was continously blinking. I called up Mr Brijanand approx 20 times but he didn't picked up my phone.

Then I called up [protected] ( customer care ) and asked for help , customer care representive said if you don't have phone instrument then no help can be provided remotely but he raised a ticket for DSL light and said some one will check soon ( Ticket number :[protected].

Also one information was shared with me by customer care executive that you billing has already been started from last 1 week. I was shocked as my internet was not working , no phone instrument was provided to me but billing was started from back end.

Just after raising the ticket , when I checked the modem DSL light was stable , I was very happy and tried on my laptop , found the internet was working. but my happiness could remain with me only for 10 mins , as after 10 mins DSL light again strated blinking.

30th Jan 2013

In the morning time , I received a call from Mr Brijanand I explained all things to hime then he said speed need to be decreased ( no logic behind it ). I have decreased your speed to 512 KPBS after coordinating with NOC team and it seems it need to be decreased further and then only your internet would start working. I couldn't understand all these things but only requested him to start my internet connection at least.

I waited till middle of the day but internet was not working so again Approx 1:30 Pm , I personally visited to MTNL Sec-6 Rohini and met with Mr. Brijanand .He said wait till 4-5 PM after then my internet will start working, after waiting 5 PM when internet was not working , I again called up Mr Brijanand but he didn't picked up my phone.

Finally I again called up in customer care to follow up on my earlier ticket number , but he said no action has been taken yet and gave me new follow up ticket number :[protected].

Till now my internet is not working and no phone instrument has been provided to me.

There are few things on which I want action and help if anyone can come forward and provide justice to me , else I am planning to take some serious legal action.

Why connection was booked if MTNL is not having sufficient inventory.
Why I was asked to purchange wire for my connection by senior officer of MTNL ( I have recording of it ) and when I confirmed from Line Men , he said no need to buy the cable and asked for some SEWA.
Why I have been provided OLD Modem , ( Modem provided to me by Mr. Brijanand is old modem and when I objected it then he said you need not to worry MTNL is responsible for changing modem in case if it is faulty and as of now we have this modem in our stock , no new modem)
Why Mr, Brijanad is saying to reduce my connection speed , if this is the case the why MTNL is having RS 499/- plan with 4 MBPS speed.
Why I hadto go and collect modem , MTNL engineer should visit my residence to install modem and guide me with usage.
Why my internet is not working till now.
When I will be getting my telephone instrument.
Many more but just wanted to say that I could have easily opted for other service provider rather then writing this long mail to all of you but I just wanted to make you everyone aware that this is happening with me and I am raising it , not sure how many customer would have opted for other providers after getting so much frustration from MTNL.

Please help me if you can.

MTNL Delhi — Phone not working

My phone no is 27934508 has never worked. I complained many times, but without any response.
my home instumet is not working proprly so plz change my telephon..
i have applied for 1 new connection through distance telecome on 17.06.2009 as per s.no.5486.
But i have not alloted any connection. I have connect them several time but they did not reply properly.
kindly allote me a connection or send my refund back.

Dear Sir,

My Tele Number 26149434 and disconnected from 12 Feb 2010 and pathced someone's residence. I lodged a complaint on 12 Feb 2010 with docket No 3625. But, no action has been taken till date. I spoken to concerned JTO of the location, he advised only ABHI TEEEK HO JAIGA... Is this possible to someone's number to someone's residence. Really I am in CONFUSE... My number working from 12 Feb 2010 in someone's residence... Very Poor Service...
my telephone no. is [protected] and its not working properly form 24th or 25th of feb 2010 .
when ever i pick up receiver to call someone its already ringing continuously . and i am not able to tallk anyone waya my telephone.
can you please help me out from this.

MTNL Delhi — MODEM IS FAULTY

MY INTERNET IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY DUE TO OLD MODEM FIX AT THE TIME OF INSTALLATION SO SAME SHOULD BE CHANGE AT THE EARLIEST .
